This is the best way to attain a 200hr YTT certification. They have live classes on Zoom to supplement what is online so you do not have to take a month off work and travel to another country. Teachers are very complete in the instructions and easy to understand. One of the best things is that you can review the classes when have time to pay attention and take in all the information. The philosophy and anatomy courses are really impressive and informative. I learned so much more about Yoga than I expected and am very happy with the whole experience.

I highly recommend this yoga teacher training school! The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and the overall experience was transformative and enriching.

Really great teachers who take their time and explain everything in detail. The course is laid out really clearly and it’s all easy to follow, progressing through a flow chart on your screen so you can see how far you have come and what you have left to do, as well as making it easy to pick up where you left off.
Every Sunday there is a live zoom call to go over form and techniques which is also very helpful and enhanced my practice greatly.

It is the best yoga school I could ever ask for. It was my first time in India and I was feeling anxious and lost… finding Vinyasa Yogashala was definitely one of the best things that happened to me

We all started the course as strangers but finished it as family.

I took the online 200h yoga teacher training at Vinyasa Yoga Shala, and I can truly recommend this course.
I have taken other YTTs parallel to this, and what I have wondered and liked the most about this course was how much care they have put into providing an excellent and thorough foundation for you about having or leading a yogic life. They want you to be a real yogi first, and then go to a teaching, which I can sympathize with.
A warning: the materials are sometimes intense (also due to their nature) so especially if you are a highly sensitive person you might want to take more breaks during the teachings.
A problematic area or something that it is good to keep in mind if it comes to expectations: do not expect the usual western approach to communication rather a more laid back albeit friendly Indian one. Having said that I think it would be a good idea sending out a reminder when the teaching videos/materials would be deleted/when they expire, as well as having a consistency about class communication (sometimes - but rarely- the classes were skipped but there was no notification was sent about it).

I took the 200hr online YTTC and it was a great experience. The course was was fantastic and covered a great number of topics in great detail. Communication from the team was very good and I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a course you can do at your own pace and fit around other commitments

My yogic journey started with offline 200h YTT but on the very first (also rainy) day off I slipped and fractured my toes. Everyone was preparing for exams by the time I learned to walk again... However, whatever happened I'm grateful for the entire experience, all the support and blessings that come along. Receiving access to online training was one of them. At your own pace, you can lay a truly solid foundation. I was delighted with the Hatha and Yin Yoga sequences specifically designed for certain objectives and unexpectedly fell in love with the Ashtanga sequence. Such a complex subject as Anatomy was bold and very well explained. The manual is different and I love it yet additionally you get some amazing books in PDF (!!) format. If I could go back in time I would start with online training first and then would follow up with 300h training in person. You still do not want to miss that offline experience which is priceless - such an authentic path along with like-minded yogis in the capital of Yoga!! The intense schedule will test, purge, and strengthen your body, mind and soul same time filling with emotions and experiences you just cannot get online. It adds completely new meaning, colours and inspiration to your practice. Even Mother Ganga, what a mysterious experience !! If you can, escape for a moment on your own to connect with it more deeply. Meditate. It will soothe and recharge your soul. In miraculous ways, it left my feet pain-free within 10 minutes. I still wonder… what a magnificent, unexplainable energy Ganga has !!

Whichever path you take may it be everything you look for and more! Yet I feel it's my mission to share details (just in case) to serve anyone in doubt/ in need, saving so much money and time:

1) health-wise, if things go wrong and you feel it might affect (delay, cancel) the entire purpose of your travel (like my case) your BEST adviser is YOUR EMBASSY. DO NOT DELAY and reach out immediately !!

2) if you arrive on eVISA - IT IS NOT EXTENDABLE + NO other options, NO MATTER OF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES! It's a business !!

3) You should seek professional advice BEFORE applying for any visa extension.

4) Whatever you try on your own, receiving a “no” from a Foreign Officer means even the embassy no longer can help. The only option left is to travel back home and start all over again...

5) You should report/register/prove your condition to local authorities ASAP, not when almost recovered. This would have been the only hope if done correctly and promptly.

6) CHOOSE YOUR VISA WISELY and have a safe journey!!

If you feel a calling it's there for a reason. It's not you that chooses Rishikesh, Rishikesh chooses you.. Even sometimes we might feel like not getting all we wanted, but definitely, we get all that is needed. And that IS the beauty!

I just finished my 200H YTT and I hardly recommend Vinyasa Yogashala! I Start this formation to have a better understanding of my practice and i learn so much more. That completely changes my vision of yoga. I discovered news practices but also I dive into the philosophy and the anatomy of yoga. I really enjoyed meditation and yin yoga during the classes.
I can only thank all the professors and Ashish for the great work and the knowledge they share with us. I did the formation online to be able to organise my time with my kid and my life. I was planning to go to Rishikesh so i definitely will choose Vinyasa Yogashala to continue with a 300H YTT. Thank you so much for your time and your experience. The online program was a perfect match for me. There is a lot to study and I like to study on my own. I finally have the feeling I know how to go further with my personal practice.

It is a very good experience ! So grateful that I had an opportunity to learn online how to teach yoga.
Classes were divided on several topics as Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa yoga, mantra, pranayama, meditation etc.

I didn't have any expectations although I was really looking forward to do this yoga course.
The schoolbuilding was brand new and my room very big and clean with hot water.

The level of the classes was very high and the teachers very professional.
Especially our mentor did everything to make us happy.

The excursions were great, I love the culture and the Indian people are so friendly.
It was a very long trip to get there and the program was highly intensive but it was worth while!

The only thing was that there was no heating in the yoga hall and that was very hard for my body, that's my only suggest for the future cause it was very cold ( January).

The food was great and healthy :)

Overall it's a fantastic school!

I spent this month at Vinyassa Yogashala completing 200 hour teacher training course. My experience was very positive. The syllabus for the course in well put together, and I took a lot of knowledge on board from each teacher. They are masters in their trade and all very different, in their own wonderful way.
My stay here was very humbling and my heart received plenty of love. I'm very greatful I chose this school and would recommend it to anyone wanting to extend their yoga knowledge further.

Very good teachers and teachings, this is the most important.

Although, the school is in the city, so always some noise from outside, the energy of the city, no nature nor silence. So maybe not the best option for someone who seeks for silence, retreat, introspection.
Lots of photos are done during the activities, which is nice, but in the social media we see mainly beautiful girls..
Also, the students of the option Kundalini Yoga were a bit surprised because -after looking the program on the website- we thought that we'd receive a curse very specialized in Kundalini, and deepen a lot into it. However, we shared most of the clases with the other curse (Vinyasa-Ashtanga), and had only 2 clases specific for kundalini.
Thank you anyway to the team, which is always there willing to listen and help, and the great teachers.
