Been using them for years now, never a problem, not intrusive, and a good monthly price

I have been a user for many years and the service works well for backups, having said that it has been impossible to get someone on the phone to cancel my membership. As others reviews here mention, they have a specific telephone number for cancellations instead of allowing you to do it online. Then nobody pick ups the telephone and tell you to leave your details and they will call you back, never received a call. I am not sure what else can be done, now I feel like a prisoner. I can’t recommend, at least they should offer an online form for requesting cancellations.

The thing I love about Livedrive is that I don't have to think about it. I trust that the back-ups will happen and they do. No fuss, no buttons to press. I can access files from my phone (useful in emergencies when out and about) and never need to worry about losing data as it's always there.

I have used live drive for years and I like they have got better with technology. It’s like have your hard drive with you at all time with having the burden of carrying it. I like the iPhone app, it’s easy to use.

I have been trying for months to find out why my backup of 5+ Tb never completes. I doubt there is a major problem but it is irritating. Am about to send another ticket.

I have been using for at least 10 yrs, never had any issues and has saved my life a couple of times recovering lost data. Whilst an effective service, I will drop a star for generally clunky app confined to a small window making it difficult having to select and monitor configuration.

I have used Livedrive as a cloud based Backup pretty much since it came out.

One more than one occasion I have been on a business trip with my laptop and found that a file I needed was on my desktop back home. As both computers were backed up on Livedrive, it was the work of moments to download the file onto my laptop, using the Wifi in the hotel and hopefully the client never noticed!!

Occasionally a file is not backed up though uploads are shown as complete.
The uploads do catch up.

Worst support in the field. Slow, unprofessional and full of mistakes. Most ticket answers are either laughable or frustrating. Some are never answered, although in a ticket system. They must be very few in their support, swarmed in loads of assignments. Burning ship.

Jeg har været kunde hos LiveDrive siden 2014, og jeg var faktisk godt tilfreds, da jeg startede med dem. Deres Briefcase var præcist, hvad jeg havde brug for. Jeg bruger kun backuppen til mindre ting.

Jeg synkroniserer min briefcase mellem to maskiner: hjemme og arbejde.
For et par år siden begyndte jeg at opdage, at især regneark opførte sig underligt. De stod som opdaterede med fildato og størrelse på begge maskiner, men de egentlige ændringer, der var foretaget i regnearket var ikke synkroniseret til den anden maskine.
Samtidigt begyndte jeg på den ene maskine at få beskeden 'File is not fully uploaded yet' - selvom den på den anden maskine var fuldt synkroniseret og i en del tilfælde sat til kun at være i skyen og ikke lokalt.

Jeg har flere gange klaget og HVER gang får jeg en besked retur i stil med 'We are sorry for the inconvience, We are working hard at resolving it'. Og så skete der iøvrigt ikke mere.

I januar 2020 fik jeg så nok og lavede en fuld download af alt, jeg har liggende i briefcase, og det viste sig at ca. 8% af mine filer ikke kunne gendannes fra skyen.
Jeg rejste påny en sag og fik samme sang, og besked om at være tålmodig , fordi de lige skulle gennemgå alle deres servere for at finde filerne.
Frem til april holdt jeg dem så til ilden hver uge, men fik samme svar hver gang: 'Vi er glade for din tålmodighed, Vi leder stadig'.

D. 16. april besluttede jeg så at prøve at vente og se, om der skete noget på deres eget initiativ. Men totalt radio-dødt.
I går efter 2 måneders total tavshed, skrev jeg så igen, og fik sjovt nok samme svar igen: 'Vi er kede af det, men beder om lidt tålmodighed, mens vi gennemgår vores servere'.

Uanset hvilke servere man bruger, så kan det simpelthen ikke tage 5 måneder at lede af nogle ret specifikke filer. Jeg brugte ovenikøbet en lille uge på at lave lister til dem over de filer, der mangler.

Det korte af det lange: jeg har ikke længere tillid til dem overhovedet.
De lovede at passe på mine data, men har mistet dem.

Mange af mine filer stammer fra programmeringsprojekter, og når der bare mangler én enkelte fil med kildekode, ja, så er hele projektet ødelagt.

Når jeg køber sådan en ydelse er det for netop at sikre, at mine data ikke forsvinder. Dét kan LiveDrive slet ikke være garant for.

Recently my NAS needed rebuilding, and because I had an online backup - which by all accounts has been working almost flawlessly for the past couple of years - I figured I was safe to reformat and then download the backup. I knew it would take a while and have been restoring it incrementally. This is a backup of my Plex server, and all the files are in folders labelled "A", "B", "C" etc. I've been restoring each folder individually to manage the amount of downloading I need to do, but in each folder there is always one or two files that didn't restore. The latest folder had 4 files that couldn't be restored. When the files are backed up the software informs me that it's all backed up successfully, and yet when I restore them I get a report saying "file wasn't backed up successfully" etc. So now I'm left with a dilemma: do I carry on using a service that may or may not be backing up my files? Or do I look for another service. Reading reviews, a lot of other services have terrible support, whereas Livedrive's support team are amazing. To finish this should be a 5 star review but I've deducted one for the missing files.

I started out with Livedrive many years ago and along the way have tried several other cloud platforms but always come back to use my Livedrive for back up. I won't be going anywhere. Well done all

Works faultless in the background

I have no complaints except that sometimes certain files do not appear to have been uploaded. These can be audio files and photos. Apart from this, I have, as I say, no complaints at all.

Good, reliable, cheap service, but sftp access not completely reliable.

This probably won't concern the majority of users.

Live drive is great for automatically backing up everything on your computer - documents, photos and videos. I have found that it works seamlessly in the backgound and if I ever need to retrieve a file I can do it via the desktop or mobile App.

I love a program that does what it says it does. It's always there and does just what it sets out to do. No bells or whistles or unnecessary rubbish. Solid.
