Great service I had an issue with one of my items and reached out to the customer service department I immediately got a response from them and was provided a replacement. Loving the service and the products are great the company is very reliable. CSR rep you guys are awesome.

Bought helmets / they didn’t fit, so bought more and the lights and the turn signal.. customer support has been quick and helpful throughout the process. And the helmet and lights are great!!!

Excellent service. After 8 months of use, my Torch backpack developed a significant rip in the inner liner. I dropped their customer service a line and they sent a replacement bag within 2 weeks. A big shout out to Maria on the Unit 1 end of the line for her help.

I wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Maria, as she has been amazing to work with on my issue syncing my remote to my helmet.
I purchased a Faro helmet and remote a while ago and trying to sync it to the app myself turned out to be a challenge, even though I am not new to owning various devices/gadgets and given that I am in the IT field it should have been easy.
After multiple failed attempts, I reached out to Unit1 support and Maria quickly realized that the issue was with the 2 replacement remotes and not user error.
After receiving the remote yesterday, I charged the remote fully and made an attempt today and it worked.
Thank you for all of your assistance in determining the issue, as well as for your patience in trying to get the remote and Faro helmet to sync up with the app. I truly appreciate it and will be excited to use my helmet once the weather gets warm soon. THANK YOU! ☺️

After having some issues with my products from unit1, they reached out to me for a discussion about it. Maria from unit1 was friendly and willing to listen to issues I'd been having and supported me with the warranty claims. I was previously upset as I had waited a long time for the product when I backed it so when it didn't work as expected was frustrated. Maria and the team though we're very helpful, and she could tell when something had not worked as expected and has supported me to rectify this. Thanks again, amazing customer support.

Unique as I purchased the Torch 1 backpack, additional lights, and mounting kit to use with a wheelchair and not a bike. Very pleased with the quality. A year of daily use and the rucksack is still in great condition. The lights are functional and provide great illumination.
I recently had an accident and the light clip (part of the mounting kit) was damaged. Ordinarily, this cannot be purchased on its own. But the team at UNIT 1, especially Sofia and Maria went the extra mile to check if an exception could be made and provide a brilliant compromise. Excellent service.
Over time I would like to see the app that controls the lights be a little more streamlined. It's functional. But feels like there are more menus/button presses to change modes or temporarily turn the lights off than necessary, but I am very aware it's still in BETA development.

What a nice helmet the aura is! Breezy and sturdy. 6 weeks ago i had an accident and the helmet kept me safe! Nice touch is that i go 20% discount for a replacement! Good customer care!

I bought Unit 1 Aura helmet + photochromic lens & 2 pairs of ligths + mounting almost 6 months ago
I find the design of the helmet quite good and good ventilation.
I started my experience having the wrong size of helmet, so I have been charged additionally to change size. Fair enough it was mentioned but clearly I made the measurements as required and I fell in the wrong category according to data...
Next to that, this helmet is far too heavy, the lens doesn't get to go below the eyes enough to really protect.
Additionally, for the cost, I find the product not finished enough (the on/off button impossible to push easily at medium temperature and fingers breaking at winter - 0°C) temperature).
And last, the application doesn't accept to pair the full set of products I bought : 1 helmet + 4x lighting... Clearly I wouldn't bought all these additional lightings if I knew that.... Also, the app is complex to use, the user friendliness is low.
All-in-all, to me, it's a very costly experience for an average product...

When I decided to buy the helmet. I was unsure if everything would work out as most internet companies are good at taking the money but delivery normally falls short.
Not the case here, I bought a medium in black with the visor. The visor came first. I thought this would be start of a problem however, when I contacted the company I first got an email and then a phone call explaining that the visor came from one logistic company and the helmet would be delivered from a different location.
I used their tracking service and could see the progress until the helmet was delivered.
Now for me this is the best helmet I’ve owned. The integrated lighting with ability to contact my family if an accident happened plus a really good fit has made this worth the extra cost.
There is no substitute for quality and workmanship.

Since I didn’t have the Mount Pack and wanted to use the lights, I finally figured out how to mount lights front and rear with the bands provided in the original package. Turns out, this was an excellent solution for me. I love the lights and how easy it is to control my Unit 1 lights and my Unit 1 helmet from the handlebar turn signal buttons. The equipment is beautifully designed! Though the prices a slightly higher than other helmets and lights, Unit 1 offers premium value--well worth the investment. Two thumbs up!

Granted, my Aura helmet, Smart Lights and Remote are shiny new so usage/durability is an unknown. I'm a tech Luddite so have no sillifone for the app and so make do with the manual/off-line setup. But thanx to Laura, Maria and the extensive YouTube tutorial library I got it done and appear to be up and pedaling.
I understand why newer products are app-dependent. But when one needs a $$ sillifone subscription to get the full benefit of product features, it's unfair both to those with equal capability of a paid-for laptop/tablet as well as those without any connectivity who stretch simply to afford the product itself. Why can't I enjoy the full spectrum of a product's features without them? I recently bought a new Bosch dishwasher and a VANTrue dashcam, and both withhold functionality and are update-dependent on the assumption of the buyer having a sillifone!
Nonetheless, after innumerable gripes at and exchanges with the ever-patient Laura and Maria I've at least got basic functionality of the Unit 1 products, I would like to lengthen the turn signal interval and take advantage of the day/night settings on the lighting...but I'll make do, and thanks to Laura's and Maria's saintly patience with some of my fumble-fingered (I've a second-gen. prosthetic left hand/billyclub) issues I'm very pleased.
But for the rest of us Luddites and billyclubbers, consider a pre-shipment option:
1. Present (how is up to Unit 1) a complete feature table for each item/combination with "for instance" videos, and let a customer choose features for their "ensemble".
2. Pre-configure the customer's items accordingly before shipment.
3. If a customer later finds the settings to be inappropriate, build a tailorable and downloadable "fixer app" to work through Wi-Fi or Bluefang laptop, tablet or...yeah, OK, anybody else's sillifone for a one-time retune of customer's whole schmear, to confirm the updates and then optionally self-destruct. Maybe for a small fee to avoid "Gee, I dunno, maybe not.." reruns. Or they can go back to the defaults on their own dime. It wouldn't do much for those with no access to webbie stuff, but it covers a lot of us who are on the fringe. And maybe someday when you have retailers, they might be able to do it in-house.
Oh, and if you pull it off, send a note to the dimbulbs at Bosch and VANTrue about how you did it...for a not-so-small fee, of course.
But for now, I suggest two things, first for Unit 1:
1. Truth in Advertising--say right up front, 'Hey, for maximum benefit from Unit 1 products, you should have a sillifone, laptop or tablet to run the (optional?) app." (presuming you've re-tweaked the app to work on those latter two in the meantime...).
2. Include an illustrated one-page "quick start" crib sheet with every product so one doesn't have to run to a (hopefully available) phone, laptop, tablet or PC to run videos. The online info. doesn't always agree (a hazard when you put out so much info, even when it's good). We've become a world of non-readers, so a brief, to-the-point, ACCURATE one-age "how-to" is reassuring. The first two points might be #'s 3 & 4, below.
-- and for customers, the following:
3. Fully charge your new products first, then...
4. Reset any/all items one buys to zero with the ubiquitous "8X" on/off button press sequence upon receipt of the item/s. Do this before attempting either on- or off-line configuration (It seemed to do the trick for me when I had problems getting the Remote and Smart Lights to "agree" off-line and work together.)

After a little research and reading reviews, I opted for The Aura in medium. Quick shipping but Aura was too small. I have 60 cm head and I was between sizes. Unit 1 quickly got return label for me and in less a week I returned medium and received new large helmet. Diego and Maria were great in customer service. Questions quickly answered and worries quelled. Highly recommend Unit 1. BTW the gear is fantastic.
