they ship the cigars from third…

Since they ship the cigars from third party,you know exactly what you will encounter,if the third party ships good cigars in reasonable timing,and you receive your order,then you lucked out,but on the long run you will definitely encounter a problem and lose money for certain, they don't replace lost packages or confiscated ones.. let's face it we all go for cheaper price tags,which they do offer and we know exactly what a terrible company this one has become since few months now.i have a feeling that suddenly this company will disappear and all the orders left hanging will be lost .

Scammy merchant caught red-handed selling FAKE cuban cigars (especially Cohiba).

They even admitted it. The whole thing is public, go have a look at Reddit.com, you'll easily find all info, proofs, emails, screenshots and documents showing that they scammed hundreds of people over the years.

Do not buy here, nor with their (newly formed) parent company GranVega.

Confirm Montefortuna has the cigars are in their inventory before you purchase.

Montefortuna takes orders, charges your credit card, and then tried to procure the cigars from "third" parties. In other words they sell cigars that they don’t have in inventory.

After a few months, they couldn't confirm a firm shipping date for my order so I received a refund from my credit card company. Montefortuna complained to me that they had to pay a chargeback fee and were canceling my account. That was the best news I ever received from them!

No Longer a Good Cigar Merchant

Montefortuna is no longer a good and reputable cigar merchant. Something has changed and as a result I have not received thousands of dollars worth of Cohibas and therefore simply lost the money associated. I wouldn’t be involved with the cigar industry if money was of huge concern but it’s about principles. They do offer a good selection but you will unfortunately not receive the order so it’s a moot point. They do respond to emails however but it still doesn’t change the situation of not receiving what you pay for. Additionally, Montefortuna is the only source I have ever not received my orders from. I have even had cigars get lost in customs from other merchants that eventually surfaced and were delivered to me within reasonable time with good humidity. Please do not give this merchant your loyalty or business.

Absolutely horrible product and experience

Absolutely horrible product, and worse customer service. I ordered SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS worth of cigars, and they were delivered in horrible shape. Hoyo de Monterrey, Trinidad, Montecristo, etc. First of all, the boxes were opened and I specifically ordered "unopened boxes." Next, nearly every box had bad cigars in them. From cracked wrappers to mold, and several were cut unevenly, making it obvious that they (at least some) were not authentic. I sent pictures, which they requested, but they denied liability because I ordered boxes that were sealed, and they could not inspect them....BUT THEY SENT ME OPEN BOXES!!! They promised to send me pictures of the boxes before they were shipped so I could confirm that they were not opened and authentic, which they did not do. At the end of the day, they offered me a $100 credit TOWARDS FUTURE PURCHASES which is absurd. I will never do business with these people again.

They will not replace your cigars if…

They will not replace your cigars if custom confiscate them. IHavanas replaced all my cigars after custom confiscated them. Montefortuna will not replace nor will they give your money back. I spent thousands of dollars with them over the last couple years. They beat me out of $500.00. DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM.

Have accounts with three

Having used Montefortunacigars,com since 2019, my experiences have always been good. I have accounts with three competitors and I found these the best prices for Cubans on the internet. Always arrived in reasonable time and in good condition. Unfortunately, prices for Cuban cigars have gone up 100% on the last two years and I cannot bring myself to pay that much.

US BUYERS BEWARE

US BUYERS BEWARE. They offer no guarantee of delivery and if it doesn’t get through Customs it’s your problem. Their Customer Service is the worst I’ve ever seen. Other reputable companies out there.

My order was filled with regret.

I reqret that I am in the position that forces me to share my recent experience. I have never had one problem with Montefortuna until a month ago. I place my order on November 8th and as of today the 6th of December my order remains in processing status. I wrote the an email two weeks after I placed the order and it hadn't been shipped. They gave me the pre-promotion excuse as well. I did receive one other email from them stating that they would get the order filled ASAP. At this time I am no longer getting any respond from email I have sent. Don't waste your time with this people. I may just have to file fraud with my credit card company if nothing changes.

Two orders lost. A third thrown away

Two orders lost in the mail. I contacted them to cancel a third order. They shipped it anyways with "upgraded shipping." That order was also lost. They will not refund or reship any of the three orders placed!

They are also well known sellers of fakes! They try to play it off as an isolated incident. It wasn't. Buy from ihavanas or cohcigars like everyone else. There are plenty of legitimate vendors that will take care of their customers.

Borderline criminal!

Horrible horrible terrible customer…

Horrible horrible terrible customer service experience I placed an order on September 11th of 2024 and I have yet still to receive my selection or shipment of cigars I reached out to customer service via email about 2 weeks ago and they told me that the items that I ordered some of them were on a presale status and they had not gotten those in yet but I should have been offered a full refund of my money's which I was not we are going into November now almost 2 months in and Hyatt still have to receive my cigars and I am a repeat customer

Avoid at all cost

First box ordered early September. Never shipped. Was given the presale excuse…. Exchanged for a box in stock…been 3 more weeks… still not arrived. Excuse after excuse. Horrible to deal with. Will never understand how they stay in business

I placed a order in June and was given…

I placed a order in June and was given several excuses as to why my order was delayed including presale. Now I received two of the three items back in September but was told they had to reorder the 3rd item due to damage which was the first excuse for the delay the 2nd was understaff 3rd was Holidays 4th was presale and by the way when someone place an order and it's a presale item that should be acknowledge before a customer place an order and not an excuse after.

I will give you credit that you have responded to my emails in a timely manner with a bunch of excuses 06/10/2024,16/2024 and you placed another order that was to replace the damaged order on 09/03/2024.
So, it's been four months since my original order, and you think that this is a good way of doing business?

I wouldn’t put a star

I wouldn’t put a star, but it made me put a star. Their service at Monte Fortuna is horrible. They will not get back to you until a couple days later and then they give you an excuse about how they are understaffed. I really don’t care I’m paying you good money I paid for priority shipping. It’s been over a month no cigars Horrible service

Worst customer service ever.

Worst customer service ever.. A returned order arrived May 8,2024 to distribution centre in Switzerland and did NOT get my refund until now October 04,2024

This order was returned as you refused to pay taxes on it, this does not come directly back to us in Geneve this first goes to a distribution centre in Zurich and we have absolutely no control over the speed it processes back to us as this is shipped with no kind of priority due to a refused payment on your behalf.

I am not one to put any bussiness down

I am not one to put any bussiness down, but, on this ocation I must say that I have had theWORST ever experiance buying a product. Firstly when I placed and paid for this order back on the 23rd July 2024 then waiting three weeks to find out they still havent p[ut the order together. Once the order was ready to send four weeks later I had to wait another four weeks to find out that nobody knows where my order is. To their credit they did refund me, but short $100.

DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE! MY ORDER TOOK 4 months to arrive I continuously asked for a refund and to cancel the order throughout those months and they REFUSED. When I finally received my order all the cigars were MOLDY and the company essentially blamed it on me and refused to give me a refund ?????? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
