Very poor sevice
I recently spent 2 thousand pounds o. A mattress from furniture barn. Upon receipt of the mattress we found that it was hard and horrible and frankly not what we paid for so much so that we went back to the showroom to check the one we had previously tried. Both myself and my wife have pre existing medical issues that had lead us to by an expensive, good quality and SOFT mattress. However what we received is awful. We have been given a list of crap excuses from furniture barn. We need to break this mattress in etc which are all nonsense frankly and are stuck with a very expensive piece of of junk. I'm very disappointed with furniture barn and hypnos(the manufacturer) and am currently sleeping on the sofa. I certainly will never use either again or recommend them to anyone else.

Thanks for your feedback.
We are sorry you feel this way about your order. With any new mattress you are going to feel some firmness compared to the showroom model as the showroom model will have been used and tested every day since we have received it for display.
Overtime your mattress will become softer with use, as with any brand new mattress bought.
I apologise that we are unable to resolve this for you but you have received exactly what has been ordered.

My fourth purchase from furniture barn…
My fourth purchase from furniture barn . My house is now fully furnished by them . I have never had to send anything back it all arrived in excellent condition . The delivery times are spot on and the lads are very helpful . I wouldn’t consider purchasing from any other company . Thanks again

Great customer service
The customer service we received was second to none. All the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy, they were there to answer any questions we had but left us alone whilst we were making our decision about our purchase. At no point did we feel under pressure to buy. We would definitely shop here again.

DO NOT SHOP HERE.. don’t waste your hard earned money!
My experience with Furniture Barn has been nothing but appalling. I placed an order in December 2017 totalling roughly £2800. The delivery was meant to be in March 2018. I received my order in June 2018. The original date was set for early June. However, it was rearranged because the company had rang and said they were unable to deliver to having a stock take. I have no idea why their stock take is my problem? I agreed that they could deliver the following Monday (18th June). Before, this delivery they had informed me that the bed I had purchased had failed quality control and that it would be ready for Tuesday 19th. I thought I would bwas helpful so I told the company that I would save them a journey and take the whole delivery on Tuesday 19th. Yet, again I was disappointed when my bed did not arrive. They rang and gave me an estimated date of the 25th. The bed eventually got delivered on 21/6/18.. but only due to a complaint I had made with the appalling service. When my order had come I found that the bed side tables, bed and wardrobe were all tarnished.Furthermore, I bought from two ranges: Farnborough (grey) and Salisbury (pine). Well, the gentleman had placed the Farnborough wardrobe with the Salisbury bed?Why would someone not think that wardrobes and beds from the same ranges would go in the same room? Customer services have phoned to inform me that a technician would be required to come out to me to see if they could rectify this issue. When I asked for the items to refunded.. she said I would be succumbed to a 35% charge. My advice is DO NOT SHOP HERE.. you will be far better off with great customer service from John Lewis!

I sincerely apologise for the inconveniences regarding the delivery of your goods. We do sometimes experience delays for various reasons but do our best to stick within the lead times stated.
Upon investigation and receipt of the photos of your goods,we can see that they are in fact not tarnished. The marks on the wood are natural due to the nature of the product and are not actual faults.
As a gesture of good will we have offered for a technician to visit you to see if anything can be done to your satisfaction. In addition to this, we have offered to replace the goods that you are not happy with.
Of course, as per our terms and conditions, we cannot cancel an order that isn't proven to be faulty without a cancellation fee.
Once more, please accept our most sincere apologies for any inconvenience.
We look forward to hearing from you in regards to how you wish to proceed.

we had an excellent service from doncaster we bought a kitchen table and chairs the chairs did not suit tony gave us the customer service number we had them a week and they changed them for us at no extra charge we was asked to bring the chairs to the shop and they changed them for us and the young staff in the shop couldn't be more helpful thanks to all involved

After reading some of the reviews about Furniture Barn I was iinitially dubious about ordering from them. However I ordered a sideboard from the Grantham branch, spoke to Sharon on the sales team who I have to say was very friendly and helpful. Was told my order could be expected in three weeks and that is how long it took. Delivery men who were very polite contacted me with a 2 hour time slot and it was delivered in the said time. Very pleased with my new sideboard and definately have no worries about ordering from Furniture Barn again.

I bought a matching 3 seater settee, chair and covered Ottoman in a sale. They are fabulous looking and good quality. But most importantly comfortable and a bargain price.

What a shame
Having been loyal customers we returned to Furniture barn in search of a new dining room table. We found one that met our needs and couldn’t wait for it to arrive. Firstly, on arrival it was delivered in parts despite being told when we bought it would be assembled for us, it was then left in bits on my kitchen floor. It was left to my husband and I to lift this great big table. The table was delivered upside down, very clever of the delivery men because we didn’t discover straight away the huge scratch on the table until we turned it over (and the men had left) My husband has emailed and complained, we are yet to receive a response. I feel so let down.

Excellent service - good communication when and what time they are delivering. In fact over the years had many deliveries from other firms but this company ate the tops. Pleasant men delivered and offered to unpack my purchase. Certainly recommend to everyone to use this company.
