Staff always polite and friendly and helpful in the Mccolls I use in Strath Square in Gairloch. Always get a warm welcome!

The local shop is just a few minutes from home. I visit at 7.0am every morning for the newspaper. Always open, usually before time. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I often buy "top up" items which are always good and there is a Post Office section which I use often and saves a long trip.

No other shop in the area.

I regret I can't recommend the Locksbottom store, Farnborough Kent, anymore. The recent changes within the last approximately two years have set a poor neighbourhood example.
Whereas before the shop which now houses McColl's was a Post Office whose range was magazines and sweets, the degeneration slowly arrived. First, the former sober little shop appearance, to draw attention to itself within the row, was painted a bright, garish white. Then, shelves of alcohol appeared; a cynical decision taken I'm told by the Area Manager; it's a few yards from a large wine shop, which are themselves across the road from a petrol station which is already saturating this taste, whilst supposedly endorsing not drinking and driving; which are both themselves within seeing-distance of one of the South East's largest supermarkets, with shelves heaving under alcohol; so it was a tragically unoriginal, depressing decision.
When the Post Office within is closed, which is increasingly often, they have two queues, right behind the door, instead, so consequently it's hard to leave or enter without walking into somebody, or asking them if you could pass by.
One of the two Customer Service Assistants, yesterday, about 4pm., the 14/12/'20, was adjacent, adjacent, to the stamps which my Mother wanted to buy. Instead of reaching to her immediate left, without bothering to look up at her, a waving arm was raised to do the speaking, instead, and the body to which the flying limb was attached curtly told her that she'd have to join the queue that stretched nearly to the back of the shop. There are two queues, I accept that. My point is the two queue system right behind the constantly opening and closing door, both of which entering and leaving customers have to negotiate; the makeshift arrangements for stamp selling, (not one yard from the Till at which you go to buy the other articles); the depressing sight of yet more shelves of alcohol; and, yesterday, the curt, impoliteness have all created a sense of profiteering degeneration; but perhaps only in the minds of those who remember what the shop once was. For new arrivals, it's par for the trend. It shows no ambition to lead by higher example.

I think our local McColl's is very good. The service is speedy and the people in the Post Office part are very knowledgeable. It has a nice friendly atmosphere and they do special offers every week.

Fantastic service by everyone at the McColls store in North Shields by my house, a real community feel where the staff genuinely care about us as customers, especially during this difficult time. Well done Kate and team.

Friendly Helpful staff in the Kempsey Shop tonight, only problem was most of the fridges not working which limited stock availability

I am in my local store at Pansport in Elgin at least once every day so freindly they are just like family very nice i always come out with a large smile on my face . keep up the good work we all need someone to put a smile on our faces with whats going on .

Worst store in relation to Covid 19 measures, customers do as they please, there's no attempt at trying to encourage or educate the importance of wearing a face mask, keeping a safe distance and using hand sanitizers/ cleaners, those that don't or genuinely can't wear a mask don't use the sanitizers, nobody cares not even head office or customer services despite being in tier three for months prior the November lockdown and will be again after December 2nd.
McColls have many shops, with so little effort and concern no wonder the virus is spreading, McColls really should play their part by doing all they can to try to get customers to comply with the rules, shameful to do nothing.

Have never seen any Staff at McColls in Chandag Rd BS31 1PW wearing a face covering or social distancing from each other or customers from the start of the pandemic until now. The feedback I have given to the company has not been acted on.

The staff in Marlborough street Mc Dolls are friendly and helpfull no matter what time of day you go into the shop. They have been working tirelessly all through this covid pandemic, and make every effort to keep customers safe. Can't praise them and the manager Ian enough.

Yesterday 15/11/20
I went into McColls in illogan
I was only one in when I first walked in . By the time I got to the till I noted 2 women in front of me with no masks on. Chap behind counter was helpfully wearing a mask. I looked behind me and there were another 3 customers.
Unfortunately ,1 of these was not wearing a mask either. Big sign needed here saying no mask no service. Come on McColls Train your staff correctly. WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC. PEOPLE ARE DIEING

4 attempts to pick up my Hermes parcel and still no success. On the first two occasions one of the staff had left the shop to go to the post office and still wasnt back on my return, the only remaining staff member was unable to leave the till to go in the back to find my parcel. Third time there was an horrendous cue and customers were just walking away; myself included. Fourth visit the till attendant retrieve my parcel but was unable to process it because the system kept crashing! I persevered for 15 minutes and gave up and left. Also other customers were struggling to get in and out of the shop due to a faulty automatic door. This must be one of the worse run and managed shops in the Doncaster area! I shall not be stepping foot inside ever again.

Aden at Mcolls store on 52 Folly Ln, Swinton, Manchester M27 0AJ is racist and speaks about black and Asian people with racial comments, he avoids dealing with black or asians even if they are first in the queue. He makes customers feel very uncomfortable and not want to shop at the store. They company needs to do something about this man before he gets into trouble.

I am absolutely fed up with the ignorance of mccolls staff in England when it comes to Scottish money. I just visited mccolls in bedford place Southampton and they guy point blank refused my money saying mccolls don't accept Scottish money.
That's funny seeing as they have 1000s of shops in Scotland and if they think it's a forgery they can scan it the same way as English money instead of acting like only English money should be legal. Pure ignorance .

complete waste of time have been to the store multiple times to try and send items off in the post and have been met with a nothing but excuses as to why the post office section can't either there closed even though the website says there open or there's technical issues or the persons on there lunch break for a hour surely all staff behind the counter are trained to use the postal systems.

Daubhill store, really friendly and helpful staff, keep up the good work, Maybe look at the automatic door, never works, so cannot enter and exit on My scooter.
