5 weeks late on delivery from confirmed date
Velux emailed sales order confirmation with delivery date 9 weeks from order. Delivery shared with builder and roof works planned from 9 week date. When I followed up with Velux two weeks before due date, Velux told me there was delays and it would now be 14 weeks until delivery. Velux simply said there was nothing they could do and were not responsible for resulting builder down time.

Architect choice
I am an architect refurbishing my own house. I have taken time to research the market to get high quality items within my budget.
I wanted an impressive rooflight with minimum framing for a contemporary side extension. The site is quite long and narrow so the main feature of this extension is the roof, Vario from Velux was an ideal specification.
The glazing is maximised and the framing is minimised. I achieved an uninterrupted stretch of 3m glazing. The insulated upstand gives peace of mind that the rooflight will maintain the integrity of the thermal and water performance.
The team I worked with at Velux Vario were exceptional. They were patient with my design iterations, they were always cheerful and helpful. The very tight site had restricted access so I opted for installation through their partnership with Velfit. I don’t think we could have installed such huge pieces of glass without this service. They worked well with our contractor so we avoided any scratches or damage that could otherwise have occurred through construction.

Bit of a Sham
Vario's representative called our office accusing our boss of making an order which he does not do and got into an argument with the bosses son. It took many phone calls to confirm the order. We still have no confirmed delivery date!

We take your concerns seriously, miscommunication and misunderstandings can occasionally happen, looking at this order there was some confusion if this was one or two units however, it was in fact an unlimited window that was required (2500 x 1000 in x2 modules). We regret the inconvenience this has caused.
Regarding the order and delivery status, we can see the order was placed on 4/9 and delivery is expected on 19/10.

Very helpful knowledgeable staff on thd Vario department. We were a big confused when our builder arranged for rep to come and check sizes and that he was from the commercial arm of the company which was quite independent of Vario. We still have to see how good the support is.
