Love it
Love it. What a perfect little airport and everyone so helpful. Particular shout out to Phil in the car park (which is a bit expensive, but very convenient).

We were unable to take our flight from Bournemouth due to illness at the last minute before boarding. Everyone at Bournemouth Airport was kind and helpful. We were never treated as if we were an inconvenience. Well done Bournemouth - you are doing a wonderful job.

Condescending staff

Odpowiedź od Bournemouth Airport
80s treated badly by “special assistance”…
2 passenger of 80s were treated terribly by Bournemouth Airport special assistance staff on Friday night (my mum and aunt) and staff showed little help towards them.
Person them wheeled from the plane to the baggage hall and left them there.
No other member of staff helped these passengers, thus after several requests it resulted in one passenger having to remove their cases and sustaining a bad cut on her leg, ending up in Lymington hospital visit, plus another revisit again to the hospital this week. It’s all documented at the hospital.
It’s disgusting how Bournemouth Airport treat “special assistance” passengers,
Both regularly receive assistance and this shambles has only happened in Bournemouth Airport.
I hope the “special assistance” are proud of this shocking service.
Bournemouth would have got no stars, but it wouldn’t let me.
Fantastic customer service
We travel to & from Bournemouth airport frequently and always have a pleasant hassle free experience but on Sunday 12th January 2025 arrived from Alicante at approx 10.30pm to find out car battery was dead. The staff were absolutely fantastic in trying to sort this for us, in particular three young lads, Ollie, Elliott and Lewis who went over and above their normal roles and not only tried to charge our battery ( this did not work unfortunately) but they then pushed our car out of space & managed between them to jump start us and saw us on our way. We can't thank you guys enough, what fabulous customer service and a credit to the airport. Thank you so much.
good experience.…
Have flown from here three times in recent years
Absolutely fine.
Great wheelchair assistance.

In all the years that we have regularly used Bournemouth Airport, it has always been efficient with no problems.
Open a few more retail places and then it's perfect 😁
Great experience very quick check in process
Great experience very quick security check in process. Quick both ways, car parking opposite airport, very easy. Definitely use the airport again. Impressed.
Exorbitant parking charges, poor transport links
This airport tries its hardest to force you into exorbitant parking charges.
Busses are poorly synchronized to flight times and only 3 to and from a day.
To walk from the town or off site parking, there is only a muddy path by the road side with signs trying to stop you using it.
Overall a very poor service.
Special assistance
5*
Would rate more if we could! Amazing experience with special assistance from start to end. A big shoutout to Damon who is the most helpful, friendly and calm energy which is what you need when flying with someone disabled. We hope to have him every time we fly as he is the best! Also Ollie and Olly were really helpful, mature and friendly, nothing was too much for them! You guys always make it an amazing experience and take away the stress of flying with someone disabled. Keep up the good work! And we look forward to hopefully seeing you soon!
No public transport, endless queues
No public transport, questionable security and endless queues.
There are public transport options to this airport, a bus runs 3 times a day in the summer, not even a dedicated shuttle bus but a public bus that makes frequent stops and takes an hour to do a 10 minute car journey.
If your flight isn’t timed with one of the buses you have no option but to pay £5 to be picked up/dropped off. Some taxis will drop off in Hurn Court Lane opposite but you’re then faced with a walk along a muddy path that’s often overgrown with weeds, there is no pavement.
Airport drop off charges were introduced in the U.K. to encourage passengers to use public transport but it feels like shameless profiteering when there are no viable public transport alternatives.
I’m sure if you’re leaving from Bournemouth on holiday and then arriving back there then parking opposite the terminal is a boon but passengers travelling the opposite way, for a temporary stay in Dorset, are just not catered for.
Security is badly organised. Long queues build up because there aren’t enough scanners in use but even worse is the way the queue is set up. As passengers approach they come from the side and as a result tend to stick to the first of three “bays” to place their belongings in a tray. The refrain of “move right round please” is almost a constant. A bit of thought and planning could make it much more efficient.
And security guards should not be saying “you’re the most beautiful young girl I’ve ever seen”, to a 15/16 year old. No matter how innocent the comment may have been meant I’m sure the teenager in question did not want to hear that from one of a team that may shortly be asking to pat her down.
There’s a sign at security asking everyone to remove all shoes and jumpers. Luckily it wasn’t wholly enforced but I’ve never heard of that at any other U.K. airport. Are the scanners particularly deficient here?
Through security and it’s a shabby warehouse.
Duty Free shop is on a par with any other and there’s a WH Smith’s shop. The Navigator bar is awful. There’s a queue of up to 50 people waiting to be served at one till. Order a hot drink and after paying you then have to wait in another queue. You need a table number to order food, as I was travelling on my own, I memorised 3 table numbers before queuing but they had all gone for I was served.
Leave my bag at the table? I’m not doing that at an airport, not again….
Tables are incredibly sticky, dirty dishes pile up, it’s not a pleasant experience, although the food was well cooked.
I’m waiting at the gate now and already people are queuing. We’re not going for an hour and the inbound aircraft won’t be here for 20 minutes.
What is it with English people and queuing?
Bournemouth lacks the facilities of a larger airport but has none of the convenience of a smaller one (such as Southampton, where you can be on the train 10 minutes after landing).
I supposed to go on holiday from…
I supposed to go on holiday from Bournemouth airport for my birthday, we were refused to fly because apparently my girlfriend passport is 'damaged'. We were refused at the check in desk.
The next day we went to France with the same passport and no issues.
Ridiculous
Unacceptably loud engine noise
What is the hideously loud noise coming from Bournemouth airport early (7/8 am) every morning for the last 2 days (and this is not the first time)?? It’s way louder than planes taking off or landing - it’s a massive roaring sound that goes on and on. I live 2 miles away and it’s really loud where I am - imagine living closer!! Get a grip Bournemouth Airport- how arrogant must a corporation be to think it’s acceptable to inflict this on thousands of people!??
Staff caused The queue at security trailed back to…
The queue at security trailed back to the cafe at 5.30am.
Jobs worth on the conveyor stopping customers with more than one small bag of liquids and denying them from taking them.So as expected nobody is going to abandon carefully selected small 100 ml sized liquids and looked for customers to carry them who were able and happy to assist.
This old boy took great delight in causing the delay and upset to everyone.
He should be sacked or at the very least retired.
We just got through when our flight was boarding already.
There is no way to get to this airport…
There is no way to get to this airport other than by private car or taxi. Coming from Bournemouth station ask the taxi driver to drop you in the lane opposite the entrance to the airport and you will save £5.00. You can walk from there. Part of the foot way is unmade and awkward for wheely cases but otherwise it's OK.
Good Experience and easy to use airport
Having lodged noise and new flight path…
Having lodged noise and new flight path complaints to the *environmental* team and even being told a pilot *got lost* as an answer to why a commercial aircraft was flying so low over your are (thanks Debbie) it’s become quite clear that this Airport doesn’t care about the house occupants, environment or any of the people that have the misfortune of living near this badly run organization. This is especially important as they seek permissions for any expansions. The appear to take your calls as a joke (only made 2) and you can almost taste the comedy factor being enjoyed by other minimum wage employees within earshot of the person taking the call. Private jets and commercial aircraft seem to making their own rules as the sky above Avon Castle / Ringwood take on a new nuisance. I have never flown from this place but can only assume the other bad reviews paint a picture of a total lack of care across the board
Special assistance
I flew from Bournemouth on the 15th July and I cannot fault the parking and the special assistance.
I was assisted by Tyrone who was absolutely amazing and made the whole airport experience completely stress free.
Tyrone is great to chat with and the perfect personable caring individual to assist without judgement.
I would fly from Bournemouth again purely for the assistance which was the best I’ve ever experienced.
Terribly slow through security at 6 am
Terribly slow through security at 6 am. Staff need a medal for working at this airport. Cafe chaotic, dirty, and expensive. Toilets dirty at that time in the morning is disgraceful. Lots bad reviews for this airport, it needs someone to sort it out. Will not fly from here again
Transport…
How can an international airport not have any decent transport links and no car hire facilities.
