Been today in this shop and wanted to say big thanks for Sharon and girl call name Dee for being so helpful and kind they are doing amazing costumer service job!

I am very disappointed with the service at McColls Parkhead Sheffield, in particular the post office service. The assistants ( except one) chat between themselves when serving you but what is the most infuriating is that you can be waiting to use the post office and they tell you that it is closed because they are expecting a big delivery of wines and spirits. This has happened to me several times, and I would say to the management do not offer post office services if you cannot comply with post office opening hours.

To sum up, unhelpful staff who give you false information, are careless in processing mail and close the post office at will..

I had a COVID_19 test taken to mcColls Wrecclesham shop ,which is a priority post office for covid 19 packages to be sent from.
My COVID 19 package was securely sealed
As I followed the step by step guide book which you get with the test kit.
When my test kit was taken there the lad behind the counter whose name is aiden Jackson refused to accept the package.
COVID 19 is a serious matter this is disgusting

I ordered an item through their click and collect service etc. everything went smooth with DPD!! until it reached the Mcoll Depot!!! after making phone calls back and fourth between the depot and the store that my package was suppose to be delivered at! one side insisted my package was on record to be at the collection store?? while the store itself insisted they had no package for me?? I will never deal with Mcoll again for life!! the item I was suppose to receive was worth over 200 pounds!!! how the hell does this company lose it through a tracking system?????? and all they can do is say 'I don't know' or everything gots through a system????? so where is my PACKAGE!!!! I have since made a complaint and claim to find my lost package etc. still waiting for a reply from Mcoll??? UPDATE: I got my money back from the company who was very nice about the whole situation! as for Mccoll, they have done NOTHING!! I have phoned, sent emails!! they don't get back to you??? I have given up now as the seller of the package has set me free from chasing Mccoll

Great customer service it’s the second time this week I’ve visited my local Filton store and have been served by a wonderful lady called Jacqueline, so smiley, friendly and helpful. Not only is she very professional but we also had a great chat and a laugh. She is a real credit to the store and I really appreciate the great service you give in theses challenging times.

Me amd my partner went into the mccolls in witton gilbert tonight and see helped by a young lad. He was helpful from start to finish from while we were looking for what we wanted to when we purchased the items. He was brilliant aswell as being professional he had a laugh with us too. Excellent experience!!

Ringmer McColls, cannot fault this shop, have lived in the village, for 15 years, and Lyn has made this shop the best ever, she is always working, and always cheery and polite, and helpful, thanks Lyn, your a credit to the brand!

Just topped my electricity key up. Cashier charged me,then, said it hadn't registered on key. So why the hell was I charged. Idiot cashier said,"you will receive a refund ". So generous, considering it's my money. Which should not have been taken. So helpful, Head office is worse,you only get an answer machine. Switch board just as unhelpful,and rude. Ridiculous procedure, and staff. So unhelpful,
I bet I don't even get a call back from head office.

This company has to be one of the worst companies in the country. They let upper management bully and harass there staff and also it seems ex staff to. They have no ethics or standards they expect you to work at the drop of a hat and be on call and have no life. They allow lone working in high risk areas where crime is rife. Health and safety is practically non existent. They sell high priced food and carer nothing about the mental health of their employees. There main concern is their share holders. Just look at there reviews. Don't go work for this company they're complete scumbags.

Lazy staff member shut the shop before online/store hours, then decided to ignore customers. these people are the face of your business and with attitude like this sadly give it a very poor image, backstreet corner shop springs to mind. Mccolls- Torquay

Staff in Mcolls belper are rude. MY son asked for 15 cashback and the woman misheard him and rung in 50 to my card then only handed him 30. Rung them to be given bad attitude as if it was my son which i know its not trying to convince me she had not made a mistake at the till. Absolutely Disgusting treatment i warn everone to check twice as the staff are completely incompetent and should not be in a position of trust anywhere at all. Thick and Thicker.

Shockingly high prices, terrible customer service, chillers and coolers never cooling, terrible company, I'm not basing that on just my local one, I travel and they are all terribly run.

diabolical service high brooms, tunbridge wells. They have not enough staff and they ignore you and allow someone to queue jump in front of you because they are trying to cover shopping till and post office counter. I waited in line patiently in the queue as it got to my turn ignored me rather rudely called someone over that entered the shop after all of us queueing because they had shopping and he was already at that till rather than move 3 ft to the PO counter, happened before with another member of staff. always turned away because they haven’t had a delivery and have to close the shop, turned away due to a H&S issue because there wasn’t enough staff, turned away at christmas one time when they ran out of postage labels but lied about the reason but I turned up twice in the day so two stories didn’t add up, wish they would just close and reopen under new and better management. Absolutely need to get their stuff together or give up because they’re not serving the community well and someone else could do a far better job of it. Staff also rude sometimes.

I always have a pleasant visit to this shop, the staff are always respectful and happy to help.

My 13yr Son was refused service from Mccolls, due to the fact that there is a handwritten notice stating Children must be accompanied by an adult. This paticular store is bang in the middle of a Housing Estate and is our local store. I think this is awful as my friends Daughter who is 15yrs old and her carer was also refused service from the same store, I dont know any other store that has these rules. I think the store Manager seems to make her own rules for the store

Absolutely disgusting Martin's shipston on stour high street I am born and bread and over the years this shop has gone down hill I visited with my mum yesterday and I am appalled with the dirty and messy female behind the till serving who also can not speak english properly all the sweets on the shelf covered in black dust the shop is filthy which is not good anyway and on top of this we are going through a pandemic with covid and as everyone is aware the shop should be extra clean the female behind the till is rude as we left the shop she said by then in a very rude manner and the prices of the sweets are overpriced but this is not so much of a problem it's the cleanliness of the female behind the till and the state of the shop and letting more then 3 members of customers in shop and then also telling them to hurry up. but I suppose this is what you get with a I'll educated female that can not even work in a newsagents probably or do her job and then on top of this customers can not understand her language keep yourself and your shop clean and treat people the way you would expect to be treated back if it's not for customers you do not have a job and shipston is a small town and word gets around.

Recently sent a parcel through the McColl's post office network.
poor service,wrong service used to send parcel won't be using them again ever.
if you value your parcels and sending them use a normal post office not something is run by another company

Inconvenient Convenience Store!
I realise times are challenging for everyone in the retail industry, and I try really hard to support our local shops - but convenience shopping is simply inconvenient at our local McColls. The last 3 visits they were 'closed because we're having a delivery' (this is around mid morning each time) so I had to go elsewhere. Today they can only take card payments - I wanted a 99p bottle of milk and had the cash but they wouldn't serve me. So, enough time wasted on my local convenience store - I'll stick to Tesco, Sainsbury and Waitrose from now on.

I had an agreement with McColls in Irlam, salford, to deliver daily newspapers. After 1 day they stopped. When I asked why? I was told I was too far away from the shop to cover delivery. My husband and I are both shielding, as I explained to the shop person.
I have been sent demands for £1.75 with threats of further action if I don't pay !!!
The mistake lies with the shop who agreed to deliver and then changed their mind.
