Quick delivery, good quality shed, good value for money. A small part was missing but sent on next day

The only downside of the whole experience was literally being asked for a tip by the delivery driver who was 2 hours late (and having been advised that it would be delivered at 06:30, I wasn't best pleased).

Great service. Delivered very quickly. Great quality and value for money. Dealt with a couple of queries quickly and efficiently - very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

I brought an empire 4000 pent shed 9ftx4ft. So yes it was £500 including delivery and for that money the chipboard floor and roof are adequate but could also be better if a little thicker. Before assembly I put a concrete foundation down and painted with 10 litres of creosote. It’s a good shed for the money but these sheds only last if you put them on a solid flat foundation and use a proper wood preserver. I am a happy customer and might get another much smaller one next year.

Like others I find the negative reviews surprising. My experience is that the ordering process was efficient (Thanks Andy) and the delivery guy extremely helpful. The shed is as well made as any I have seen in DIY stores but Empire offer a much wider range of sizes and door options. I paid to have it assembled and the end result is first class. The guys assembling it found no problems and were happy that the roofing felt provided was fit for purpose. I am happy to recommend Empire Sheds.

This was my first purchase from Empire Sheds, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by (a) the price, and (b) the excellent and helpful delivery service.
The shed (an 8' x 5' pent) arrived on time at 11 a.m. and by 3 p.m. I (single handedly) had it assembled and ready to use; it came with all the necessary fastenings and simple instructions. Everything fitted as it should. Although the panels were treated, I gave the outer surfaces and floor bearers a further coat of preservative.
Observations? The floor bearers, although adequate to support the OSB floor, might benefit from being a little larger, and I would always give them an extra soaking in preservative to make sure that they have a long life.
The roof was a little disappointing as (a) there is very little overhang at the shed ends to keep rainwater well clear of the shed walls, and (b) the suggested way of securing the felt to the ends of the roof is by nailing directly into the edge of the thin OSB (unlike the front and rear edges where the felt is secured to battens). There really should be battens all round, and I'll fit something in due course.
There have been comments elsewhere about the type of roof felt supplied. Yes, it is lightweight and is prone to tear on corners if you're not very careful. Much easier to install on a warm day when it's nice and pliable, and it's best to smooth off the corners and edges of the OSB roof panels to reduce the risk of the felt being penetrated.
Overall I thought that the shed was very good value and it will suit my needs (cycles and garden implements) perfectly. Thank you!

Bought a large Empire 14 x 8 Pent shed recently and couldn’t be happier. Delivered promptly after purchase as promised and, despite feeling initially tentative, constructed with ease.
I’d already laid a concrete base to the specified dimensions. The instructions seemed frugal, but, in fact, were excellent - with a phone Helpline too if any uncertainties (I had one query only and the support on the phone was immediate and top notch). I needed a friend for just a couple of hours to help me create and stabilize the shell (sides and roof) and I did the rest myself.
It looks really good, feels weighty and solid - and my other half is thrilled too.
My grandkids are already planning sleepovers in the summer!

The shed seems solid BUT the instructions were dire.... the corners at the front don't overlap with the side panels - they fit AT the corner (edge to edge) even though the whole thing fits the base so we haven't got something wrong. It means very little wood to drive the screws through from the inside as instructed. We resorted to nailing from the outside with some long nails we had. The worst bit however is the ROOFING FELT - terrible. It just tears as you try to handle it. There is no way anyone could fold the corners as suggested. We've patched it underneath. We are therefore unconvinced the shed will be waterproof and so we will go and buy some sealant and better quality felt to go over this cheap thin stuff. Why spoil it for the saving of a few ££££s?

I was frustrated by the brittle roofing felt , I rang Empire Sheds and was informed that felt 'has been used for over 15 years and we've never had a complaint' - well, thats not true! Even if they hadn't, (again not true) my genuine concern and likely your concern will be dismissed. The roofing felt provided is known as paper felt, basically it is wood cellulose (aka paper) dipped in bitumen. It doesn't fold, but it does crease and crack and let water in. I rang and asked if Empire Sheds offer a roof felt that is fit for purpose, see quote, clearly not. Their solution? Instead of making a tiny percentage contribution to enable me to purchase proper fit-for-purpose roofing felt, at a cost of £27 to Empire Sheds, less than 5% of order value, they offered to collect and refund the entire £584 order! Some might see that as great customer service, others might see that as a ridiculous waste of time and resources. Be mindful, nearly 50% of every sale has generated a poor review here on Trustpilot. Perhaps shop elsewhere?

Ordered and took delivery of one of their modular sheds. Managed to build it in a morning. All went together perfectly and the finish was excellent, t&g roof and door was a bonus, it also cost far less than others on the market.
Definitely worth it.

In fairness to Empire, most of our problems were mixed messages from Wayfair and Empire. The delivery was awful; we didn't know the shed was arriving so it was just thrown in the front garden. There were a couple of missing pieces, and that was where the communication breakdown occurred. Wayfair told us 2 weeks for the parts, so we had it refunded and made ready for collection. Mike from Empire sheds phoned, and the delivery would actually have been just 3 days; too late, which is a shame as the shed looked good, and easy to assemble. The collection driver was (again) unconfirmed by phone, but was very affable and professional. If Empire can sort out their delivery driver, and get Wayfair to communicate more clearly, I'd recommend them.

Bought shed not fit for purpose leaked, split, wood separated. Costumer care was 0 not willing to do anything about it.will never buy anything from this company again.

wouldn't recommend these scam artists after recently purchasing a 10x8 wooden shed (which is actually 10x 7 foot and 3 quarters not 8 foot) nothing is square or fitting the way it should, the osb flooring must be half an inch thick same as the osb on the roof which also isnt square, never in my life have I seen such soft wood throughout a shed before, and the double doors, I've had to cut to size because some idiot cut the panel the wrong size, I guess this company employs the blind to build they're sheds, do you even make sure everything lines up once the panels have been built? my mother who purchased said shed will be contacting PayPal in order to get what we paid for this rubbish back and if we have to take it to court then we shall because no way is this shed worth what they're stating, utterly disgusting 😡

Having read some reviews we were a bit nervous on ordering our shed. Well, it arrived yesterday, on time and our experience was a good one. The customer service department was very helpful before we placed our order, and now that it has been erected, the shed is actually a better quality then we expected. The shed was also at a much more competitive price than alternatives we considered.

Great shed, great value. Had a phone call en route to give me time of arrival. Delivery driver and mate looked like laurel and Hardy, very polite and helpful mind. I had 14 x 8 the driver said u ain't putting it up on ur own are u. Driver slipped on tailgate landed on ass and chewing gum flew out of mouth. Cheers

Poor quality product, too flimsy and poorly constructed - nails sticking out where they missed the battens, some battens split by the factory fixings, door didn't fit the opening, front panel cladding had to be partially dismantled (not easy) and remade as was clear air gap where one length of cladding hadn't been properly seated (tongue and groove), multiple large knot holes required filling with wood filler to stop insect/rain entry, hinges first supplied had first screw hole located too close to the hinge so that there was no batten for the screw to fit into and it interfered with the door jamb, roof felt supplied had a hole in it and finally despite careful positioning of the floor support battens as per the instructions the floor flexes a little. Took ages to put up due to all the trouble shooting, I just hope it will last. With hindsight I should have sent it back but I'd already dismantled the old shed. The only saving grace was that the guy in customer service was understanding and very helpful sending out replacement felt, hinges and a new door.
You've been warned, buy at your peril.

Great experience with empire sheds. Purchased a 14x8 twin door shed from wayfair as the cheapest option avaliable as the cost of timber has gone through the roof. It came on time, one item way damaged in transit and whilst building it noticed one floor section was missing. But on both items they delivered as soon as they could. Great customer service and for the money a great shed. Would use again.

Shed delivered on date provided. Built the shed today and over the moon with it. Brought a 12ft x 5 ft shed with double doors and as a semi professional carpenter I cannot fault the build or quality of the shed. Nothing missing and clear instructions. A+++ and would highly recommend.
