Frustrating First Claim Experience

The nice lady who initially dealt with the claim was extremely helpful but that unfortunately is where the positives end. It took over 4 months to get our vehicle back on the road which to be fair was partly due to the Volkswagen dealership being very unhelpful. When we eventually had the car returned there has been absolutely no communication from Markerstudy as to what work had actually been carried out on our vehicle by VW which I don't find acceptable. When I tried to contact VW directly I was told the insurance company was there customer not us.

From start to finish

From reporting the incident to actually going into the repair shop took exactly 3 months. Following that it has taken 3 weeks for the repairs to conclude. The curtesy car was very good although it had no fuel on collection, full to full would be more appropriate. Also how was my husband supposed to carry out his work in a car? Having now had our van returned to us the replacement door does not unlock correctly, it takes multiple attempts before it unlocks and when it does is very stiff. We will be taking it back tomorrow. It also has scuff marks on the offside which were not there before. This is very shoddy work and I will not recommend this garage be used in the future.

I had a good experience with the…

I had a good experience with the workshop who fixed my car very quickly. The only thing that I was dissatisfied with was the time it took you to send the invoice over to my insurance company. It was over 2 months until the recipient received invoice. Kind Regards David Rapley.

Great job - frustrating buteaucracy

The lads at the body shop sourced a new bonnet, installed it and did a fantastic colour match within their time estimate. They were friendly and efficient and even delivered the repaired vehicle to our home and picked up the courtesy car to save us the hassle.
The replication of bureaucracy and waiting in phone queues was very frustrating though - including being asked to submit a second review for the same job.
The insurance company quite understandably asked for all the details plus photos of the damage.
Then Vizion asked for the same details plus slightly different photos.
Then the body shop asked for almost the same details plus more close ups of the damage.
At each stage I asked why I was being asked again and was told that “nothing has come through yet”.

Very slow

Very slow, the quality was good, just that it took them a month to do the repairs. My tracker also showed that my car had been left it the sainsbury’s car park on one occasion. The estimates for finishing kept being changed so i had no idea when it would be finished.
Also the loan car was not really suitable, i drive an automatic for the last 20 years but was given a manual to drive, and was told no automatics were available. Luckily i am allowed to drive a manual. I would nor recommend them if you want the job done in a reasonable time.

I have written a review already - The repairs took a while but done to a good standard and when there was a small issue with one of the doors it was resolved very quickly!

An exceptional garage

Steer (Westbury) Collected my car

Steer (Westbury) Collected my car, left me a good courtesy car. They repaired my car, kept me updated and informed. It was a pleasure to deal with them. Staff really professional, friendly and helpful. They also cleaned and valeted my car. (wasn't expecting that)
They have done a really good job of repairing the damage on my car.

I had very good experience

I had very good experience. Professional staff, good communication. My car got stolen and it was quick payment to my finance company.
Good company to insure car and costumer service.
