Do u want 2 no how rubbish this has got since the new plums took over take the pass code they don't make it easy o no u need a 6 digit code but u cant use the same numbers in that code so u cant have say 121 because u have already used the 1 are these that stupid there is only 10 numbers 2 use and u need a code u can remember when ur using argos pay there is so many login pages just 2 get in ur account never mind buy something with it they will reply saying we take security very serious yh more protected then the bank of England from now on ill use cash i think I cant remember 10 login stuff just 4 this and the interest is shocking are they trying 2 get the money they paided off me 4 argos pay not only do they get money from me using there services with the shop they want 3 times more off me in chargers Absolut jokes

Does this company actually want people to buy through Argos Pay or not?? As I couldn't make a purchase, I spoke to a really lovely guy at customer service, but after 15 frustrating minutes, I couldn't take it anymore?? Advice was, delete the app completely, download again in a few days, phone us for new login details???? What a palaver....

I ordered meta quest glasses in May for £390 , being paying it ever since which means I’ve paid £185 upto now but yet my account seems to look like I’ve only paid £40 which doesn’t make sense, they add fees when ever they want and interest is shocking, so if you want to get yourself into a turmoil of debt over item at this point which is not even worth what they’re charging me for I would stay well away from this company shocking! Since newday have bought the credit side of argos it's terrible. You cannot just pay off a buy now pay later if you have a normal credit purchase on your account. When you make a payment they credit it to your normal credit purchase and not to your buy now pay later purchase. This then means they can charge you interest for the term of the buy now pay later. The only way to prevent the interest is to pay the full account ballance for both purchases. I have been a argos card customer for a long long time. I have now paid off the account and closed it due to the newday takeover. They are just trying to impose credit charges on unsuspecting customers.

Since New Day have taken over, it's absolute garbage and I will be closing my account. Usually taking over something means improving it, but they have made it far worse - it lacks quite a few useful features, like the ability to allocate payments where you choose, clarity regarding interest on BNPL plans, and the customer service reeks of toxic positivity and zero accountability.

Argos made a big mistake selling their card services - I used to go to Argos first to buy stuff for home and for work, now I avoid it where possible.

If I could give less than one star I definitely would!

I'm so glad to have totally ditched Argos card, and avoid the pitfalls of this transition. The outcome - whilst predictable - has been appalling. Could not be worse. This will be the absolute downfall of Argos as a brand; they will be totally gone within a year, & deservedly so. I would urge any Argos card user to ditch the ArgosPay model, and spend your money elsewhere. Like I do. They do not deserve any custom after making such ridiculous changes to what was a decent scheme. Shameful.

I closed my account on the 1st September 2026 I still have not received written confirmation this has been done and I am being offered an increase on my credit limit, I do not want an increase, I just want to get rid and looking at the reviews on here, looks as though many people want to do the same

Absolutely atrocious if i could give it zero stars i would. I will be getting rid! I loved my argos card.. but now!! App useless, payment options useless. No nectar points...no point at all actually. I used to use for xmas sales and larger purchases.. this will affect how people who had the previous card shop at argos im sure ...

Tried to buy a new phone and each time it came up with “something went wrong” then tried again which locked the account, called them up which was fine and the lady was fine. Then the order went through but, they classed it as fraud and blacked the account yet again! I use this all the time to buy things more expensive than 400 pound. Then tried to call to verify it and the place is now closed!!!! Terrible experience

Argos pay I made a call and staff have spoken to manager agreed to take the interest off that was owing on my account to be paid by 5 th September. Also add the money to my account.As agreed via letter. This will stop any interest showing. . Pls can you take the interest off the account? As I will get more interest if I don’t pay it.
I have nothing to pay agreed now.
I will take this down once the interest is removed off my account. I’m at food bank.

This company absolute joke. With argos pay. Have to pay ya flexible credit off before u pay your bnpl off. (wtf) it's my money I should be able to spread my payments off when I like. Don't fall into this company's trap. With bnpl. Let's all email into Jeremy vine a bbc radio 2 and get this company to stop what they are doin before alot of ppl get ridiculous amount of interest charges. Argos wake up!!!

Really disappointed with Argos Pay. I tried to make my minimum payment on time, but the Argos Pay app crashed while I was trying to make the payment. Because of the app problem, my payment was made a day late and I’m now being told I’ll have to pay a late charge next time.

It’s extremely frustrating to be charged for being late when I was actually trying to make the payment on time and the app failed. Argos Pay should take responsibility when their own app prevents customers from making a payment. I hope they review this and remove the late charge.

The 'My Argos Card' app was head and shoulders above this argos pay app, they've made everything so much harder than it should. I've got an apple watch on a 6 month credit plan which I've only paid £12 off and the plan ends in October, you can't pay off specific plans, your payments go towards other plans first so you're then left with a massive bill time your plan is at its deadline date which defeats the object of paying with Argos pay. Bring back Argos Card or lose customers, what a ridiculous decision, and don't get me started on actually making a payment, it's all gone so wrong with Argos

I have been attempting to order a new mobile phone (£600+) via the Argos App AND Argos Pay...I have tried all different combinations, using A/Pay first then the Argos main App....all to no avail.
So, i tried my PC, resulting in a similar situation......I can only have this item delivered and want to use BNPL rather than Debit/Credit card....but the system takes the order all the way through the order process...and then kicks my payment back out again.
4 1/2 hours wasted today for what?....Absolute Crap!!! Really NOT happy and am going elsewhere to spend my money...Argos, you no longer deserve it.

Honestly.I dont even know what to say. Argos will lose a lot of customer like me. I used it for years,spent money,but now Im thinking to close my account. The old app was so easy to use. The new one is just as useful as my ex boyfriend. Such same on the person who designed the new app. Just look,how much money Argos will lose. I want the old one back.Absolutly 10000000% rubbish.

Can't use my card for BNPL plans and when you get in touch with Argos they say they don't know anything you have to speak to the company "NewDay" which owns it.

I would give Argos Pay 0 stars if I could.

I used Argos Pay with a Buy Now Pay Later plan and found the whole system extremely confusing and frustrating. Despite making payments, I was later faced with deferred interest charges, and I did not feel that the way the interest was calculated and applied was clear or transparent.

I contacted customer service and raised a formal complaint, but after reviewing my case they simply told me that they had made no error and that the charges were in accordance with their terms.

What I found particularly frustrating was that even after paying the outstanding balance of £251.60 to close the account, I was told that I could still be charged additional interest for the period between my last statement and the date my payment cleared.

The whole process has left me feeling that the system is unnecessarily complicated and designed in a way that makes it very difficult for customers to understand exactly what they need to pay to avoid interest.

I have now paid off the balance and requested that my Argos Pay account be permanently closed. I will not be using Argos Pay again.

Very disappointing experience. I would strongly recommend customers make sure they fully understand the deferred interest terms before using this service.

Unable to allocate payments to BNPL. New Day take the payments off the total amount. I'll end up paying interest on the BNPL when I shouldn't. Tried to buy a shed. Never again! Kept logging me out. Found a shed on Wayfair £300 less and 18 months interest free on Klarna. New Day would charge me £400 interest on that. My Argos card will be going in the bin!!!!
