Why did they change a perfectly good system to this absolute joke of a system, it sends you round in circles wanting you to log in several times, with layers of security checks and then you still can't buy the item!!!! Argos big fat fail SORT IT OUT ASAP!!!! I've cancelled my account Amazon will be getting my money from now on - Argos = rubbish

Peformed a hard search on my credit file without my knowledge or permission when it changed from Argos Card to Argos Pay. I'm in the middle of a mortgage application and this has caused my score to drop.

Paid off and closed account, I won't be back, don't trust NewDay one bit.

Since it changed from the Argos card it's a nightmare!
Difficult to make payments, hard to understand payments and useless call center staff !
Will try to clear my balance then it's goodbye Argos.

We both have argos cards and used them for shopping and fuel now we can't use it on the important this . And yes we did buy from argos as well so will be closing account once paid off very disappointed

Absolute cranks, AVOID!!! Couldn’t set up account due to beyond dire roll out! Eventually set up a DD which they failed to request!! Made a manual payment so they then hit me with a £12 late charge!!! Have tried to speak to a human but can’t get through. LEGALISED SCAMMING OF CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!!

Don't believe that you are entertaining into a contract with Argos, this is a ropey finance company, nothing more nothing less,I would give it no stars if I could, I have purchased 2 items using Argos pay, one using a buy now pay later account which is over 6 months, I opened this 3 months ago, I recently bought another item with 24months interest free credit payment plan, since opening the second account it is impossible to pay any money to pay off the bnpl account even though it accrues interest earlier, there is no facility to choose which account you pay and it's quite clear this system is set up to charge you interest, numerous phone have either ended in being given the wrong adive from some call center in Asia or if you insist on talking to someone higher up the chain you simply ate informed they can't help you..this is a scam finance company avoid at all costs!!!

Absolute sh show with getting signed up. Changed conditions in teeny weeny T&C. Goodbye Argos Pay.

WOW What a terrible company new day and Argos is ... you get sent around the houses to just the the thing off... I have never had to work so hard to talk to someone and just got automated run around ... the thing is it says after 7 pm " sorry the office is closed" well if you only have automated and you never get to speak to a person what on earth is the point of that...

Today I spent a whole afternoon trying to purchase a washing machine on a buy now pay later, using the new Argos Pay app.
After 3 hours of setting, resetting passcodes, usernames, passwords and numerous one time passcodes being texted to me, I was still unable to buy.
What an absolute holy shambles! I will be deleting the app and never attempting to make a purchase from here again.

Worst payment method. It's very hard to make a payment against Argos pay credit. It's not accepting my EU revolut, which works fine everywhere in UK. It's a nightmare to login even to Argos pay. They have issued so many accounts number for same person. Not going to use them again, once my current credit is complete. Currys flex is much better option than this Argos pay.

Since migration to Argos Pay/New Day, I’ve experienced nothing but hassle! With the Argos Card, I was able to manage individual BNPL purchases and chip away with payments - it seems this is no longer an option - I will be able to clear the balance on my BNPL purchase once it expires which is ridiculous. Once I have paid off the balance, I intend to close the account.

since the change over of newday the app and the way you pay is terrible. I have paid down my balance and will not be using anymore.

Will never use this card again. They don't give you the heads-up to say the plan is coming to an end. I got hit with over £200 in interest because I didn't understand the new app nor was I warned about the plan coming to an end. This is probably the end of Argos now.

Since the change to Argos pay it has been nothing but frustrating.
The old Argos card system was fantastic and never a problem.
Once I have paid off any money I owe l shall be cancelling my account.

I went to pay for an order instore I need my username, password and sign in details who carrys them around you couldn't make it more difficult to pay for something il clear my bill then won't be using this argos pay app again what a complete waste of time totally disappointing I used to love argos not anymore

Won't be using this company any more!! They were supposed to up hold the bnpl contracts that were taken out before this company took over, but instead they won't allow you to pay anything from it before the end date, why so they can put all deferred interest on and make more money from you!! Bunch of scammers!! I will be paying balance and cancelling my card!!

Thieves!!

* No way to make specific payments to any BNPL which I had taken out with Argos not new day.
* Changed my payment date without saying and said it had always been this when ALL my previous Argos and bank statements would beg to differ.
* IMPOSSIBLE to get through to any human at customer service, I literally recorded a call of being looped back no matter what option is chosen. I’ve gotten through ONCE via chat and phone.

I will be closing my account ASAP. And it’s such a shame as Argos customer service used to be genuinely amazing.

Shocking shocking shocking!! I didn’t get a statement for May and I need it so I can make the payment. Nobody replies on chat and I cannot get through to an actual human when calling. The way plans are split is nothing short of ridiculous and it’s embarrassing anyone thought this could be an upgrade. I will close the card as soon as I pay it off. Shocking…Can’t believe I’m having to chase to make a payment so it doesn’t affect my credit score. What an absolute joke

Argos credit card was brilliant , now it’s gone over to Argos pay , it’s horrible, can not get any statement from December, their statements are so confusing , absolutely hate it , Argos credit card app was brilliant, you could see what you bought, when you bought it, when you bnpl ended on this thing you can not make it out, horrible

Since changing from argos card services to argos pay absolute shambles. No separate facility for paying down BNPL which I have used successfully for Argos products. Once balance paid off I will not be buying anything from Argos through this new system, will be shopping elsewhere!
