Sounds like a good company on paper until you realise they’re merely a platform to provide liquidity to insider equity holders. It’s not designed to be a good experience for retail investors.

I’ve made 4 investments over the span of 5 months and have yet to even receive an ownership statement for any. No customer service response so don’t bother with the form.

What happened with Tilt? They raised over £1m but the “funding target” wasn’t reached? Again, another case of just aiming to provide liquidity for insiders.

Interesting businesses and easy to find information.

It’s a great feature that it calculates the options for how many units it is for how much you want to invest.

Les levées proposées sont intéressantes, avec des sociétés qui ont déjà un marché et veulent accélérer. Des informations disponibles (mais il faut aussi faire ses propres recherches à côté). Il serait bon de convertir les montants de monnaies étrangères (£ > €) dans les affichages.

Extremely disappointed with Crowdcube’s handling of the Mistral AI investment

I invested in Mistral AI through Crowdcube on 2 April, believing that Crowdcube had secured the shares before publicly offering the investment opportunity to investors.

Today, 14 August, more than four months later, Crowdcube cancelled the investment and told me that the seller had withdrawn from the deal.

What makes this even more frustrating is that Mistral AI has since completed another funding round at a significantly higher valuation. While Mistral AI has continued to grow and attract investment at a higher valuation, Crowdcube investors are simply being told that the original opportunity is cancelled.

This raises a very serious question: if the shares had not been secured, why was Crowdcube offering the investment to investors in the first place?

I understand that circumstances can change, but cancelling an investment after more than four months because the seller withdrew is extremely disappointing. Investors committed their money based on the opportunity presented by Crowdcube.

The delay is particularly frustrating because investors have lost the opportunity to participate in other investment.

This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in Crowdcube’s due diligence and execution of private-market investment opportunities.

Very disappointing. I expected much better from Crowdcube.

Used to be great but have lost complete trust in them after they cancelled my investment in Mistral 4 months later. Unbelievable to me that they would not properly secure the investment with their seller before raising funds. They’ve basically made a lot of interest on €2M+ raised from investors but obviously are not offering any of that back as compensation. Customer service is of course unresponsive
