Excellent customer service from Alan & his whole team at The Greenway, Hornsea.
Everyone is always happy to help.
It is so refreshing in this day & age to have a local shop that is part of the community where the staff remember & acknowledge all of their customers.

I went to my nearest branch in Singleton. Ashford. Kent. The time was 6.25pm . I wanted to post a parcel. A young man told me the post office position was closed due to no staff being present who were trained in the post office section. I said it is advertised on the website as open until 10.00pm. He replied Yes sorry but I am not trained in the post office section . No. member of staff is on shift who can do this. I asked which Mcolls branch is open . He replied he had no idea! He seemed to be the only member of staff there. There were a number of customers shopping not wearing any face masks and going unchallenged regarding doing this! I went to another branch of Mcolls where I received prompt efficient service at the post office section!

AS McColl's is very local to us, it's very handy and the staff are great, they are pleasant, they talk to you every time and it's not just serving you.....they are lovely (male & female)
I live near to the town and some of the staff in town shops are awful, not all of them but quite a few, so it's lovely to stay local.............

Friendly helpful staff managed by Sam. Store well stocked with everything. Post Office efficiently run. One way system indicated and queue indicators for distancing 're covid rules. Good to see a happy team working.

In times where employers should be keeping their staff safe and members of the public, can you please tell me why Mccolls feels its right to keep its Westfield, Woking, Surrey branch open after a member of staff has tested positive for Covid and to make things even more unbelievable, the member of staff delivers the newspapers to hundreds of customers a week!!!!!! Hope all your customers have been informed????

Took my daughter to a local store for sweets and a soft drink.
They have airport prices, left and walked 5 minutes away to another shop.

I've just tried for nearly three weeks to have newspapers delivered to my house, 0.7 miles away, from their branch on Kilnhurst Rd Rawmarsh, Rotherham to my address which is also in Rawmarsh, Rotherham only to be told it's too far away, a 2 min drive! My wife and I are over 60, she's a key worker working from home dealing with vulnerable people, so we're trying to avoid leaving the house. Nice to know there are retailers out there who are prepared to bend over backwards for you during this pandemic! Small wonder McColls has so many bad reviews!

Well...got message on 19 Feb that this was being passed on to an Area Manager! Not heard anything since...I've now arranged a delivery service with a different company, and so far it's been very impressive.

Was in Abbey View shop dunfermline no staff wearing masks all staff have disabled lanyards around there neck even though 3 weeks ago they all had masks around there chins I feel this is very disrespectful as I have a disabled kid and this is fraud from all the staff I have been complaining for 6 months now about the not wearing masks area manager been out a few times but dose not make a difference shocking putting the public at risk

Disgusting staff members, rude and ignorant. Will not be shopping here ever again.

Racist friendly Mccolls - Singleton, Ashford branch

The employee is happily serving the racist people while telling the victim to stop making it difficult for HIM and has the audacity to tell the VICTIM to “get out” while he ‘CONTINUES’ to serve the RACIST people... how does that make any sense

Just went in the Trimley St Martin’s store and saw a customer and their daughter not wearing masks of any sort. When I asked the member of staff do they at least not ask their customers to wear masks they just shrugged and said well, that it’s their human rights, I can’t ask them anything. You could tell by every aspect of their attitude and manner this staff member didn’t care one way or another and then seemed annoyed I was asking her to do some form of her job!

the manager and team at the stony stratford store are amazing! they have helped our little community through these tough times.

I visit McColl's at West Park Plymouth on a daily basis. The Manageress Teresa is excellent and has a good rapport with her customers as does Craig who enjoys a bit of healthy banter. I have never heard any bad comments from customers. All the staff are very pleasant

The worst post office in the area.
The post office closes 4 times a day for money count and one of the staff members is incredibly rude.(Birmingham accent). His attitude if you don't like go elsewhere great customer service.
I will also be reporting McColls Meopham to the post office complaints team to investigate the poor customer service.
I also intend to inform the locals via social media of this so called post office

The stores are dirty and don't follow covid guidelines. Some of the staff are thiefs and hands like to touch you in places they shouldn't. You have to walk through a cloud of smoke to shop. But if your friends with staff you do get a good bargain or freebie quite often. Managers unapproachable but figures because if your lucky to meet area managers they are worse and have no customer service skills.

Well seeing will be believing on the latest McColl's Coronavirus update. Especially about the wearing of masks in their shop. It's alright saying it, but putting it into action is another thing. On two previous
occasions I have written to the McColls Head office to state that my local shop is still allowing numerous customers to just walk in without a mask, and still get served. Going in daily I have never seen anyone without a mask be challenged or even asked politely to wear one in future. In fact half of the staff, choose not wear a mask. When I mentioned the fact to a member of staff, I was told McColl's protocol is not to challenge the customer for not wearing a mask, in case of retaliation. Which I can appreciate after being involved in an altercation only a few days ago involving a customer not wearing a mask. In his aggressive manner he said that "masks do not work anyway." To which I replied. "Well how do you know that if you choose not to wear one." Of the ten people going into the shop there maybe at least two or three not wearing a mask. Having been going to the same McColls shop nearly every day since they took over, I have now stopped going into the shop, due to the non compliance of customers and staff to wear a mask. The most stupid thing is, that our area is now higher than the national average for Coronavirus cases and yet McColl's still choose to go down the same route. Is not time that McColl's followed the approach taken by Morrison's and Sainsbury's, rather than letting any Tom, Dick or Harry visit their shops knowing they can get away with wearing a mask. It's just common sense, that's all!!!!

i went in McColl's to send back a item and the manager was very happy to help . the staff are lovely which makes all the difference in a store . I have stopped going to some stores because of the staff being nasty but I love going into McColl's ,I am a pensioner and sometimes I need some help ,nothing is to much trouble . this store is in Broad-law walk in Fareham

The manager in the Frome Valley Road Bristol branch could do with going on a customer service course. I went in to the post office this morning to withdraw cash and was snapped at because she couldn't hear what I said with my mask on. Then I was snapped at to put my card in the reader and the money was slapped on the counter. The excuse for such rudeness is usually that it's 'cultural'. There's a notice on the door that abuse won't be tolerated to staff, which is quite right, but this customer won't be treated like muck, either. I won't be shopping in there again.

Can we not get rid of the Heaton chapel Manchester rd shop and and have our wonderful coop back... i was in the shop last week and the manager was blowing his nose on a bit of old toilet roll...then continued to serve customers without first cleaning his hands...when I asked for his name the girl (Also with an arrogant attitude) questioned why and refused to give it me...i only pay my electric bill in the place...certainly wouldn't buy anything from them ...tin of spam is £3.75...nipped up the road an it was £2...might get away with it down south but this is The NORTH...worst shop with worst staff i have ever been unfortunate to shop in...Customer is king...staff are ten a penny...
