Good experience, seller (Was) knew all about the sofa and further guidance from seller Sam, we purchased the sofa following great service and guidance offered.

Just purchased a new gliding sofa. The service from David was excellent. He explained all of the features in an easy to understand way and explained the things that were easy to miss. Purchase process was easy

I spoke to a lovely friendly lady called Cam today, who was very helpful with my query. I placed my order over the phone & everything was dealt with promptly & efficiently. Now looking forward to my new dining chairs arriving. Great customer Service 😊 Thank you

Waseem was very helpful, my parents were looking for something more specific (lumbar support). Showed us around the store, and provided very descriptive detail to help them make their decision. Very easy to speak to and approachable, would recommend visiting him if you’re needing a new sofa.

1 Star – Terrible Customer Service, Faulty Furniture and a Completely Disappointing Experience

I am extremely disappointed with Furniture Village, both with the quality of my wardrobe and the appalling way my complaint has been handled.

I received my wardrobe on 28 May, and by 26 June, I had already experienced a problem with it, less than a month after delivery. I subsequently experienced another problem approximately 20 days ago. These issues raise serious concerns about the quality of the wardrobe and a possible manufacturing defect.

The most frustrating part of this experience has been the complete lack of accountability and the constant passing of responsibility between Furniture Village's customer service team and its insurance provider, Castelan.

Whenever I contact customer service, I am directed towards the insurance company. However, when I contact Castelan, they reject my claim and explain that faults noticed during the manufacturer’s or retailer’s guarantee period are not covered by the policy and should be reported directly to the retailer.

So who is actually going to take responsibility for a problem with furniture purchased from Furniture Village?

I bought this wardrobe specifically to hang my clothes. Unfortunately, I cannot use it for its intended purpose at all because I cannot hang my clothes in it. I have paid for a wardrobe that I cannot even use for the very reason I purchased it. It is now effectively a useless piece of furniture taking up space in my home.

A problem appearing less than a month after delivery is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about a possible manufacturing defect. Instead of taking responsibility and resolving the problem, Furniture Village's customer service team keeps directing me to the insurance company, while Castelan tells me to go back to the retailer.

What makes this situation even more unacceptable is the considerable amount of time, energy and stress I have had to spend chasing this issue. I have repeatedly contacted customer service, followed up on my complaint and dealt with the insurance company, only to be passed from one party to another without a proper resolution. This has been an exhausting and completely unnecessary burden. Customers should not have to fight this hard to resolve a problem with furniture they have only recently purchased.

The insurance situation is equally frustrating. If the policy excludes faults noticed during the guarantee period, customers deserve a clear explanation of what they are actually paying for. Being passed between the retailer and the insurance company without a resolution is simply unacceptable.

I would absolutely NOT recommend Furniture Village. My experience has been extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise other customers to think carefully before purchasing from this company, particularly if they expect reliable after-sales support when something goes wrong.

The real test of a retailer is how it treats its customers when problems arise. Furniture Village has seriously let me down, and I expect the company to stop passing me from one department to another, take responsibility for this complaint and provide a satisfactory resolution.

It was a pleasure to visit This shop at White City (Old Trafford).The staff were polite extremely helpful.We met Affy who helped us pick a suite at the right price. He was so helpful &chatty we even got Coffee & Hot Chocolate. He explained everything we need to know.Thank you.

Once again another great experience with one of the shop floor staff at furniture village Shan the Asian guy was great doing what he does helping us out today on the 11th October 2026 would 100% recommend this store at White City.

David was very helpful and friendly throughout the process. Helped with selection and the finance when required. Found the products we wanted.
