Zeer slechte ervaring. Ik huurde een auto van 11u tot 23u. Dan als wij (ik en een vriendin) bij Avis aankomen, zeggen dat dat de winkel op 13u ging sluiten maar dat wij de auto mochten laten op de straat. Dit hebben wij gedaan maar achteraf nog een boete gekregen omdat wij de auto op de straat hebben gelaten!!! Verzonnen boete met verzonnen administratieve kosten erbij. Ik hoop dat andere mensen deze reviews op voorhand kunnen lezen, want dit hebben wij niet gedaan en helaas dit meegemaakt. Dieven!

Uit de communicatie met de accountmanager krijg ik niet de indruk dat deze organisatie de bedrijfswagen wil verhuren. Meedenken voor een efficiënte werkwijze is schijnbaar teveel gevraagd. Niet geschikt.

Avis/Budget in South Africa took money of my credit card after an accident while the car was parked. Not any fault of mine as the car was parked and a friend of mine reversed into the car. We got a police case number and the insurers details, but despite all that they still took over £800 off my credit card for the damage indicating that I would get my money back as soon as the insurers of the Third Party paid out for the damages. This was more than four months ago and needless to say, I'm still waiting for my money while paying interest every month as well. The communication with me is poor, to put it mildly, and even though an offer was made by the insurers, Avis/Budget reckoned it is too low. So obviously, they took more money off my credit card and is now playing games to see if they can get more of the insurers while the innocent party (me in this case!) is still paying interest and suffering the emotional stress! I will never ever use then again and I advise any travellers to South Africa to avoid using Avis/Budget!!

Run! Run away from Avis/budget group! Save yourself! I rented a car, had it 4 hours, it blew a tire on 95. Should have had it two days, nope. Still got charged for two days plus a $350 a random charge with no breakdown of what it was for. Tires popping is a maintenance issue. Budget changed my suv to a car siting hand controls. I told the representative I had a medium sized dog crate I needed to get into the car, she said oh yeah it will be more than enough room. You all give me a Jetta, what about that says room? The crate did not fit and now one of my indoor cats is running around outdoors in a state I’m no longer in. Thanks. Budget turned an easy move into a traumatic nightmare. They call roadside assistance being “rescued” like we can’t get more sexist. I have never needed to be rescued thank you very much. Budgets gave the tow truck a location not near me and the tow truck had to call me at 5 am to find the car. He had to go down each exit off 95 around the area to find the car. They didn’t show until 5 am and my fish tank is still in the trunk because there are no movers on the side of the road at 3am. Budget has caused the loss of a cat and a entire fish tank. And still are trying to charge me extra. I am serverly disabled, and budget made an easy move into a traumatic nightmare. Run as fast as you can. I’ve been charged $750 for a car I drove 4 hours.

Ventede i kø i 2 timer i lufthavn på at få betjening. 1 person bag skranken som tog 15-20 per person.
Bilen var forudbestilt og betalt, og alligevel mister man 2-3 timer af din ferie.
Europcar skranken ved siden af havde masser medarbejdere og ingen kø. Bestil et andet sted!

The most useless car rental company I have used internationally.
Shocking service and incredible unprofessional.
Deducted money for an alleged traffic fine, however still can't prove ir say what the offense was. Will NEVER use them again. Be forewarned people.

AVIS har efter udlejningen trukket flere beløb på mit kort, som intet har med udlejningen at gøre. Det er rent tyveri, og de reagerer ikke på henvendelser. De trækker bare nogle tilfældige beløb op til 1,5 måned efter afslutning af aftalen. Det er vildt, at man skal til at politianmelde et udlejningsfirma for at undgå, at de "stjæler" penge fra ens kort.

This company are appauling. I tried to collect a pre-booked hire car. After a 2 and a half hour queue i was told that I would have to pay £27.50 per day for insurance which only covered paint and windscreen. This equates to over 10k a year for minimal basic car insurance. I had already paid insurance for the hire period through their agents jetcar but they told me they wouldnt stand over that. I was stranded in the airport with no option but to pay. Disgraceful. I feel abused and robbed.

Ein Freund wurde mit einem Schaden konfrontiert den er nicht verursacht hat. Wir haben bereits einige andere Ex-Kunden von Avis/Budget Mallorca Flughafen ausfindig machen können welche ähnliches berichten.

Oplichting in Alicante
I rented a car in Alicante Airport and gave the car back with full fuel. They asked me to show the payment that should be within 10 km of the airport. It was okay, they went to the car to see if it was full, they smiled saying goodbye.
And what did they do? They charged full amount of fuel and another unknown amount.
I should get my money back! € 69,85 for fuel.
And € 21.57 extra that was charged I don't know why.
Rent: € 600,02
Extra driver: € 67,08
Total to be paid: € 667,10 NOT € 758,52
Incredible people working there in Alicante Airport at Avis/Budget. I thought Avis/Budget was a reliable company....

the person who assisted me at the Fort Lauderdale airport deceived me and defrauded my contract by placing insurance that I did not request. From what I've seen on the internet, there are several reports that the same thing happened to other customers... which makes me imagine that this is encouraged by the company. You may even profit in the short term, but I will criticize you to as many people as I can and I will NEVER be your customer again. This is fraud and it is nonsense. I have rented several times from the Alamo and this has never happened. I will open complaints in all possible channels, including judicial.

This is the Avis Budget car rental Group Kastrup Copenhagen management. In their pre-renting mail advise me that I "MUST" be on time, no matter if the scheduled flights has delay. This is my fault!!! And they charge 375 dkk in my credit card for the flight company delay...I think that must be something to discuss in front of a court. I never have seen such a cheating behaviour in my traveller life.

SCAM!! DO NOT USE !
I reserved a car via Economy Bookings but when I came at the Avis counter they said they couldn't use the voucher and that the car I had reserved wasn't available. They made me sign and pay for an upgrade which I never asked for. They said I would be refunded after returning the car but they never gave me back my money. Conclusion; I paid twice for just one car!! I want my money back!

Versuchen einem Schäden unterzujubeln, die man nicht verursacht hat, rufen nicht einmal an und buchen einfach hunderte Euro ab. Ich bin entsetzt, das ist Betrug. Jetzt verstehe ich die älteren Leute, die ihre Kreditkartendaten nicht hergebeb wollen. Mietet euch woanders ein Auto!

I signed a contract to pay 300 Euros at drop off (beacuse I hired the full insurance at the counter staff). When I dropped off the car they charged me 1200 Euros on my credit card without authorisation and now not answering emails or calls.
In addition, they only have 1 person at the counter staff so the queues for pick up and drop off are very long.
It's not the 1st time this company charges money on my credit card that has not been agreed previously. Never use them

Not sure why so many negative reviews. My experience is otherwise.

I booked a 7 seater car from Glasgow airport. Got hassle-free pickup. The requested Peugeot 5008 was not available so got WV Touran Car. Little disappointed but Touran was 2021 model and was like almost new.

Travelled with car for almost 700 miles without any issue. And returned the car too without any issue. Expecting my deposit back in this week. Very nice experience and faced no issues. Will choose Budget again in future for booking.

Do not trust! They double charge for everything!
Long story short. Booked a car online for 350 euro to use it in Naples for 4 days.
I end up paying 750 euros when I returned the car.
Made complaint since than....nothing solved since now.

Pas!! Oplichting!! Geen auto's huren bij dit bedrijf! Ze proberen bij je een extra verzekering af te dwingen en als je die niet afneemt heb je ineens 4 weken na ineveren van je huurauto schade.. Geen contact met het bedrijf mogelijk en reageren niet op jou als klant..

En stjerne er de ikke engang værd.

De overholder ikke egne aftaler. Jeg lejede bilen i Danmark og fik den i San Francisco. Der skulle vi, efter to timers ventetid udfylde ny kontrakt for at få bilen.
Aftaler ikke overholdt.

I have made a friend out of my rental guy who is an independent operator which I like to support. Shawn Labbe at AVIS/BUDGET 3069 Alcoa Hwy, Alcoa, TN 37701, is a stand up guy who tries to give you the best deal possible. Even when I was like an hour late turning in my rental, because I was driving from Tampa, Florida to Alcoa, TN in a tropical storm….it took me 11.5 hrs of driving hell lol….need I mention that I was driving a car that wasn’t mine, and torrential rain and wind 😳😳😳? Anyway, Shawn did not charge me for another day even though I made him late closing down. I’ve rented from him about 3 times and he takes care of me. It’s hard to find honest people anymore….thank you, Shawn Labbe for all that you do.
