Inconsiderate and inappropriate with sales hours.

A representative from this company rang our doorbell at 8:20 p.m. trying to sell their services. I understand door-to-door sales are part of business, but visiting that late in the evening feels intrusive and inconsiderate. It completely put me off from wanting to hear more. I’d suggest respecting people’s time and avoid calling on homes so late.

Excellent

Excellent! I have used Watsons for a few months now and I am very happy with the quality and reliability of the deliveries. The option to buy a bundle lowers the cost to make it comparable with supermarkets. Thank you!

Great milk and Bovaer Free,
unlike ARLA milk

Great choice of other products too

Great people to deal with and accessible on yhe phone

The app is usable but on the best, but a phone call sorts out any problems

I have a delivery twice a week, so convenient.

Broken egg in first box

First box of eggs received, as promised, but one of the eggs was broken and therefore not usable.

I emailed but got no response!

I received a welcome email which gave the wrong price for my order so I had to ring and was on hold for a long time before I got to speak to someone but even then I wasn’t convinced that my question had been understood.

I was promised that they used local farms and the label says they are from Cornwall, over 200 miles away!

Not impressed so far but will give another week to see if it improves

Edit 3rd October after response from Watson’s:-
I have already emailed and had no response, as I said in my review!

Rang my door bell then walked off

Rang my door bell then walked off, some scruffy little man then comes back with nothing to worry he says he's talking all my neighbours... Really, just shut the door, absolute time wasters deadbeats, will not be as pleasant if they come back again !

For the avoidance of doubt, he was wearing a watsons pantry top and have CCTV footage.

Helpful sales guy on door

Helpful sales guy on door. Clear understood his product and was non pushy. Delivery in good time on doorstep before 7am as promised. Very Reasonable prices. Website and ordering. Range limited and basic but can see new service building up popular mass bulk products. All works fine

Fantastic service

Having both the milk & breakfast bundle at the moment weekly. Discounted it was cheaper than any supermarket I could research (and I'm extremely thorough), undiscounted it's still great value for money for what it is.

Signed up a couple days ago. Don't understand how this hasn't become more popular or widespread throughout Alvaston.

Site is flexible, the rep I spoke to was extremely honest (5'9, dark hair, green sweater) guided me through everything.

Cold calling aside, the service itself is fantastic. If anything, the discount given from the rep is 3 months long - & from what I can see I can cancel whenever I want with no hassle.

If you do it, do the bundles, & do it with a rep at the door. The discount they give makes everything less than anywhere.

Will use it for as long as I live in Derby - for the next year or so.

They've responded saying they don't know it if was there sales guy. He was wearing a Waston's Pantry bodywarmer. How else would I know what company it was from.

Absolute DISGRACE!

Rang my doorbell over 3 times now, this is ridiculous and appalling behaviour when I am trying to work from home in peace (disturbing important client meetings). Do you not understand decent customer service? This has all happened within the space of 2 hours. After looking at other reviews, this happens on a regular basis. Shady cold calling practices in my opinion!

Brilliant service

Brilliant service. I have eggs delivered every weekend right to my door. They are always there on a Saturday early in the morning. The process is really easy for cancelling your order for a week or so if you are going away. Don’t kno what I would do without Watson Pantry

Pushy sales tactics

I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 because the sales guy was incredibly polite, and I dont want this review to be a reflection of him - its not necessarily his fault.
I was initially interested in the company and service offered, i mean who doesn't love a bit of convenience in a hectic week??
I assumed i would be given the initial "pitch" and then given a flyer or the website for me to peruse over in my own time, but it took me by surprise when the guy started adding things to the basket and then clicking "continue to payment".... I told the guy that I wouldn't be placing an order today and that I got paid on Monday. He asked if I could use my husbands card instead to complete the purchase.....I asked if he needed the sale for commission purposes, he then said "yeah, we don't get paid without the sale". Given he was very polite, I used my disgruntled husbands card to complete the purchase. I figured id have the first few deliveries and then eventually cancel, however after he had gone and I had time to look into the company, I saw all of these reviews!
The pushy sales tactics are wrong, and its a poor reflection of a company if they train their sales team to pursue people on their own doorsteps this way.
Also, to confirm the guy told me "this is not a subscription" but after reading these reviews, that is incorrect information.

I have now removed my husbands card details from the account (before he disowns me or refuses to give me his card ever again) cancelled all upcoming orders, I shall also attempt contacting the company tomorrow to cancel my account. If needs be, we will also block all payments via the bank.

Moral of the story, be strong and tell them "no" from the offset. If you feel youre being pressured, that's wrong and you should just shut the door

Standard no reply.The company said they emailed. The email was a copy of the reply! We are going round in circles. It sounds impressive when they say ‘Give us more information ‘

Please beware! A lovely girl turned up one evening from forty miles away: her task to secure business. She even ‘set up’ my one time purchase of orange juice that turned out to be a subscription. I have attempted to cancel this on line and even emailed customer service who have not replied.
I hate pushiness and should have been firmer and resent a deliberately complicated way of extricating myself from this sort of business. It is not transparent and the realisation that orange juice had been sat on my door step all day caused me to check my bank details to find the charge had been taken and the next one too.
I have removed my bank details so out of pocket on a bottle of cooked juice!

Please shoo their sales persons away

Please shoo their sales persons away , their services are shit . Somehow the person who knocked on my door managed to get me subscribed to this , and I was expecting the order to be delivered . But apparently they have delivered it to the next noor neighbour and when I called to enquire they refused to get my order delivered . Yes the refund was initiated but the question is your services are not reliable at all , your milkman can't read the address , and they will embarrass you in front of the whole family , pathetic service !!
