I ordered a Canon 80d from Harrison Cameras and it arrived the next day and the packaging was superb.
The camera was in excellent condition, even better than described in the listing and came complete with original instructions, camera strap, original charger and original battery.
I am very pleased with the price, service and product I received from Harrison Cameras and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

The Good:
Prompt Customer Service: Both Kerry and Joanne were quick to respond. They seemed to empathize with my predicament, even though they couldn't offer a direct solution.

The Bad:
Payment Glitches: My first payment was inexplicably flagged, even though my bank confirmed that everything was fine. This led to a refund, locking my funds for 1-2 days.
PayPal: I was advised to use PayPal for my second payment. However, PayPal held the payment, adding another layer of delays and frustrations. I felt trapped in a catch-22: Harrison Cameras wouldn't ship without payment confirmation, and PayPal wouldn't confirm payment without shipping details.
Lost Time: I had a time-sensitive need for the lens, which was completely disregarded by the convoluted payment systems in place.

The Ugly:
Stress Levels: This has been one of the most stressful online shopping experiences I've ever had. I needed the lens for a specific date, and the system's rigidity created unnecessary anxiety.

Suggestions:
1. Clear Communication: If you have a strict verification process due to past fraud issues, make this abundantly clear to the customer before they commit to a purchase.
2. Payment Alternatives: Offer more immediate solutions for payment issues rather than defaulting to "it's the system's fault."
3. Flexibility: Understand that sometimes customers are working within tight timelines.

In summary, while I appreciate the challenges Harrison Cameras faces in combating fraud, the customer experience should not be sacrificed on the altar of bureaucratic rigidity. I was left feeling like an afterthought, caught in the crossfire between various payment systems and company policies. Would I shop here again? Honestly, I'd think twice.

Ordered 14/9 delivered 15/9, faultless service. Used Canon 700d in excellent condition for a very fair price. Will use HC again, and highly recommend them.

Good communication and quick dispatch. Only reason for three stars is the second hand lens came loose in its box. This was the manufacturer box so not entirely their fault, but the lense was loose and banging around with the lense cover having come off. Luckily no damage was done so ultimately I am happy but maybe a bit of bubble wrap in the box might of been an idea.

I have used Harrison Cameras numerous times and the service has always been faultess however on the last occasion I had a grievance over the price on a used lens post delivery. For me the measure of an excellent company is how these situations are dealt with and Harrison Cameras came out with top marks ! So much so I’ve just placed another order with them.

Over the last 1-2 years, I've bought a couple of used cameras and some other items from Harrison. They're always prompt and professional with communication and stand by their used gear warranties without any fuss. They're also one of the few UK retailers whose used grading I trust.

I didn't realise they opened at 10am and turned up at about 0930. One of the staff was outside and after speaking with him, they sorted me out. very nice of them to do this and very good service. Traded in an old camera and left with a new lens for my new camera. Thanks for sorting me out beofre the store was officially open guys.

I'm not a great fan of buying used products but found the purchase of my Lumix DCM-LX100 a real good buy from these guys. I've been in camera shops before where if you ask a question they look at you as those you're stupid. The staff in Harrison's from the minute I walked in the shop were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to help and made me feel at ease asking them questions. You can tell by listening to them talk to each other about cameras they know their stuff. I will be definitely purchasing and using their services again.

Never used Harrison Cameras before, until they had a lens in stock that I'd been looking for, used (Sony 20mm f1.8 G). The price was the best I'd seen for the condition, so I went through the trade-in process for my Zeiss Batis 18mm f2.8 on-line, and just followed simple directions. Couldn't have been easier...local drop-off, instant confirmation on arrival, and once the difference had been paid the 20mm was sent out immediately. Excellent service and the lens was in even better condition than expected. I'll be back.

I recently sold some unwanted camera equipment to Harrison's by email and post. The whole experience was a pleasure, very wimple and professional. First they quoted me £50 more than another company. They then arranged collection by DPD from my home next day - I just had to package them safely. Next afternoon they wrote to me saying everything was fine and the quote stood. I accepted the quote and the bank transfer was actioned. 2 days later the money was in my account. They emailed me at every stage

have spent many £1000s at Harrisons over the years in their used section, never had and issue, great prices and thoroughly and accurately described and checked items. highly recommend and will continue buying from them in the future. 10/10 from me.

The knowledge of the staff is brilliant and I have bought used cameras and lens from the. Jonathan in was very knowledgeable and as a beginner his advice was invaluable. It was well worth the 200 mile round trip which I have now done on several occasion and will do this again as I increase my photographic knowledge and equipment.
