Bad experience

Bad to deal with and slow to complete the order. The order takes more than a month to ship and the technical support service also does not solve the problem.

After more than a month of communicating more than 5 times, each time you gave different excuses than the other, and after more than a month passed, I was informed that the cigar was spoiled. I lost a lot of time waiting + I lost my money from the currency exchange. This is not a respectful way to deal with them.

The response is BS. If you state, "you ship Cuban Cigars Worldwide" on your web site this should not have happen. State exceptions. If you don't provide a rebate

Hi Mark, I have just looked into your shipping information and can see the following information from the investigation we opened on your behalf:

Your shipment to the United States of America is currently held at the customs office in the country of destination.



It will be released As soon as the recipient has settled the customs formalities. The recipient must contact the local Customs Information Center under this link: customs.


Further information about customs clearance and delivery processes in US is available on the following link: https://www.cbp.gov/contact/ports.

The shipment arrived at U.S. Customs. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) received the consignment and is currently processing it. CBP has 45 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) to process the item.



CBP has an additional 45 days to notify the recipient if the package is seized. If CBP detains a package, the International Mail Branch will send a letter to the recipient to explain the reason and provide specific contact information for further assistance.

Better late then never

After reading all these reviews, I have to say being in the U.S. If your cigars get to you consider yourself blessed,fortunate, lucky. It's not like it was a few years ago.That being said,I have been using this site for about 2yrs, thanks to Brian Glenn cigar obsession. They have offered a store credit rather then a refund. It's easier for them I guess. But had to send pic of customs confiscation letter. There prices have the shipping cost added in compared to other sites I've used.(NOTHING IS FREE) especially shipping. Also ,seems everytime I order the price drops the next few days SMH. Orders are taking longer lately 😕 but cigars have arrived to me. Go figure 🤔. Other than that no complaints.

They are the worst. Months of delays shipping but say 3 days from order. And never received package and no refund. After paying for guaranteed shipping The company shouldn’t be in business. Don’t know if they are scammers or thieves or just totally bad shtty company. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Order 172803 & 173583 NO SHOW/NO HELP

I am pleased to see that Montefortuna has responded to my concern. Montefortuna has not contested my credit card dispute. On my order page, both of the orders are marked as CB, which I assume is the acronym for Charge Back. There is a 90 day window to contest my dispute, so I will monitor. My faith is partially restored. Thank you for trying to keep me as a loyal customer. I want to continue buying from you. Help me help you.

Order 172803 for $1396 and Order 173583 for $1036. NO SHOW, NO HELP. The orders were placed on March 1 and May 17. I can row to Cuba faster...
I was a loyal customer since 2021 with 14 previous orders. I was told to hunt down my order with CBP. The wait time is a steady 2 hours and 27 minutes to talk to a U.S. Customs agent. There is no opportunity to speak with a Montefortuna representative.
I await any response. I have learned the term "caveat emptor" the hard way. Beware.

Fulfilled my expectations

After I’ve seen some bad reviews, I thought it was only fair to share my experience with Montefortuna Cigars. I was dubious to purchase with a low number of reviews, and the cheap pricing. But I had done my research, I was prepared for a fairly lengthy delivery time, and prepared for approx 100% order value in UK customs fees.

My order arrived in a little under 4 weeks, with almost exactly 100% order value in duty fees. And so met my expectations, and saved a bunch of money in the process. As an experienced consumer of the product I purchased, I was also able to easily verify these were legitimate Cubans.

Cigars were confiscated

Cigars were confiscated. Told me it's not their problem and read the fine print. Can't help. Do not order from these guys. There are others that legitimately guarantee their shipments.

My cigars were confiscated. Sorry, not our problem was their answer. Not even a partial solution. Your lost is not our lost. They could care less. It is LITERALLY their business to know on how to navigate through the crazy waters of customs. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

This is not a good site to spend your money with.

First let me say this. I have purchased cigars from iHavanas since 2016. I first purchased from this Montefortunacigars in 2022. IHavanas will replace any lost or confiscated cigars. Montefortuna will not. I have spent thousands of dollars with these
people, they are not truste worthy.
I purchased a couple boxes of cigars from this company. They was confiscated At the border in New York. One of their associates informed me they would not replaced the cigars.

Speedy, kind, direct and helpful customer service.

Have ordered from Montefortuna many times and always received my order in a correct and timely fashion. Even when a shipping issue arose, due to miss handling on the postal service end, montefortuna cleared it up, issued a credit, and even added a promotional box of cigars after the fact. Speedy, kind, direct customer service keeps me coming back.

Love these guys

Love these guys. Above and beyond customer service. One time I forgot to add expedited shipping.. I emailed them. They said because it's my first order they'll tac it in for free.

Very responsive customer support. Products come as advertised. I always go for "checked box" and it always comes well packaged with boveda packs and plenty of wrapping.

You can order with confidence from these guys.

Reliable Delivery to the USA

I have ordered Cuban cigars several times from this company and never disappointed. However, I usually have a problem getting my bank to approve the credit card charge since the company is located outside the USA. Their customer service was helpful to resolve this issue.

This one is a nightmare

This one is a nightmare, my first order on this website, a box of Sancho Panza OMHPOΣ (Omiros). Not a single stick is in one piece, and I chose open inspect. This is how you inspect your cigars? Glad I didn't bought all of them, and I feel sorry for the guy who bought the rest.
DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!
Reply: A few dollars coupon will not make things right! The moment you inspected it and still send this piece of st, the crime is done ALREADY.
