Worst online experience EVER !!!!!

Worst online experience EVER !!!!!

So for Christmas I wanted to give a Dishwasher to my mother in-law I was shopping around and I found that Costco had the earliest shipping date So I went to the store directly to make no mistake.
The salesman who assist us is telling me you can choose your delivery date So SCHEDULED delivery date is set on Dec 24th ( they will call you on the 23rd the confirm delivery time on the 24th)
Never got any calls on the 23rd so I called costco.ca
The tell me that the SCHEDULED date i see on my app is an approximate date not the real one and that they have no clue when my Christmas gift will arrive they even wanted to give me the phone number of Bosch with their order number for me to call myself and see if they could help me. Completely useless I bought from other store and let me tell you if you pick a delivery date you get your stuff on that date.
Now I received an email saying my stuff was shipped and to pick another date January 7th and on the apps says approximate delivery date STILL NOT CERTAIN !!!!

this will teach me to deal with COSTCO
thank you you ruin my Christmas gift !!

Is communication an obsolete word?

I purchased an item during the most recent Black Friday sale (Nov 29), acknowledging that the item was on back order, with an expected ship date of Dec 3rd. On Dec 2nd, I received a Delay notification, with a new ship date of Dec 5 - 9th. That was the last unsolicited information provided by Costco until I cancelled my order on Dec 23rd. On Dec 10th, I sent an email requesting an update since my order status now appeared merely as "Received". I received a response on Dec 11th stating that the item was further delayed but should ship during the week of Dec 12th. No delivery received. I called customer service on Dec 16th to get an update and was told that the week of the 12th was not the calendar week, merely the business week. But the rep would not provide a conversion to help me track the ongoing delay. He did, instead, say that according to the notes, it should have shipped on Dec 13th. Obviously, it did not. He suggested that he could escalate the matter to the resolution team who would investigate it in more detail, and call me with further information within 2 - 3 days. No call was received. I called again on Dec 19th for an update and was told that the team would call me on the 20th. I was not available on the 20th and asked for an update on the 19th. I was assured that I would receive a call by the end of day. As other readers might expect, there was no call on the 19th, 20th, 21st or 22nd. I reached out again on Dec 22nd asking for a verbal update on Dec 23rd. At this point, it wasn't only the delay that was aggravating, it was the total disrespect shown by Costco to a customer. I might not be a high-volume customer or a business customer, but it should not be unreasonable to expect that Costco communicate delays. It should not fall to the consumer to pull the information out of Customer service representatives when a simple status update should be available online. On Dec 23rd, I received a call back and was told that the current status of the product was unknown, and it could be mid-January before more information is available. The utter lack of respectful communication is appalling. I cancelled my order and I am reconsidering my membership when it comes up for renewal in January.

I ordered a split king bed it was suppose to be delivered on dec18 .well dec 18th came and went and no bed could not evensee whn it was gonna be delivered, finally got confirmation its being delinered now onnn the 23rd in the mean time iam sleeping on the floor not empressed

Incompétents

Le 14 novembre 2024, je suis allée faire changer mes pneus ( d'hivers) au Costco, boul des Sciences à Montréal. Ils ont brisé un deuxième "stud" le premier, ils l'avait brisé lors de mon changement de pneus d'été. Ils me disent qu'ils ne peuvent pas sortir ma voiture du centre de pneu. Je dois appelé une remorqueuse et l'emmener à un garage. Je ne peux pas rouler avec 2 studs de briser. Après avoir parler avec un gérant, ils ont mis ma voiture dans le stationnement et maintenant débrouille toi. Ils brisent mais ne sont pas responsable. Vous pouvez imaginer le stress. Cela fais plus d'un mois que j'essaie de porter une plainte, ils me répondent toujours que quelqu'un va m'appeler, j'attends encore.
Donc, c'est certain que je n'irai jamais plus à cet endroit.

Stop counting cash boxes when it's super busy.

I went to costco, waited in line for over 15 mins. Then when it was my turn to be put through they decided to have the teller write down a bunch of receipts and count his entire cash box. It was so busy. After 5+ mins of this craziness at such a busy time I just walked out. Find a better way or better time to do this and stop wasting peoples time. From now on if they hold up the line I will just leave, groceries and all. If you do this you should give everyone in that line a store credit or a free meal at the food court.

Ordered an item online on Dec 2nd

Ordered an item online on Dec 2nd, estimated delivery was Dec 6th. I when I track it says delayed. It is now 5 business days later and still no parcel. UPS service is terrible. I ordered a few items from Amazon on the same day and received that package on Dec 7th. Now I understand we’ve had some bad weather but Ilive next to the trans Canada highway and see trucks driving by all day and night.
NOT IMPRESSED WITH COSTCO SERVICE or UPS. Will never order online from Costco again.

I have recent experience from online…

I have recent experience from online buy from Costco with freeze I paid full amount they mentioned the delivery guy pick up old freeze remove install new freeze but when they did not remove my old freeze they say your freeze is bigger so not possible to move out you know my old freeze dimension is smaller than new freeze . Delivery guy are lying. You know they did not remove my freeze and they are going even no books inside the freeze .
No good service for Costco
When I talk to him they say you call Costco they help Uou when I call Costco they say they call you within two days until unless I go na wait
This all Costco guys are only sell product they did not give you any responsibility to tale car so guys buy any item before check all matter for delivery this guys not help you out
They just sell product
I have very bad experience happen this time

you don't get what you are paying for anymore

we went to Costco today and could not get what we wanted because the cost did not match the quality.
eg......1. stuffed peppers are now more rice then
meat and at least $5 more
2. tilapia fish is now $31, whereas 2 years ago
they were $21 and the pieces were at least
1/3 bigger
3. Caesar salad $3 or $4 more for 1/2 the
amount, disguised with the new packaging
4. strawberry cheesecake in 2022 was
$17.99 for 1.74 kg now it is $23.99 for a 2/3
the size
it is a never ending increases in price and a decrease in quality... the carbon tax only goes so far for the increases buuuut Costco (not just) is going to far

Contact us Customer Service is a JOKE

I placed a LARGE ~$1000 order online with several items for work and when it came time to reconcile my Pcard, their website would not work. On top of which, the receipt had not sent properly - it only showed a fraction of the items ordered. Reached out to customer service via their contact us and they were dismissive and kind of rude. I was sent the exact same email that I already received with only part of my order, which did not show total or tax. I told them that and they told me to go into the store. After several emails back and forth and no one taking me seriously, I did become short with them and mentioned it defeated the purpose of placing an online order and then having to go into the store to retrieve a receipt. I was met with crickets. They just straight up stopped responding. Luckily, I had someone I could bother that worked at store level locally and they could pull some strings. They poked their office team at the Kanata location and they had a ton of paperwork to do (I was provided with about 20 pieces of paper). No wonder the customer service staff didn't want to do it - they were being extremely lazy. This has tainted my idea of Costco as a company and their customer service is a joke. I will rethink ALL Costco orders going forwards. We are a multimillion dollar company and would have been placing regular large orders but not with that kind of customer service - no thanks!

I am so disappointed with the Kingston…

I am so disappointed with the Kingston location. They used to carry Ice sparkling water and stopped. I contacted customer service and they told me that all the other warehouses around do carry them. I believe the closest one is Ottawa which is 2 hours away from Kingston. Now, I have the option of ordering online but have to pay a surcharge charge. If my warehouse which is far from the closest one is not carrying it why should I pay the surcharge charge when it is out of my control. That is not right and not fair to a member who has been with you for 20 years. I find that the customer service centre just treats us like a number and we do not matter as members. ......very disappointed We already pay a membership fee...why are we paying for delivery fee...this is not right! Also they constantly stop carrying good products that sell well!!!!!!!!

gloves

Hi, I'm writing this review regarding the gloves Costco carry. The brand is Medsup Nitrile Gloves. very good quality but why don't carry smaller sizes like extra small just more options for people with smaller hands. there's always extra large but never extra small in store. it would be great if Costco can consider the idea of bring in more selection of sizes. Thank you

Horrible!!!!

Horrible!!!!

My delivery was lost, spent hours trying to track it it down only to find it was lost and then sold out of an item I needed for work.
Eventually had to call Costco because UPS lost the package. The Customer service agent was passive aggressive and offered me $10, however short changed my refund the exact $10 amount. Spent more time getting that sorted. This whole ordeal cost way too much of my time and then to have a Costco representative behave like a child and when I called about this, they did nothing. I will never shop at Costco again and will be returning my last order of nearly $1000.

I went into buy Pork Rinds keto and whipping cream at the Costco Business Center and they did not carry either.I know that Costco used to . I was not impressed. It is out of our way to go into shop for somethings that were always available and now they are not.

My order was cancelled with a general…

My order was cancelled with a general reference to a few reasons why. None of the reason seem to apply. I followed their unfriendly contact information to question why. It is a week later and I have not received a reply. Their in store service has always been excellent. The online app and service is poor.

FRAUD alert?

40 years ago as a business student, I learned about "change". To change the habits of an employee or customer, you need to sustain your instructions/policy for 2 straight weeks; without interruption, in order to get the vast majority to accept.
That still holds true today. Costco does it quite well with their entire business.

Costco implements change consistently. All major employers and retailers do. From removing items from the shelf (chicken wings left the deli/meat area for a time this year) or menu (chicken wings removed from the cafeteria area, to installing self-checkouts (I'm sure complaints are still happening, but the majority of people have accepted them... complaints are decreasing), to swiping your membership card to get in. All change to make higher overall net or margin. Now I fight back.

I'm retired and making a lunch for a child. Kirkland granola bars. I don't pay attention. The price slowly creeps up or the # in a package goes down but today I found that I was the victim of "shrinkflation".

The granola bars are about 24 grams. Unbelievable. To be honest, I don't know what the grams were before, but Costco puts the $/100 grams up, so that's basically what people use to decide if inflation has hit the product. If you shrink that product in order to keep the "trigger" meant to entice your customer, you are bordering on fraud. So I fight back.

I'm not leaving Costco (my purchases pay for the membership).

I leave you with this. The wholesalers of name brand granola bars (or other products) should take note. As a result of Costco's "change" policy, people are moving to "make their own" (or eliminate the product from their home). You may want to renegotiate your terms.

And... I'm not buying a single kirkland granola bar again. I'll make my own and found great recipes. I win the fight.

Cancellation item by Costco.ca i called to find out why it’s canceled, CS told me website issues we can reorder your items again but will be different price higher then before, i told her i need my item for what i paid , she said we can’t help you i will transfer you to speak with the manager and and hang on me 2 times .Rude people ,low customer service. Such a bad experience with costco.ca , don’t ever order from them .warehouse service way better then those team that works on Costco.ca
