Unethical billing

Unlike most any other soft ware,; you cannot cancel online, and must make a call to England during their business hours. Obviously designed to make it virtually impossible to do, and don't try to remove your cc info, because it's not possible. Will have to block with cc company.
Oh, no problem signing up or upgrading online!

customer support is good

customer support is good , but the reseller pricing is bit too high, (they will increase the price as they wish ) , and even after . a long time customer no adjustments or any support . but overall okay.

Business account - Support experience.

Have had a business account with LiveDrive for a couple of years now. The service has worked well for both backup and briefcase (cloud share drive)

I did have an issue with the Briefcase service and submitted a support ticket, honestly not expecting much to be done about it. After o few messages back and fourth with some suggestions the problem was still not resolved. I was then offered a remote session to assist and a phone call which certainly sped up the eventual resolution.

I had another phone call from their support upon resolution to ask if everything was now okay.

Having had an account with LiveDrive for a while now, I can see that their support nowadays has certainly improved from where it was a couple of years back, which is a positive sign.

I signed up for a trial but…

I signed up for a trial but found the online service, although fine for PC backup, would not scale to the speed & volumes I would need for video files. As it was the weekend, I was annoyed that I could not cancel easily online, but searching their help I found a cancellation form. I followed it up with a telephone call on the Monday morning and met rapid, polite & effective customer service. Hopefully this is the standard everyone will meet in future - but please Livedrive, allow online cancellation and hit 5 stars! :-)

Terrible service, terrible product

Terrible service, terrible product.... I have just lost 3 months' worth of data. The programme was no longer synching. I contacted livedrive support who told me to uninstall the app and download the new one. The new one won't install. I can't access any of my files unless I go online, but even then the last 3 months' worth of data are not there. Livedrive closed my case before they had even tried to fix it. I contacted an IT expert who said it didn't surprise him at all as he had had some other bad experiences with them. Bargepole.. bargepole...

Closing your account better dont open one!

This is not a comment on the service it is a comment on closing an account. They make it purposefully difficult and try and try to keep charging you unless you go through a long-winded telephone call and to the UK hopeless if you live overseas. Happy to take your money but not happy to provide local calling numbers irrespective of time which you have to spend. I had two accounts closed one and used the other until this year when a technical issue made me close it. They mned information on my latest account and used the credit card information to charge for the old account and did this TWICE to the tune of USD 288 twice. If you sign up for Live drive through Apple they do NOT allow this sharp practice a very good point to Apple they allow you to go back to Apple press a few buttons and close it no fuss. Afterall what is the point of making it possible to open in minutes but close it by having to call a number overseas only open 9 am to 5pm other than to make it difficult and get away with charging you for something you do not or no longer want. Consider Google, Microsoft one drive and of course Apple Icloud as alternatives that you can close and amend in a few clicks.

Terrible

Terrible. The software stops working without warning.. the support takes at best 2 days for a response and in the last instance they simply closed the ticket without a response.. no phone numbers so cant call... not GDPR compliant. Useless service I wish I had never come across. I has started the long process of migrating my 11tb of cloud data elsewhere. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Terrible service and appalling download…

Terrible service and appalling download speeds - I have 75MB/s download speed and yet I am getting a low as 24KB/s from Livedrive some times and at best 3MB/s . Its terrible service and absolutely not for a small business it is taking weeks to download.
Do not touch them - use Dropbox or anyone else.

I have signed for NAS backup and got …

I have signed for NAS backup and got charged two fees - $88.90 and 84.00 in same month. After that I started my upload process to their cloud. I have 1Gbs FIOS connection and my upload was from dial-up days hoovering between 1.1Mbs and 1.3Mbs... After few weeks of struggling and countless emails to them I decided its time to cancel my NAS subscription and I asked for a refund... At that time rep named Gourdev from Livedrive told me that I have signed for full year and I will not be able to get refund since its more than 14 days from the date I signed. I was trying to explain to Gourdev from Livedrive that after few weeks of trying to get that backup upload work - it still not working and that is the reason I want to cancel… I explained that upload speed would hoover between 1.1Mbs and 1.3 Mbs and upload process crashes every few days. Simply this is not a solution for me where I have several TB of data that needs to be uploaded and with such slow upload speed + crashes it would take me another few months to complete.
They refused to issue any refund claiming that in contract states that I will be charged two fees ($88.90 and 84.00) after 14 days of free trial. The thing is that we tried that thing to get it to work in these first 14 days but we couldn’t and they still believe they should get paid for service they never delivered. Shame on you Livedrive.

I am currently with IDrive where my NAS backup works fine and I can cancel at any time I want.

Livedrive lost 4tb of my files.

I had 10tb of storage with Livedrive. I have had issues several times with them. Their system let me back up my last 4 computers. I'm a photographer so could be bankrupted If I loss images. I looked online about a month ago and had 9.7tb of used storage. Two weeks ago I looked again and hadn't deleted ANYTHING and noticed I suddenly had only 5.3tb of storage. They deleted 4tb of my files. I didn't get a warning of this. The files had been on their server for 3 years. I had this reply to them after they tried to fob me off." I am sorry to have been the bearer of bad news, I certainly understand your position on this situation perfectly. Unfortunately, as mentioned during our conversation, at this point, the data you mentioned is no longer recoverable on our end due to reasons we talked about" I am now frantically trying to download the remaining 5tb of files they have. For some reason they are going to take months to download even though I have the fastest fibre broadband. I have done speed test and Im felling like they are making my downloads as slow as they can. Terrible avoid! AT NO POINT AND AT NO TIME SHOULD THEY EVER DELETE MY FILES.

Det tog forevigt at uploade data, og så fandt jeg ud af, at de slettede min backup af en ekstern harddisk, hvis disken ikke var i ved hver eneste backup. Data blev dog 'kun' flyttet til en papirkurv, som ville være tilgængelig i 30 dage. Men det betød, at jeg hver gang skulle tage ny backup af den eksterne, fordi jeg ikke altid havde den tilkoblet.

Da jeg så ville opsige abonnementet, ville de have at jeg skulle ringe til dem. Jeg forsøgte, men der var ingen forbindelse. Så skrev jeg til dem, og de svarede, at de ville ringe mig op, men det skete ikke, og de skrev så igen, at jeg skulle ringe til dem endnu engang. Det kunne jeg jo ikke, så jeg skrev tilbage, at de skulle kontakte mig, eller opsige min konto inden næste betaling om 2 uger. Pludselig kunne jeg ikke få kontakt til min backup, og det viste sig, at de havde lukket kontoen straks. Det var ok for mig, men jeg havde da forventet, at jeg ville have adgang i hele den periode jeg har betalt for.

Jeg har nu en ubegrænset Cloud hos Elgiganten. Jeg havde ikke de store forventninger til den, men det har vist sig, at være helt perfekt. Det er lige det jeg altid har ledt efter!! :-D

Non existing support and poorly written software

We have been using livedrive for the last year and it seemed like a good idea as the pricing model was simple - you pay £500 a year for unlimited clients and unlimited storage until without warning they changed the pricing model to cap that £500 a year you spend to 5TB then every additional 5TB will cost you around £60 per year - I don't mind this increase as long as the product is robust but this is not the case - The software keeps crashing on all Apple computers - I have a lot of customers with apple computers and every day I get a call saying Live drive has crashed again - when submitting a support ticket they responded saying they where looking into it but its now been 1 month without any solution what so ever - So I am now left with angry customers and a lot of my time wasted due to there poorly written software. I would keep well away from this company.

Unauthorised Payments, Never Heard of You.

For starters, get the hell off my bank statement. This company I have never heard of suddenly appears out of the blue, taking payments from my account, something seriously fishy going on here, have investigated, not bothered contacting the company. Too much hassle, just direct contact with the bank.

Misvisende hjemmeside og elendig support

Livedrive reklamerer med ubegrænset lagerplads til 29,. kr. om måneden. Når man så er færdig med at gemme alle sine filer på deres server, så får man en regning på 99,- kr. Det er fordi "Ubegrænset lagerplads = 250GB. Dette har firmaet skrevet allernederst på deres hjemmeside med bitte små bogstaver og markeret med en lille stjerne. Når man opretter sig selv som kunde, så tror man at man får ubegrænset plads til 29,- kr. fordi det er dét der står med store bogstaver på hjemmesiden. En misvisende og fejlagtig markedsføring.
Supporten hos Livedrive er ikke eksisterende. Man kan skrive til deres supportmail, men man får intet svar. Man kan rykke og rykke for svar, men der sker intet. Jeg kan ikke anbefale Livedrive til andre brugere

service client manque de proféssionnalisme

depuis le 24 novembre 2015 je ne pouvez plus sauvegarder mon pc
le mois décembre 2015 ,il m'on prélever 96 € sans mon autorisation

jusqu'au 09 janvier je leurs ai contacter afin de me régler de problème (aucune solution n'a été trouver) alors je leurs ai demander le remboursement de mes 96 € et la fermeture de mon compte pour le motif suivant : non respect du contrat
suite à cela il m'on répondu qu'il rembourseront pas mon prélèvement de 96 € , mais qu'il pouvait clôturer mon compte

conclusion

livedrive est à éviter ...... sauf qui peu.... !!!!!!!!

se permette à vous prendre l'argent sans reconnaître leur tort
et surtout il ne veule pas rembourser quant il son en faute

honte à eu , ce sont des escrocs

Worst of the worst!

Livedrive is a great concept, very poorly implemented. Lies abound in the advertising. Sharing files exposes files and folders that you did not fact share with a given user and when you report this you are told thast the behaviour is expected! You files are not stored encrypted on their servers. Uploads are very, very slow, expect to spend weeks uploading your files. The Mac client bearly works, and you are unable to delete files once uploaded, not even Livedrive support can delete them. The support is non-exisitant or takes weeks to respond. You get ads for other cloud storage providers in your web portal. Syncing is slow or non-existant. All in all too many security and use issues to list here. Best AVOID AT ALL COST!

Uholdbart

Livedrive kan ganske enkelt ikke levere en stabil og pålidelig backup-løsning. Jeg brugte meget energi på at sikre mig, at min backup var komplet, før jeg formatterede min computer, og nu har jeg brugt adskillige timer på at hente mine filer igen. En proces, der stadig er igang. For det første er download-hastigheden elendig, og for det andet er forbindelsen ustabil, hvilket gør at downloads jævnligt stopper i flere minutter eller slet ikke bliver hentet, så man er nødt til at hente dem igen separat. Det forlænger også processen markant.

Jeg vil helt bestemt ikke anbefale Livedrive til nogen som helst, medmindre man besidder et roligt væsen og en overnaturlig tålmodighed.

Ganske udemærket MEN

Er i gang med at undersøge forskellige clouding muligheder, og lige pt ved at teste livedrive.

umidelbart ganske godt, det koster hvad de lover med mere, men men men.

At se ens billeder på iphone og ipad, tager en evighed, jeg ved godt at mine billeder fylder meget pr. stk, men selv dropbox er over 14 gange hurtigere, og deres tid er knap acceptabel i mine øjne, derudover kan live drive ikke vise *nef filer "RAW fra Nikon kamera" det er som sådan okay, men du kan ikke flytte dem til iphone eller noget, når deres app ikke kan læse dem, hvilket er noget skidt....

Venter med længsel på en hurtig opdatering til iphone og ipad app'en...
