Bei einer 2. Bestellung lief alles glatt. War zwar eine Rücksendung meinerseits, allerdings ging die Rückabwicklung schneller, als bei anderen Shops.
Ich habe dort einen SOG Pentagon Dolch bestellt. Beim Auspacken hatte ich schon schwarze Finger.
Schlechte Beschichtung am Griffstück, welche sich komplett abfärbt; auch unter den Griffschalen.
Battlemerchant reagierte auf keine meiner 4 Emails.
Jedoch wurde ich durch eine automatisierte Email darum gebeten, das Messer zu bewerten. Durch diesen Verarbeitungsfehler und die fehlende Kommunikation von Battlemerchant habe ich mit einer 1 Sterne Bewertung reagiert.
Seltsamerweise wurde diese jedoch nicht auf ihrer Homepage veröffentlicht.
Ich werde nie wieder dort etwas bestellen!

Scammer Alert
Beware, this is not a legitimate business, but rather a huge scam.
I purchased a pair of identical items from them. One of the two came seriously damaged. Their website's return policy suggests they would send you a shipping label for return. So I contacted them, expecting to receive one. First I didn't hear back from them. The next week I tried writing them again, making clear that if I didn't hear back I would start a paypal case.
That's when they did eventually write back, asking if I had returned the item!!! Mind you, no communication or return label up to that point. Then they suggested that they don't have return labels for my location. Mind you, I'm in a neighbouring country, not the other end of the world. They suggested I pay the return fee and then later there would be a reimbursement.
At that point seeing how shady and unprofessional the whole situation had been, I said no. I would not be paying for what would have been a massive shipment cost myself. Instead I would open a PayPal case and let them sort it out. Well, at that point they did send me a shipping label... from a company that has no branches close to me. A company that has NOT been listed even as one of their shipping options on their website.
I think they were perfectly aware that this would be unusable, especially given the size of the package and the fact that I would have had to hire a van and take it to another city in order to ship it with that service. But because they had sent me a label, that circumvented paypal's regulations, as far as they're concerned shipping label is sent and I can't do anything other than enter return information. At this point it would end up costing me more to return the item, so it made no sense to return it.
Simply put, they found the perfect way to steal a good deal of money from me, and you should not let them do the same to you.
Update:
Given that a year later the company has deemed fitting to question the legitimacy of my claim, I feel an update is in order:
Please read the description of the issue again, that is the exact order of events. Every single point I have written happened exactly as I have described it.
Offering "multiple solutions" does not mean anything at all, when your solutions were all to your win and my loss. I received a damaged item, the only ethical solution would have been a return / refund. Why should I have accepted anything less? I did not wish for a partial refund for a damaged item, nor did I wish the option to repair it myself. What I wanted was to send you the item back, and get my money back, as stated at the time in my PayPal case.
It is also the absolute truth, that when you finally decided to send me a return label, the service that you had selected was neither the original postal service, nor one already listed as an option on your website. If you chose to send me a random and as it turns out completely useless return label, that was again your lack of ethics and responsibility. This was absolutely not my problem.
But sending me the useless label did in fact circumvent the PayPal refund policy perfectly, and you did nothing after that. No other label was sent, nothing else was offered. This, is the definition of theft. You found a way to take money from me for something I did not actually receive.
And then a year later you have the audacity to try over and over again to question the legitimacy of my review. Marking it as defamatory, and now your once again extremely dishonest response.
Take responsibility for your actions, or accept the label of a scammer.

We responded to your inquiry and offered multiple solutions, including a return with reimbursement of shipping costs, a partial refund, and later also provided a return label once it became available. At no point was there an intention to leave the issue unresolved.
International returns can sometimes involve logistical limitations depending on the country and available carriers. We regret that in this case the available return option was not convenient for you.
We strongly reject the accusation of fraudulent behavior. We are a long-established business and always aim to handle all customer concerns in a fair and transparent manner.
Nevertheless, we are sorry that we could not find a mutually satisfactory solution in this instance.

We would like to clarify the situation once more in a calm and factual manner.
From the outset, our goal was to resolve the issue appropriately. As your order was shipped internationally, our original shipping provider does not offer return labels for your location. For this reason, we initially offered a return with full reimbursement of the shipping costs.
In addition, we offered a partial refund as an alternative, to avoid any inconvenience on your side.
To further support the return process, we subsequently arranged a return label via an alternative carrier (UPS). This label provided a valid return option, which was ultimately declined.
After the case was escalated, PayPal independently reviewed all submitted documentation and communication and reached its decision accordingly.
We always strive to handle such situations in a fair, transparent, and customer-oriented manner. We therefore respectfully but clearly reject any allegations of fraudulent intent.
We made every reasonable effort to provide a workable solution under the given circumstances.
Despite multiple solutions being offered, none were accepted.

Super Beratung von 2 kompetenten Damen
Ich war mit meiner Schwester da um uns einfach erstmal nur umzugucken. Letztendlich haben wir uns dazu entschieden uns ein komplettes Outfit für einen Mittelaltermarkt rauszusuchen. Wir wurden von 2 Damen super beraten, uns wurde beim anzuziehen und wieder ausziehen geholfen, da wir am Anfang nicht wussten wie man bspw so einen Ledergürtel bindet. Wir waren am 02.04.25 in Wacken um uns neu umzukleiden von Englisch auf Wikinger. Nach dem Betreten des Geschäfts konnten wir erst mal in Ruhe schauen was vorrätig war und entschlossen und dann Hilfe in Anspruch zu nehmen . Die Beratung war Super und Fachmännisch , man war bei der Zusammenstellung behilflich was bei mir und meiner Partnerin nicht ganz einfach war . Nach ca. 2 Std. verließen wir das Geschäft frisch Eingekleidet , alles war passend und auf meine persönliche Darstellung angepasst . Selbst meine Partnerin die eigentlich immer auf höchstem Niveau etwas zu kritisieren hat war Wunschlos Glücklich !!! Und genau das war auch der Grund warum wir uns aus dem LK GF nach Wacken gemacht haben . Wir sehen die Ware , können sie Anprobieren und aufeinander Abstimmen . Auch ein paar Tipps bekam ich noch weil ich Wadenwickel nicht besonders gut vertrage ! Hätte ich die Hose genommen die ich mir im Katalog ausgesucht hatte , ich hätte wie Obelix ausgesehen . Wir werden unsere Einkäufe immer im Shop machen , da bekomme ich was ich Suche und eine gute Beratung . Ganz klar 5 Sterne von Gunnars Holzgeschmeideschmiede

Compte débité commande non reçue
Plutôt positif mais très surprenant. Un an plus tard, je reçois un message d'amélioration de leurs process. Ok, j'espère que ce sera efficient.
Remboursée en 48h00 suite à cet avis. Ce site n'est donc pas une arnaque, ils ne sont juste pas doués pour les commandes au détail.
J'ajoute 1 étoile à cette entreprise car suite à la publication de mon avis, j'ai été contactée, en français, par courriel. Celui-ci m'indique que je vais prochainement être remboursée... j'espère que ce sera le cas.

J'ai passé une commande le 28/01/2025, je n'ai reçu aucune confirmation de ma commande et de fait, au rafraîchissement de la page, mon panier était plein. Or, le 29/01/2025, mon compte à bel et bien été débité du montant de ma commande.
A ce jour, je n'ai rien reçu. J'ai contacté le site, en allemand comme requis, pour leur expliquer la situation. A ce jour, je n'ai reçu aucune réponse.
Bref, ce site est une belle arnaque. Sans article, sans réponse, me voilà juste délestée de 79,88€, frais de port inclus.

Nous sommes désolés pour les problèmes rencontrés lors de votre commande initiale, notamment l’absence de confirmation et le manque de communication. Cela ne correspond pas à notre niveau de service habituel.
Ce problème est malheureusement lié à notre système de boutique en ligne en combinaison avec le prestataire de paiement. Dans de très rares cas, une telle erreur technique peut se produire et n’est parfois détectée qu’ultérieurement lors de notre contrôle comptable.
Nous regrettons sincèrement cette situation. Nous sommes toutefois ravis que le problème ait pu être résolu rapidement et que le remboursement ait été effectué dans les meilleurs délais.
Nous travaillons actuellement à la mise en place d’un nouveau système afin d’éviter ce type de problème à l’avenir et d’améliorer encore notre service.
