The worst experience ever with Artspert
The worst experience ever. I am an artist and I had an agreement with Artsper on 30% commission fee. by the end they paid to me 50% less what they should have pay including delivery fee. They are super slow at responding properly. I am waiting for the answer almost a week. Incompetent staff who does not give prompt answer.

We are sorry to hear that your experience with Artsper did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify a few points regarding your sale.
The order was placed on December 11, 2024, and despite multiple follow-ups on our end, we only received a response from you a month later, on January 16, 2025. Unfortunately, this delay, which is significantly longer than what is outlined in our Terms and Conditions, impacted the entire process.
Additionally, the shipping fees you initially indicated were incorrect, which required us to ask the customer for an additional payment. To help facilitate the sale and ensure customer satisfaction, Artsper also offered a discount as a goodwill gesture.
The overall delays were further extended as you were unable to issue an invoice, which was not Artsper’s responsibility. Finally, regarding the commission, the 30% rate applies exclusively to artists with a subscription. Since you do not have a subscription and have been benefiting from Artsper’s visibility for free the commission is 50% as per the T&C. No surprise here.
We remain available should you need any further clarification and hope this explanation provides a clearer understanding of the situation.

My gallery Concept store gallery in La Baule , sold one of my sculpture on ARTSPERE .
I delivered the work 24 h later and was asked to pack it up at the gallery
No news of the sales or payment for 3 weeks . Finally upon complaining, I finally got paid 24h later …
The work sold on artspere for $483 which should converse to €469 however change rates that day must have been poor since it translated into only €436,47 !
Then concept store Gallerie took €125,08 for port fees + their commission of 15-% and the mysterious fee from Artspere translated into me receiving €265 !
€469-265 = €204 of fees unexplained !
Then I was insulted and accused of not knowing my math but since neither this Gallerie or Artspere are providing me with receipts paid I cannot be assured of the transaction !
I do not recommend to exhibit with this gallery unless you see the Internet conditions of sales !

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that everything related to your sale on Artsper was handled in accordance with our terms and without any delays on our part.
The order was marked as delivered by your gallery on December 31st, and the payment was processed once the 14-day legal withdrawal period, imposed by European law, had passed. This period allows customers to change their minds after delivery. Consequently, the payment was made promptly on January 15th.
If you raised a complaint regarding payment the day before, it is entirely normal that it was resolved the following day, as all processes were completed on schedule.
Regarding the amount you received, we encourage you to contact your gallery directly. The gallery received the full payment according to our contract and has access to the corresponding invoice within their Artsper account.
We remain at your disposal should you have any further questions.
Artsper: eine enttäuschende Erfahrung für Künstler
Meine Zeit bei Artsper war leider alles andere als zufriedenstellend. Anfangs schien die Plattform vielversprechend: Die Möglichkeit, als Künstler auf einer kuratierten Seite vertreten zu sein und internationale Sammler zu erreichen, klang verlockend. Doch schnell wurde mir klar, dass die Realität anders aussieht.
Schon der Einstieg war mit hohen Kosten verbunden. Der Mitgliedsbeitrag ist beachtlich und darauf kommen noch 30 % Provision auf jede verkaufte Arbeit. Doch damit nicht genug – um die eigene Kunst überhaupt sichtbar zu machen, wird man zusätzlich dazu gedrängt, teure Werbemaßnahmen zu buchen. Das treibt die Preise in die Höhe und lässt ehrliche Künstler und deren Käufer auf der Strecke. Die Sichtbarkeit auf der Plattform scheint mehr von den finanziellen Mitteln des Künstlers abzuhängen als von der Qualität der Kunstwerke.
Besonders enttäuschend war für mich die fehlende Transparenz. Kunden wird suggeriert, dass die Werke sorgfältig kuratiert sind, doch in Wirklichkeit erhalten nicht die besten Bilder die meiste Sichtbarkeit, sondern die Werke derjenigen Künstler, die am meisten für Werbung ausgeben können. Das untergräbt das Vertrauen sowohl von Künstlern als auch von Sammlern.
Schließlich wurden durch Änderungen in den Bedingungen weitere Einschränkungen eingeführt, die Künstler mit weniger Engagement noch weiter ins Abseits drängen. Diese Maßnahmen waren für mich der ausschlaggebende Grund, meine Mitgliedschaft zu beenden. Ein einfacher Wechsel zu einem kostenlosen Konto war auf der Webseite technisch nicht möglich, und eine faire Rückerstattung meiner bereits gezahlten Gebühren wurde abgelehnt.
Letztendlich habe ich mich nach einer langen Phase der Enttäuschung und Desillusionierung dazu entschlossen, auf eine andere, seriösere Plattform zu wechseln. Dort habe ich bereits deutlich mehr Aufmerksamkeit für meine Werke erhalten, und die Bedingungen sind fair und transparent.
Mein Fazit: Artsper wirkt auf den ersten Blick wie eine gute Möglichkeit für Künstler, ihre Werke einem breiteren Publikum zugänglich zu machen, aber in Wirklichkeit ist die Plattform teuer, undurchsichtig und bevorzugt die finanziell stärksten Künstler. Für alle, die nach einer Plattform suchen, die wirklich Kunst und Künstler fördert, kann ich Artsper leider nicht empfehlen.

es tut uns leid zu hören, dass Artsper nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprochen hat. Wir möchten klarstellen, dass unsere Gebühren von 30 % im Vergleich zu anderen Plattformen, die oft über 50 % Provision auf die Verkäufe von Künstlern nehmen, fair sind.
Was die Werbung betrifft, bieten wir die Möglichkeit, für Kampagnen zu bezahlen, aber das ist keineswegs verpflichtend. Es ist ein zusätzlicher Vorteil, wie es auf vielen Online-Plattformen der Fall ist, und wir bemühen uns, allen Künstlern eine faire Sichtbarkeit zu gewährleisten, unabhängig davon, ob sie Werbung machen oder nicht.

Esperienza pessima. Persone poco professionali. Hanno rifiutato di pubblicare alcune opere perchè mancanti di alcuni dati tecnici, la cui necessità non era menzionata nel contratto da me accettato (sono stata rimandata ad un link, ma anche di questo nessuna menzione nel contratto. Non solo, una volta che ho fatto notare che nel loro sito vi erano già delle opere con caratteristiche tecniche uguali alle mie, dopo più di 15 gg mi hanno risposto che avrebbero provveduto a farle rimuovere (anche se di fatto erano state già accettate). Che dire...sono interessati solo ad avere i compensi minimi iniziali di iscrizione?

Regarding the other works you mentioned, once we were made aware of the situation, we took the necessary steps to ensure that all listings adhere to our guidelines, including the removal of works that didn’t meet these criteria.

Je n'étais pas sûre du type d'œuvre que je voulais acheter, mais Artsper m'a permis de trouver facilement la bonne œuvre grâce à ses filtres et à ses recommandations. Le processus d'achat s'est déroulé sans problème et leur service clientèle était toujours disponible lorsque j'avais des questions sur l'expédition. Une suite de coups de coeur
J'ai habillé mes murs et mon appartement en plusieurs années avec des peintures et des sculptures coup de coeur grâce au très large (le mot est faible) choix proposé par Artsper. Jamais je n'ai été déçu par l'oeuvre ni par le service logistique et de suivi des commandes.

Total scam ripoff. They tell you the art is "original" then they turn out to just be copies and don't let you return it for any refund.
