Dropped off a yodel parcel to the stansted road store, Hoddesdon. Initially he refused to take the parcel on seeing that I had nothing in my hands to purchase, then reluctantly gave in and proceeded to tell me that he doesn’t make any money if people just drop parcels off and don’t buy anything. Very rude man and extremely uncomfortable to deal with. If you don’t wish to take parcels then don’t register as a yodel drop off point.

Just went to the Fareham branch to drop off some yodel parcels and the man rudely in front of everyone behind me in the queue said 'so you're not actually going to buy anything from the shop then?!' I said no thanks. He then apologized for 'her' to everyone in the queue as I was leaving.
He treated my parcels badly, throwing them on the floor and one of the labels was ripped. I will be seeking compensation if they arrive damaged or don't arrive.

Just wanted to say how wonderful the staff are at our village store in Lepton, HD8. Was running late and phoned ahead to check I'd got enough time, when I got there with a minute to spare your colleague Georgina already had my items ready for me at the till. The team here are always good but I felt this deserved a specific mention.

Went to drop of parcels in the Mold, North Wales branch but found the door not only shut but locked at 12.45pm. 2 staff in shop ( and a man not in uniform) and no explanation, I No note on the door … nothing . I stood outside and waited for 20 minutes and watched 24 other people each slam into the door ( expecting it to open) Several knocked the window, we were stared at by one member of staff who was putting away milk, the other woman just stood there..neither had the decency to explain when they they’d be were open.
I’m pretty disgusted … it wouldn’t have taken much effort to havel written a note to explain & popped it on the door.Instead we were standing around not knowing quite what to do. Certainly won’t go there again or recommend.

I have put a 1 star rating even though this shop has served me diligently for years but this review if my current problems with the current management of this shop. I raised a complaint to MCCOLLS management against the attitude, customer service provided by the post office counter of 187 Chatsworth Avenue, Cosham, Portsmouth and it seems that this situation remains unresolved and ongoing. I now believe that this behaviour is racially motivated and not acceptable, I run an online business and has been dependant on this post office counter for the last 13 years plus on an everyday basis. Since just after Christmas 2022 I randomly got told that I cannot do 'many' packages at this branch and I thought it was a joke and ignored. Following day we had a similar conversation and I called McColl's immediately I left the shop complaining and at this point I wanted to know exact number of the packages I could process at this branch. I was advised that there was not limit and I should continue posting as normally. About 3 weeks I was verbally told that it is now confirmed that I can only do up to 5 packages which I accepted quietly and have been going to high street on Mondays rather the last 2 Mondays to avoid a confrontation. Mondays is usually the day I would normally have more than 5 packages because of weekend pile up. Today I have turned up with 6 and a after back and forth of being told to request permission from the manager to post 5 packages - I have been sent away with 1 and at the time of posting there wasn't even any other customer waiting to be served because the argument has been that 'they can't keep the shop customers waiting as they not paid for the post office service' - Got told this by the manager. This is not acceptable! there are CCTVs in there you can have a look at what actually happened and the argument is for 10 - 13 packages sometime less not even 20 or 30? Until now both Royal Mail and McColls have failed to sign post clearly for their customers the exact amount of post that can be processed at this branch, so far it has been a verbal communication to me leaving me feel singled out for this. Royal Mail why have a service and a counter in there when it does serve your customers or your customer become second priority? Like I have said this counter has diligently served me when Julie manned it for years without a problem. I cannot believe the level of service being provided and bullying I'm being subjected to by the Manager and 1 shop attendant right now

Excellent customer service as usual at the Horley branch

Sam at the Crofton Road branch was so helpful and calmed an anxious situation for me with my electricity voucher after three other places were unhelpful. Thank you Sam

Received a text to collect a parcel from St andrews Street Dunfermline. Arrived about 5 minutes later all was going well until she made a rude comment saying next time leave it for an hour to allow us to process. It was an empty store and she managed to get my order in a few minutes. Her throwaway comment spoiled my whole day.

Visited your store on Chandag Road, Keynsham, Bristol this evening.
You had a male (who'd been there 20 some odd years I heard him saying) and a female on the tills chatting away.
I came to the tills to get served and they did not break their conversation to deal with me. The guy just scanned my two items, didn't even tell me how much i owed i had to look on the card machine for total, I scanned my card and even when I said thank you, absolutely nothing.
Absolutely zero interaction with me the customer. I found this incredibly rude. I'm working locally and will not use the store again.

Tried to collect a parcel to be told the system was down and it may be back up by tomorrow! This was for a present tonight and I’m fuming

Your Altway Site in Aintree is in shambles Managers are leaving people to run the Shop and Post Office on their own that have no clue how to use the machines, I have just been turned away by the Staff at the Post Office because the kid simply just does not know what they're doing I asked him why was he on his own running the Shop when he can't work the Post Office and was told "I don't know I'm asking myself the same thing". All in all this place needs a complete rethink of the Staff as they're incompetent at carrying out the job that is required of them. Took my business elsewhere instead in the end.

3 different shops on way to work... shelves empty every day and anything that is in stock is silly priced, staff have just given up they have been treat so poorly. These out lying villages rely on shops like this.. come on get it together!!!!

We have just received a “final request” for papers delivered from
McColl’s, in Mold, Wales. The letter states that they will “consider further action to recover the debt and your deliveries have now been suspended”. The debt is £6.70 and is apparently owing since 22/8/22. We paid £52.50 on the 22/8/22 to fully pay up what we owed and we cancelled deliveries from then. McColl’s “final request” is, in fact, the first request that they have made.
It isn’t the money that really bothers me but the principle. It isn’t the first time we’ve had problems with them. On a day to day basis we had no idea whether papers would be delivered or not and, in addition, their record keeping is appalling. Furthermore this branch does not answer their telephone. This is simply a company that you can not trust. To send threatening letters like this is unacceptable.

Lepton ( Huddersfield) shop staff are great all ways friendly and with a smile on there face. Even though the shop is not working probably they do there best. 5 stars to the staff but 1 star to the company

Went into McColl's, Woodhall spa to send back two items (I had collected a few days prior) to be told that they are refusing items that are too big! Explained they were within the weight/size guidelines AND I had collected from this store a few days prior....Oh, sorry the computers crashed!!!!

I try again the next day (different member of staff) OMG!
The shop is empty so I explain "the computer crashed" so I am trying again to which she asked "what before or during transaction"! I don't know the answer to this but I doubt it was either ....
I take the parcel round to her to save her carrying it then pick up my receipt and let her know I will return with the other when her now customers have left the shop.
On returning with the second I get a dirty look but she goes behind the counter to receive the parcel. It's a similar size to the first but smaller so she says disprovingly "Oh you bought two"!!! Eh, no
Sorry but I was very polite to both members and staff but the second one you would think I had slapped with a wet fish!! Not a smile or a polite word from her.... My opinion is, if you don't like your job then find another you do like, preferably not in customer relations......
Will not be using this shop again.....

I use store 0425 on a regular basis and always get above and beyond great customer service from hannah she always goes out of her way and it always super happy .... love this shop and the rest of the staff !

Although nice staff and very convenient location, i prefer to use a different shop. MCColls are single handedly trying to destroy the environment, selling disposable barbeques, despite other retailers withdrawing them from their shelves to stop the risk of countryside fires in this tinderbox environment, and also selling those frisbee rings that bring slow and miserable deaths to local seals. Money more important eh? Shame on you.

Dropped my parcel at local branch of McColls on 9th June for collection by Yodel. The next day the shop closed suddenly due to "environmental concerns". They just shuttered it up and didn't even leave a note on the door. Yodel haven't been able to collect the parcel but won't refund me because it is the McColls's fault. McColls won't refund me because it is Yodel's fault. I even went to the local paper and got an article published about it but when the paper contacted McColls they lied. They said the store had only been closed since 16th June. I think even Yodel might have been able to collect a parcel if it had been there a whole week before they closed it. You'd think the staff might have told customers to drop parcels somewhere else. You'd think they might be prepared to offer me some form of compensation for what is a monumental screw up. But of course the finger pointing and platitudes will continue for as long as they think they can get away with it. There is absolutely NO INDICATION about when this situation will be resolved. It could be months or even years. Meantime I have had to refund the recipient of the parcel for the goods they bought and may never see the parcel again. Head Office initially responded to my emails but now seem to have lost interest. I ask for details of their complaints process. No reply. I just want someone to take responsibility for this. Is this too much to ask?

Extremely bad customer service from most of the staff. New staff need to be trained on people skills, they are unprofessional, unpleasant and completely in the wrong job.

No apology or phone call for their daily, weekly and monthly poor delivery service of the newspapers. No point chasing them to find out where the papers are, the staff aren’t interested.

I would give minus if it was offered. The staff in Bentley, church hill road, are very rude. Went to collect my sons wages for paper round (he quit after 3 days when they finally told him he would get £1 a day for the round) to be told at first that he hadnt delivered all the papers, again he delivered all papers that were on the list. I questioned this so she then gave me the money but was unbelievably rude stating he is only 13 and shouldnt expect more than a pound a day.
