McColl's sent my dad (84, in a care home) an invoice for £4.11p for TV Guide deliveries, together with a threat of debt collectors and seizure of property because it hadn't been paid. We had never been invoiced before!

I paid the balance immediately and replied to their email requesting confirmation of receipt of payment.

Three MONTHS later I got a reply from McColls, saying they would check and get back to me.

That was over a MONTH ago.

This company threatens pensioners with bailiffs over four quid, then makes zero effort with their customer services. They didn't even get my name right in the email - for some reason they addressed me as "Team".

And this was AFTER the farce of trying to set up deliveries in person at the Coningsby branch. I had to go into the shop and complain TWICE because they simply were not doing what I had asked them to do.

If you look at the definition of "incompetence" in a dictionary, it'll just say "McColl's customer services". Useless, threatening, bullying people.

I've left a one-star review but they're that bad I figure they owe ME stars.

I went early to mccolls meredith road Ipswich as they have a post office that you can put money in before the main post office opens I heard this young girl moaning behind the counter to a customer saying she doesn't work here she wasn't happy it was my turn so I asked I would like to put money in my bank she said post office doesn't open till 9am I know that I wanted to put money in on the post office there side well she had a right go at me I rang the shop who explained that she is not trained to do that as they only have 2 staff at any one time and they are both off sick and are short staff they need to have someone else on shift that can do that and have a word with her to stop being sharp to the customer as it doesn't look good

Now morrisons daily, Senior staff need a course on how to treat their employees, being management is like being head of a family, you need understanding and compassion, you need to lead by example, especially with the attitude, you don't complain about employees to other employees. You need to understand that different people learn in different ways, some just by being shown or told how to do things, others by someone talking them through doing something while they are doing it. If management is moody to the staff, the staff will get moody and quit.

I have used this shop a few times now to see if it got any better, but no it hasn't 😕 staff are quite rude, always stood outside smoking ,not very helpful ,think some customer service training is needed to be honest.

Do not go to Mccolls on north road Darlington. Now grandly called Morrisons daily. Health and safety TOTALLY ignored.Very rude staff who swear at you given half a chance. Most miserable expensive shop I ever had the pleasure of never entering again. Door broken and I put my arm out of joint endeavouring to open and close the damn thing on instructions by the pig ignorant staff.I am a disabled pensioner of well over 70.I have never been so insulted by ignorant shop staff.Maybe a surprise visit by the owner would expose them for what they are.Totally disgusted by the attitude and to be fair 3 years ago the staff were lovely,but sadly some retired and a lot of the nice staff were bullied out by the rude staff. It’s a horrible unsafe shop with NOregard for health and safety.

Man screamed at me saying my ID was fake when it wasn’t showed him everything else I had to proof my name bro asked for my passport like I carry a passport everywhere ffs.

Just been in McColl's Tupton and bought 2 diet cokes as advertised for £2.60
She scanned them and said that is £4 pls. no I said they Are marked up at £2.60 and I want them for that price.
She said I am not legally obliged to do this, to which I them knew she did not know what she was talking about and was poorly trained.
I said ok if you are refusing to sell the me at that price then remove the labels, right now, as you are fraudulently misrepresenting the items under the sale of goods act…
She refused to do this and I took a picture for reference to show the price offered…
This is a terrible shop, the prices are always wrong and customers are continually overcharged by this company.
Therefore, I am sending the pic to trading standards and referring this to the mcolls head office outlining that their badly trained employees were still allowing fraudulent transactions even when they were told by myself to remove the current prices immediately.

I would like to make a review about the shop here in Skipton. I went in this morning to put some money on my meter cards but the system went down. So the chap (Gordon) went round to another shop and put the money on my cards for me as I had trouble getting there 😳 I'm 73 and I'm partly disabled. He was really helpful in doing it I'm truly grateful for his assistance 🙏 many thanks 😊 he is truly a nice fella I myself had no chance of getting to the other shop. Too far away. Thanks 👍

I wouldn't even give this one star. I went into the Queen Street store in Glasgow to return a parcel and was rudely greeted by an older employee in his 60s. I asked him to print a sticker for my return and he started sighing then turned to his fellow worker and mumbled something. From what I picked up he called me an 'f-ing w*****'. I have severe social anxiety and depression, I felt extremely uncomfortable in this circumstance. When I thought I couldn't feel anymore belittled and marginalised he calls on a female employee who he whispered something else to. She then started giggling and pointing at me. I felt so vulnerable in this situation, especially with myself being the only customer present in the store. I asked for my parcel back so I could return it elsewhere however he refused to give it back to me twice. After asking again I finally got it back. Unless you want to feel victimised and vulnerable I do not recommend you go in here. Everything either felt like a chore for the staff or an excuse to try and ridicule me.

Visited Esher branch this morning ,always greeted with a friendly smile and helpful staff.

The Man operating the Post Office this morning on Oct 31st was rude, condescending and impatient.

Went by this shop today to ask where I could get electricity key fob topped up as it was closed for renovation. Someone called Sylvia told me to F@ck off and further profanities. Beggers believe that someone like this works in a retail store to help customers. I would rate zero if I could. Looks like I'm not alone with the reviews on customer service. Finally got it sorted by a lovely man who has the newsagents just further up the road. Would recommend others to AVOID RS Mcoll Craigentiny.

Guy serving couldn't be less enthusiastic if he tried. Severe lack of customer service. Would have given this review 1 star but previously the more senior staff members have been better.

Bordon shop. I arranged delivery of an Amazon parcel to the above store. When I went to collect it at 5.30 pm the shop was empty and the cashier was just returning to his post. He said he couldn't fetch my parcel from the back room of the shop as he was on his own and couldn't leave the till (even though he wasn't at the till when I entered the shop). I said, so what's the point of being an Amazon pick up point if you can't let me have the item when I turn up to collect it? All he could say was that's their policy when only one member of staff is on duty. (What the hell is a shop doing open with only one member of staff on duty and what does he do when he needs the toilet?) Won't be using them again.

No Customer Service whatsoever from Head Office staff. I raised an issue on line early in June - it was ignored. I wrote by recorded delivery on 12 June - again, ignored. Then went on the FB page and subsequently messenger for several weeks. Still no one has addressed my original complaint. Absolutely appalling customer service.

Mc colls reading. Why you have amazon collection point if you are extremely unreliable. It's Sunday and again it's only time when I can collect my parcels and AGAIN you guys shut early.
Hope the staff change there soon cos this people know nothing about customer service. Extremely arrogant staff .

Visited this shop two mornings on the trot and they would not take a return parcel for Yodel. Said they had no where to store it. Have complained to Yodel. If you want to make a return I suggest you don’t bother with this shop

We purchased Morrisons fresh salmon fillets. On home 35 minutes away, we noticed the salmon was a day past it's sell by. The store can easily see this by checking the bar code etc, which I offeredto supply. When I rang to complain they said that I had to return the item in person, over 30 minutes drive. They were very unhelpful, borderline rude. It is a public health hazard to sell fish past it's used by date.

I ordered an Amazon parcel. 2 days after I received notification that it had arrived I visited the store to collect it. Earlier in the day they had dropped a bottle of wine so the shop was closed. I returned the next day but my parcel had been returned. I reordered the item and went to collect the parcel the day after it arrived but the Post Office was shut due to lack of staff
