False representation of stock levels & failure to refund as per commitments made by CameraWorld Customer Services

Original order was placed based on website stock levels indicating items were all in stock - however, after the order was placed Camera World advised that one item was outstanding and could be up to a further 3 weeks before arriving. (This was despite their website still indicating it was in stock at their time of writing).

The in stock items of the order were delivered and thereafter, a further item was returned. Upon receipt of the return, CameraWorld advised the refund would be processed by close of business the following day. It is now 4 days on and CameraWorld are not replying to any requests for an update and the refund remains outstanding.

This seller is not to be trusted - stock levels are a misrepresentation of the reality and commitments to refund are not met with action as per their advice.

A quality of service rarely found these days!

Ordered an out of stock sale item online and they called me a day or so later to tell me my order was in and when it would be delivered - unheard of level of service these days. My item arrived as they said and was well packed and in pristine condition. Excellent service.

Next day delivery or next month delivery? Poor service guys.

I’m going to be very honest with my review of camera world and I hope it helps others. Found a camera that came with 2 Kodak batteries and a kodak memory card for my granddaughters birthday. I rang the shop for some advice and to check availability etc. on speaking to the person at the shop he said this would be ideal for her and they could have it to me next day. About 2 hours After I placed my order of a yellow camara as we had order a matching yellow Kodak printer elsewhere I had a phone call to tell me they didn’t have it in stock so would I except an orange one instead. After explaining it was to match the mini printer I ordered he said ok I will get you a yellow one but it will be a week or so. After a few days I received an email saying we don’t have a yellow camera in stock are you ok to have an orange one(oh dear) I rang the person who sent me the email to explain again about the colour to be told again they would get me a yellow one. Few more days went by then another email saying they were struggling getting a yellow one due to the war in the Middle East would an orange one be ok (omg) another call to them I managed to organise them sending me a yellow camera but the battery’s and memory card would be another make not Kodak. To get it sorted I told them to send them thinking that would be the end of it. Few days later it all arrived(yippee….. or maybe not) all looked good until a few days later I went to charge the spurious spare battery they sent me to find(wait for it) yes you guessed it the wrong battery. By now the kids birthday was nearly upon us and the order was still not complete. I rang the company again. Yet another apology but by this time I was fed up and asked what they would do and they said if I sent the offending battery back they would send a replacement on receipt of wrong one I explained that it was getting close to my granddaughters birthday so could they send it out same day to be told without receiving the other back they wouldn’t send the right one out. Ok sent the other back and got a message to say they had it back from DPD but still hadn’t sent the new one a day later. Here we go with yet another phone call to be told they would order the battery and leet me know when it would be sent so they didn’t even order the battery knowing the other was coming back. Anyway the original order was made on the 19th of march and finally on the 16th of April the order has finally got here. After many phone calls and nearly a full month of waiting I got the full order that was promised next day delivery! Not good at all I’m sure that they will be replying with yet another apology but hey after a month an apology I think is wasted. To summarise when I order camera equipment for my self I won’t be ordering from here again.

Didn’t come next day

I still haven’t received my camera, although I’m hoping everything will be fine when it does arrive. I ordered yesterday morning at around 10:20am and paid for next day delivery, so this was within the 3pm cutoff time.

I haven’t received a dispatch email, so I called and was told the item had left the warehouse and should still be delivered today. However, when i asked for a tracking number this couldn’t be provided, and I haven’t received any email from DPD to suggest they’ve received or are expecting the parcel. I was told I would get a call back after they contacted the warehouse, but I haven’t heard anything further.

The item was listed as in stock for same day dispatch, so I’m unsure why this hasn’t happened. So far I’ve only received an order confirmation and invoice at 10:26am, followed by a customer receipt email at 3:29pm yesterday.

I’m giving 3 stars as it’s not the end of the world, but when paying for next day delivery I would expect the item to be dispatched and delivered within the said timeframe. Unfortunately this has meant changing plans to accommodate a later delivery date.

Unreliable Service and Huge Professional Loss

I ordered a Spider Camera Holster from CameraWorld because they promised next day delivery. As a professional, I needed this equipment for a shoot on Sunday. They did not deliver the item and they never sent any update about the delay.

Because my money was tied up in this order, I had to buy a cheap alternative from Amazon at the last minute. That low quality product broke during my shoot. My camera and lens fell to the ground and now I have around 5,000 pounds of damage. My lens is broken and my camera is not working.

When I contacted customer service, they just gave a standard apology and offered a refund. They completely ignored the massive professional damage they caused by breaking their delivery promise. If you are a professional with a deadline, do not trust this company. They are not reliable.
