Absolutely unacceptable experience

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I paid for a full 24 hours in the hospital, yet they still tried to slap me with a £100 parking charge. Feels like they're just out to take advantage of people. Extremely disappointed with the way they handle charges. Avoid if you can.

Given any choice!

Wrong details provided on a fine they issued to me, but because I paid the fee, it seems I am unable to appeal.
Who makes these rules up?

Disgracefully attitude

Went to the pictures in worksop.
One arriving all the disabled parking bays were taken up by vans. The men were working on the roof . No parking tickets or permits allowing them to use the disabled bays. Spoke to a lady in the Savour pictures house who said its OK just use any of the other bays but display your blue badge. On return to my car . You got it I had a ticket. I disputed it which was refused. You are a disgrace. What a way to treat people after being told what to do by the staff on duty.

Dear Car Parking Partnership,

Dear Car Parking Partnership,

I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Parking Management

The issue that I have experienced was: Dear Team...
I tried paying for the parking fee on that day you can check the cameras... But it was showing yesterday... In which I got there 12:57am which is a new day and was supposed to be free parking at night... And even if it's not free, there was supposed to be a rate in which it wasn't showing any. So I left thinking it was free overnight

It occurred on: 2024-08-07

This meant that I am really upset seeing this like I violated the law... This is not fair

Either recalculate my normal fee or just reduce the fine because it wasn't intentional or my fault.. It was the machine

I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. As recommended by Trading Standards, I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply to this email address.

Yours faithfully,

Bottom feeding scum

Absolute bottom feeders preying on people using hospital car parks. The car park at Harlow Hospital (Princess Alexandra) was full - myself and several other attendees parked in the centre of the car park (still allowed plenty of space and access to other vehicles parked and entering). We even checked with the security/wardens who confirmed this was okay.

There was no way I could park in a car park outside of the hospital with a heavily pregnant partner.

Returned to my vehicle with a fine on the windscreen - the penalty was due to parking outside of marked bags.

I challenged the appeal on the same day - nothing heard for months.

2+ months later I receive a letter of a £100 fine through the post and threats of court summons. Zero response to the actual appeal.

Typically, they are impossible to contact. They’re also a private firm regulated by another dodgy firm on commission - chances of any successful appeal are slim.

It is not worth the anxiety of a CCJ as the appeals seem to end up in limbo - I have reluctantly paid and only hope bad karma catches up with these xunts. Cretins of society.

I live in Cornwall and was visiting my aunt in Ware when I had to take her to Queen Alexander Hospital Harlow as an emergency to the day care unit. As no parking places available parked on a yellow line and displayed her disabled badge she was then admitted
9+ hours later.Issued a parking ticket which I appealed and was turned down so paid the fine. On returning home to Cornwall have received two further reminders to pay the fine I have now made a complaint to British parking association as you cannot talk to CPP to sort the problem. Not the way I expect a company to behave in this way as many people who visit hospital are in a distressed state
I hope CPP read these complaints and take action

Hospital parking fine issued 3 days after sons death

I was issued with a parking fine because I am now told my parking was not authorised.
The hospital supplied my son with the security entry code for the car park in an email on his phone.
As a result of this my husband was able to get out of the car and successfully enter the parking gate security key code gaining entry.
He is clearly seen on the photo entering the security number supplied by the hospital to get in the car park.

The reason we were at the hospital was to take my son to the Radio therapy dept for Cancer treatment.
Sent by St Helena hospice where he was an inpatient and this would help them due to hospital transport being very busy.

This was on the 2nd August
He died on 5th August
Parking fine issued on 8th August

I have paid the fine because I did not want to experience any additional trauma caused by appeals and time wasting follow ups.

Disgusting company no empathy at all

Disgusting company no empathy at all, make it ridiculous to even appeal a ticket given in error. I displayed a parking permit in my front window clearly as I am having chemotherapy. This was issued directly by the hospital at charingcross to cover the parking charge. Still was issued a 60.00 ticket. You would think that non curable cancer was enough but no car parking partnership are obviously the gift that keep on giving. Maybe there should be some empathy training included in your recruitment. Nobody parks at a hospital for fun. Still struggling with appeal process no phone number to get any help with it.

POPLA AND CPP ARE A SCAM!

POPLA AND CPP ARE A SCAM!
My wife was severely ill for 3 weeks at Princess Alexandra Hospital, she is registered as a Blue Badge Holder with the hospital reception as per the sign rules and we parked in the disabled bays as per the rules, somehow out of 21 days at the hospital we have received 3 penalties for apparently “not complying” somehow the other 18 days we did comply!
After appealing to POPLA they rejected all 3 appeals siding with the car parking company, no phone number to talk to a real person, just online. Clearly POPLA and CPP work in partnership to rip out people who at their moment of need and poor health just take advantage and rob us without any shame at all!
I’ve just called the hospital twice to try and get some help, they put us through to the parking manager which you can only leave a voicemail but the voicemail is full and cuts you off!

CPP - Car Park Pirates

Just a follow on from previous reviews. Waiting in hospital for 9 hours (nothing unusual these days!) and noticed parking charges flashed on hospital screen stating a fee of £12.50 for 24hrs. On leaving did the usual and paid at the machine inside the hospital which charged £13.10 - again, from reading the reviews, nothing unusual these days. Why is the hospital management allowing their patients to be ripped off? The wait of 9hrs is sadly with us for a long time to come but to give patients a double wammy where they have to pay higher fees the longer they have to wait is evidence of the greed which will always be with us.

Terrible system for disabled access

Parked at Ipswich Hospital every day for the seven days my wife was in a serious condition in the surgical ward.
I displayed my blue badge correctly with time card, the car is registered with the Hospital and I even checked with a parking attendant that I did not need to register each visit. He confirmed that once you have registered this is valid for the duration of the blue badge. So why did I receive four parking fines(possibly more to come) for parking?
They did the same thing to me last December and I appealed obviously, they cancelled the fine as a "goodwill gesture " !! Absolutely appalling when they/their system was wrong .Also only route you can take is appeal, no one to actually speak to , the Hospital needs to take their contract away .

No understanding at all

I’ll make this short and sweet.

Rushed to Ipswich hospital in an emergency as my baby hadn’t moved all day. Double checked the parking which said you can pay later.

On leaving I paid for 2 hours of parking as I thought this covered it.

I had actually been parked for 2 hours and 32 minutes. I apologised profusely, sent them the screenshot of payment but as I was panicked about my baby I didn’t check the time.

I then offered to pay the rest, genuinely apologetic and explained why I hadn’t checked the time properly. My appeal has been unsuccessful. I’ve just been made to pay £35.00 because I underpaid £1.25.

Absolutely no empathy, especially considering it’s a hospital and I did in fact pay on leaving, it was just under by 32 minutes.

They are devoid of any kind understanding or decency

Recently l had to attend Princess Alexandria Hospital in Harlow when l went to pay the parking fee the machine would not recognise my number plate, l tried several times on different machines but the same thing happened. I even went back into the foyer and asked at the reception if the machines were working properly, one of the receptionist kindly came out with me and he tried but the same problem happened. I left as l didn’t know what to do. I had another appointment the following week and the same thing happened. The following week l received a parking fine, l appealed explaining that their machine would not recognise my number plate and my attempt at getting help, the appeal was rejected on the grounds that l had no photographic evidence, appealed again telling them that l do not have a mobile phone (yes there are a few people who don’t) that l was 79 years old and not technically aware. They replied that there were other ways of paying but l did not see this. I paid the £60 fine but l now have another fine. To some people like me £60 is a huge chunk of their monthly pension, but another £60 to me represents a third of my monthly pension. It is not my fault that their machines are unable to recognise a personal number plate or are they designed that way. People may comment that if l have a PNoP that l must be able to afford such fines but this is not the case, l did not buy the plate l inherited it when my spouse died. Like thousands of pensioners l struggle with the cost of living. This company are leeches thriving at the expense of people who are unwell and vulnerable. £60 or worse a £100 fine is extortion

This company thrives on others misfortune

Parked at Harlow Hospital in the, almost empty drop off point for maternity. Did not see a 20 min stay sign anywhere. I am a midwife and needed to check the whereabouts of a high risk patient, this took longer than anticipated. Informed these thieves on receipt of the charge, which they rejected and did not inform me. Then get an over inflated charge of £125 - just for doing my job and trying to ensure the safety and well being of my patient. Even worse was I had forgotten to move the disabled badge from the windscreen and it can be clearly seen on their photo evidence

Paid for parking and still sent me a letter.

I paid for my parking at coventry hospital and by doing all the appropriate instructions. I even confirmed my car and registration on the machine.

They have still sent me a letter saying i haven't paid and are trying to fine me £100 reduced to £60 before 28days. Luckily... I have evidence on my bank statement to show that i had paid...

Please always make sure you have evidence

DO NOT USE CAR PARK!!!

DO NOT USE CAR PARK!!!

Car park is a scam & day light robbery!

I’ve used this car park multiple times while being in with my new born son, after paying for parking and having proof of payment I was still issued with parking fines which is absolutely disgusting! Appealing process is a joke along with CCP absolute waste of time stealing money from innocent people. 100% will not be returning back to Coventry hospital purely for this reason.

Absolutely appalling and disgusting company running the car park. If I could issue minus stars I would.

I am a Renal patient at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow. So far I have received two Parking Charge Notices from CCP. Yet I have passed over my registration to the relevant authority. So who do they think I am? And to contact them is only in writing or online appeal. Not good! I will, of course NOT be paying. It's hard to be mentally and physically drained, without this kind of aggravating provocation. Shame on you CPP.

baseless fine and complicated appeals process

I work at Harlow hospital and have received a fine for passing through the patient car park on my way to the staff car park. There is one tight area in the road where it is a blue badge drop off point which I only dip into to let oncoming vehicles pass, and leave immediately to carry on to the staff car park.
The cameras will catch me entering and exiting the car park before and after my shift and somehow have concluded that I was parked in the blue badge area for the entirety of my shift. I paid it off the first time to avoid any hassle but have been fined again for the same issue. My appeal has also been rejected and I have been advised by CPP to appeal through an external service called POPLA. POPLA require a 10 digit verification code to start an appeals process with them which is usually included in the rejection letter from CPP. However, there is no 10 digit number on the rejection letter and I need to get in contact with CPP. However, CPP have no phone number (except the contact number provided to pay the fine) and no email address, this is causing delays to my appeal with POPLA. All the while, CPP's 14 day grace period for the fine to stay at £60 is running out while it is CPP who are withholding the information I need to appeal with the company THEY told me to appeal through. The whole thing just feels like a scam.
