We used marker study portal for our repair process, all went well with good communication. One of the repairers was quite unpleasant, (Steer Fishponds) but we were allowed to move to another (Advantage Valley, Hanham) who did an excellent job

The service was excellent from being informed about calling to take pictures of the damage to fitting my vehicle being taken to be repaired having a courtesy vehicle while mine was being repaired and it being an automatic car on request as I have problems with my knees also my vehicle was picked up and brought back when the repairs were done and the work a done was excellent I cannot fault anything thanks

The repairs to my vehicle by Steer Prestige Boston were first class. All dealings with Steer were easy and trouble free. The remaining organisations involved were slow, confusing and did very little to make the already stressful experience of having an accident, any easier. Communications were poor and often incorrect. Often, I wondered why they were involved in the process at all. Overall, a poor performance.

My car went in to have the damage repaired on February 11th and I only got it back on Thursday April 9th.
That’s 8 weeks and one day !
It took a while to get the parts apparently then once they’d arrived, your engineering assessors were stalling on the problem with the gearshift being stuck in park when it was put into park. Their argument was, that that problem wasn’t related to the impact and wouldn’t release the car to Renault for a full diagnostic evaluation.
That caused further delay and they only relented when I personally called Markerstudy and explained, quite truthfully, that there hadn’t been a problem before the impact, so why was there now ?
The two were surely linked?
My car went to Renault on or around 30th March (7 weeks after going in originally) and the gearshift problem was diagnosed as a blown fuse which, to me, seems such a simple fix that I find it difficult to understand why that didn’t show on SG Petch’s diagnostic.
Renault also found an issue on their diagnostic with the headlight level sensor which was highlighted on the dashboard by a small warning triangle and a flashing headlight icon which had also appeared after the impact.
Unbelievably, Renault didn’t bother to look into that problem whist they had the car and handed it back to SG Petch with the problem still outstanding.
SG Petch then went back to your engineers to ask if Renault could be authorised to assess the headlight sensor issue, and were told no, because, yet again, your engineers said the impact wouldn’t have been linked to the issue.
Once again, I’d argue that there was no problem before, so why is there now ?
And that decision was made after me phoning Markerstudy AGAIN to try and intervene.
As SG Petch could now not proceed further with the headlight problem as you instructed them not to, I was now left with no alternative but to take my car back from them with the headlight issue unresolved.
I’ve had to personally book my car in with Renault to see if the problem can be resolved, hopefully under warranty but if not, out of my own pocket.
I’ve cancelled my forthcoming insurance renewal with Santander because they use yourselves as underwriters and I’ll NEVER use your services knowingly again.
I’ve had zero communication from Markerstudy throughout the process to say how things were going, I’ve had to try and intervene twice when that is surely the job of my insurance who I’ve paid money to for their cover, and I’m probably going to be further out of pocket fixing an unresolved problem which you wouldn’t authorise.
I’ve never had reason in my lifetime to send such a review as I’m sending now but the lack of understanding and attitude towards me throughout all this has been appalling.
For balance, on the occasions I had to call you, I spoke with the same person both times, Karen I believe she was called, and she did her utmost to resolve my problems and would be the only person I’d give any positive feedback to throughout this process.

I collected my vehicle from Pentagon Sheffield after a repair, on the 19th of March, and found all the bodywork completed to a brilliant standard. Unfortunately on driveway a warning came up on the dash to check the active air flap system. On returning the car the following day, they said one of the new activators they had fitted wasn't working,and would require a replacement. They said they would order a new one, and I was led to believe it wouldn't take to long. 3 weeks later I am still waiting. I was told the car was safe to drive, but only on short journeys as a possible overheating of the engine/electronics was possible. I am not Happy. The repair has been paid for, but my car has not been fully repaired.

The repair was arranged promptly. Car was collected from my work and courtesy car delivered.
I was updated regularly on the progress of the work.
There was a minor issue when the work was completed but there was no hesitation in them taking back to sort it out and the car was returned the following day.
Very happy with the service.

Initially the experience was pretty poor to be honest as i had different people across different departments giving me conflicting information about times and courtesy cars
but once that was sorted the service and experience was great - particularly the driver who borough my courtesy car/picked my car up and the same driver returning it - its was personal and friendly

I found myself in a situation I had never before experienced when my car was hit by a lorry and an immediate a write-off (total liability with the other party), and I was unsure how to go about anything! Markerstudy were both professional and efficient, as well as compassionate and concerned for my welfare. Each step was explained to me with patience and clarity, and the insurance payout for my poor old car was prompt. Superb efficiency and customer service.
