Don't order from this site if you're a half size

Paid $35 in shipping/return shipping when there was no chance of these shoes fitting. Sizing guides are inaccurate. I'm a US 9.5 and their size 10 was massive, and their size 9 was so small I couldn't get my feet in. Wouldn't recommend ordering here if you're a half size. It also took so long to get exchanges/return labels sent: they wouldn't send labels until I followed up 2-3 times via email. Took over 2 weeks to get refunded for my return which didn't happen until I followed up. All around was a headache of an ordering experience and I lost $35 when plenty of other brands offer free exchanges and returns

yep so after only looking at this review did they decide to check and said the courier lost my package- idk if i even believe that but now idk how long it will take to come

schlechter Kundenservice und viel Aufwand für eine Retoure

Die Schuhe sind zwar schön, bei dem schlechten Kundenservice und Aufwand für eine Retoure lohnt sich das Bestellen von der Onlineseite direkt aber auf keinen Fall. Ich habe verschiedene Größen zusammen bestellt, ein Karton kam schon mal beschädigt an. Um die nicht passenden Schuhe zurückzuschicken, habe ich den Kundenservice kontaktiert, der allerdings auf mehrere Mails nicht geantwortet hat. Daher habe ich über 2 verschiedene Mailadressen versucht, eine Antwort zu bekommen, um diese Schuhe endlich wieder loszuwerden… Eine Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Kurier war auch nach Wochen nicht möglich, obwohl von Ballerette versprochen. Zu guter letzt soll ich statt den angekündigten 15€ für die Rücksendung nun 28,90€ zahlen, die auch nicht übernommen werden, trotz des nervigen Aufwandes. Ich würde nie wieder von Ballerette direkt bestellen, wenn dann nur über Zalando o.ä. Extrem nerviges Verfahren.

£900 spent and 3 weeks for delivery. Beautiful shoes, very poor customer service!

I placed a large order (for seven pairs of shoes!) for approx £950 for an order to the UK. Days passed and I heard nothing about dispatch. When I finally contacted them - they advised they were out of stock of one item. I selected a replacement and asked them to send the order. Several more days passed and the same thing happened again (another pair out of stock). This time I asked for a refund for one pair, but still they didn't send the remainder. I started to become really distressed and disappointed. It is impossible to speak to anyone, they take days to reply to emails (if at all). I have contacted them daily pleading with them to dispatch my order. I was told yesterday by DHL, but still NOTHING. It has now been over two weeks. They have a huge amount of my money and have not even the courtesy to send the order, or even call me to explain or apologise. What am I supposed to do? Is this company a scam? I have never had such a poor experience. I'm not sure I will ever receive my shoes.

EDIT: Two days after I posted this review and raised a dispute with PayPal, my shoes were miraculously dispatched and reached me by next day delivery (which they honoured at no additional cost to me). They also kindly refunded the original postage cost and issued me a voucher for a future purchase. The shoes are absolutely beautiful - everything I hoped they would be (I sized up from 38 to 39 and felt this was a good fit).

I have extremely mixed feelings about this company - their product is beautiful and worth the high price, but the customer service and communication is so poor. It was exactly 3 weeks from purchase to delivery - this is crazy! I don't know how a business can function in this way.

terrible customer service...still don't have my order & no one is replying

i placed an order for a pair of Ballarette shoes (4 May 2026) however it's been over a week and the company still has not dispatched my item. I reached out to customer service via the forms THREE times, so far only received one reply that didn't give any details or assurance as to when they would ship the item. I followed, but no response.

I find the customer service really terrible - especially when the shoes are expensive. Save your money and buy somewhere else with better service.

I still don't know if i am EVER going to get my shoes. I really don't mean to leave a bad review, however I had no choice... no one is getting back to me and this has been stressing me out.

sehr kulanter Customer Service

Es gab zunächst Probleme, weil das Paket verloren ging. Als ich reklamierte, hat sich der Customer Service sehr bemüht und die Schuhe mit DHL Express zugeschickt, sie waren innerhalb von 2 Tagen da, außerdem wurden mir die Kosten für die Lieferung refundiert.

Horrendous quality control and customer…

Horrendous quality control and customer service.

I placed an order for the Aventino in my usual size. They arrived with a stain on the sole, ran very small, and one shoe was smaller than the other, even though they were marked the same size. Ballerette said they would refund me the entire purchase amount with shipping, but only refunded me for the shoes.

I ordered a second pair in a size up. They also arrived with damage — some kind of bunched up material stuck in glue that oozed out on the inside of the shoe. I asked, again, that they refund me for the full amount including shipping given the damaged item I received. They sent me a $15 shipping refund right away while they await the return package.

Now, Ballerette won't refund me the remainder of the shipping for the first pair. When I have asked customer service to address it, they pretend they don't know what I'm talking about because they've already refunded ONE of the two $15 charges for the second pair.

These shoes are stiff, uncomfortable, and customer service is slow and unhelpful. If you're going to buy them, do so with a credit card or Paypal with good protections so you can do a chargeback, like I am about to.

Acquistate a Como sabato scorso. La scelta e' stata difficile! Sono tutte belle e i colori di una varietà vasta, impossibile non trovare il modello adatto. La commessa è stata accogliente, sorridente, gentile e professionale.

I really hope Ballerette makes half…

I really hope Ballerette makes half sizes someday. I am a Euro 37.5, and after measuring my feet, it seemed the size 8 would work. unfortunately, it was too big and fell off my foot when I tried to walk. I exchanged for a size 7, which was excruciatingly small. I had to remind the company to refund me after about a month of waiting. I would still buy from them again if they made half sizes.

Leider enttäuschender Kundenservice

Leider enttäuschender Kundenservice. Die bestellten Schuhe (Monserrato, 195€) fallen deutlich eine Nummer zu klein aus. Das andere Paar, das ich bestellt habe, enttäuscht von der Qualität (synthetisches Material, innen sehr unangenehm, Fenice, 125€). Der Kundenservice reagiert nicht auf meinen Rückgabewunsch, deckt sich also mit den anderen Erfahrungen hier.
Ich mag die Firma an sich und habe bisher sehr gerne andere Modelle von Ballerette getragen, die ich mir im Italienurlaub gekauft hatte. Aber ich rate dringend davon ab, Schuhe über ihre Onlineplattform zu bestellen, wenn man sie vorher nicht live gesehen oder bereits anprobiert hat. Sonst bleibt man wie ich auf 320€ für 2 unpassende Schuhe sitzen. Not again!

Nachtrag: Wenige Tage nach dieser Bewertung klingelte ohne Vorankündigung plötzlich ein DHL-Mitarbeiter (bei einem Familienmitgied) an der Tür: Er sei gekommen, um „das Paket“ abzuholen. Keine Ahnung, es ginge nach Italien.
An sich gut, dass Ballerette dies in die Wege geleitet hatte - jedoch war ich bei der Arbeit und wusste von nichts - die Firma hatte mich nicht informiert und so hatte ich die Schuhe auch nicht für einen Rückversand vorbereitet. Im Nachhinein entdeckte ich lediglich eine kurzfristige Information von DHL in meinem Postfach - 1,5 Stunden vor Ankunft des Postautos. Jedoch ist das viel zu kurzfristig, wenn ich im Büro sitze und Termine habe und meine privaten Mails erst am Abend lese. ?! Ich werde dort nicht mehr bestellen.
