The good things first: we were able to book with about 2 weeks' notice for a fair price. Everyone I spoke to was super helpful, they threw in some boxes for free & delivered them for a small cost and the friendly movers showed up on time.

Unfortunately, there was something that I felt frustrated at the time about. It didn't impact us financially but could have cost other customers money at an already stressful time. While it had no financial impact on us, it caused a lot of stress on moving day.

My invoice had all the pertinent information. My wife and I both looked over it and prepared accordingly. The day of, the movers moved everything into the van and told us that as a reminder, the full payment was due in cash before they moved our items into the new home. I brought up the invoice and the mover pointed to a block of black text against navy blue background specifying 'Remaining Amount to be paid in cash on the day of move.' This was easier to see on my laptop (though still difficult) but I had to zoom in on my phone to be able to read it. It was not obvious, and I was frustrated that this had never been verbally communicated to me before that point.

I have now spoken to the company about this and received an apology and a promise of a discount on our next move, but rushing to the bank when we were dealing with a house move that was already stressful due to unrelated issues was a nightmare.

While in our case it definitely added to the stress, it did not impact the amount we paid due to the aforementioned unrelated issues. However, taking into account that if the movers have to wait at the new property for over 30 minutes there is a charge that increases every hour, it could have financially impacted another customer.

This was the only issue, but it was a nasty surprise that impacted our experience.

I would recommend UK Mover with the caveat that you must read your invoice carefully on a laptop. The two guys who moved our things were friendly and professional. All the people I spoke to were friendly and professional, and if you read the invoice carefully, you should be okay.

Our experience with UK movers was stress free and value for money. The porters packed everything and took apart larger items of furniture and re-assembled at at our new offices. The admin staff were very helpful during the whole process and we would highly recommend their services.

I was given a quote based on pictures sent via Whatsapp.

Even though I had sold two chests of drawers in the meantime, on the day I was told our belongings were too heavy for the van and we risked getting a ticket.

I was given the option of an additional van at extra cost or to leave a wardrobe behind. I refused to pay extra as I had already paid for all my furniture to be moved and
given the circumstances and the time constraints, I had no other choice than to leave my wardrobe behind.

The new wardrobe cost me £500.

I do not recommend them at all and wish I had paid more attention to previous reviews, interesting how so many reviews when left during the first lockdown in 2020 when we couldn't even leave our homes.

Horrible service - broke expensive furniture and are now ignoring messages. Stay as far away as you can.

Absolutely not fit for purpose. Their luton vans cannot take more than 1,000 kg load as their van is only a single axis. Totally unsuitable to take the weight of a home removal. The Luton vans need to be double axis to cope with normal 3.5 tonne weight. They'll get stopped by the police (or say they have) and charge you an extortinate amount extra if you want to see your belongings again. This is their reply to our complaint sent via email on 6th October 2022. All in all it cost over £2,300 to move a few items which were held to ransom, until we paid an extra £816 or not see the items again. The job was already paid for in full upfront. Their EMAIL response as follows - ''Our quotation was based on the list of items to take from one address to another with one Luton van 3.5 tonnes and 2 men team. Based on that contract we provided you with 2 men and a Luton van 3.5 tonne. We were doing the job as per the agreed quote and we have not asked you to pay a single penny extra until the police stopped the van on motorways and did not allow the driver to continue due to overloading. Your goods were more than 1000 KG and therefore the police asked us to send 2nd van otherwise they would not allow the driver to leave. They have also issued a £200 fine.
Because we had to pay £200 fine and also arrange a 2nd van and a driver from a local company, we had no choice but to contact you with the update and explain to you all the situation and to let you know the extra cost for the transportation of your goods due to the weight limit. It was agreed with you at the time that there will be an additional cost and the goods are overloaded and not within a legal limit.

The additional amount you have paid is only to cover the costs of the extra van and the fine we had to pay for doing your job. '' BEWARE, THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SCAM! It would appear this happens frequently. We didn't agree to the extra charge, we had NO choice but to pay to get our elderly relatives furniture back! Use a reptuable company belonging to a trade association or risk getting scammed by a company that promotes fake reviews with no trade association membership to back up fair trading law. So many lies in their response! Police don't confirm roadside fines! Why say we rang them when we didn't? THE FINE THEY SENT PROOF OF WAS DATED THE DAY BEFORE OUR REMOVAL!!! They advertise removals for Europe and UK. You'll get a tatty Luton single axis, not fit for home removals, with no tailgate. They don't wrap or protect mattresses, although we paid for this to be done! The mattresses were badly soiled from the dirty van floor. Their response to this review is full of lies. One phone call to challenge them on the day is not several. They had a list of items, no heavy white goods, driver was happy with the load. No mention of another van. I've posted images as evidence on Google reviews complete with the quote and listed items, to warn others. Customers are not responsible for their drivers police fines, or weighing furniture! Absolutely absurd! The state of the van they sent would attract police attention anyway. It didn't look roadworthy. Not the one pictured on their website. The checkatrade site is where they pay a subscription to advertise their company with fake reviews. They are deliberately misleading people for financial gain. They have been reported. I pride myself with honest factual reviews, I have no reason to lie. I try to help protect others from bad experiences or dodgy companies. Trying to save money for customers, what a joke! There are real reviews like mine with warnings against using this company on many sites. Customers have no reason to give fake stories. It's illogical. Readers, please save yourself immense stress by steering clear. Don't be fooled by impressive, misleading websites and fake review sites. Check what vans they'd be using, if single or double axis in accordance to the job weight wise. No one needs the anxiety and stress this company caused us and our elderly relative. Our stress levels went off the richter scale taking days to recover. In addition, that awful sick feeling of having been conned. Everything was fine when they loaded up. They were well happy and very polite. Later, prior to delivery, its a different story. They also have a furniture shop and storage. I wonder if thats where they take furniture to, from customers who can't pay.

Really great experience. Managed to book me in in under 24 hours at no extra cost, with very fair pricing. My movers were punctual, friendly and professional, and took great care of all my items. They even dissembled and reassembled my larger furniture which was such a timesaver. A totally stress-free experience. Do not hesitate!

First I should say the experience of actually booking the service was excellent, whoever operates the whatsapp does a great job but unfortunately that's where it ends.

Before booking, I sent a video of the flat listing all the items that needed moving and showing the clothes etc in the wardrobe. I asked several times if the quote was accurate based on the video to be told 'I think we have most things'. I also at this point asked if the quote included VAT to which I was told yes. I had listed all large items but obviously hadn't included the specific detail of which clothes.

I had booked a packing service, removals, delivery and end of tenancy clean. I checked in advance if the cleaner came with their own equipment, to which i was also told yes.

On the day the two packing and removal men arrived but didn't bring the wardrobe boxes. So all my clothes were shoved into normal boxes. I was then told they had used 8 more normal boxes than quoted for and would be charged £40. 15 boxes cost £50 so i don't know how that adds up.

One of the removal men was doing all the work whilst the other (Sam I think) was primarily on the phone to the boss. It was then it became clear he was telling the boss the job was bigger than quoted and I should pay more money. Bearing in mind I had sent a full video of all items. I was put onto the boss who asked for the money and when i questioned it, was told to 'be more grateful and say thank you' and that 'I should appreciate him'. At this point I felt very intimidated as a solo female but just wanted the job done.

It was shortly after that I was told the cleaning team was arriving without products or a hoover, despite me checking. I was told they could 'buy things in sainsbury's' which for the price, didn't seem sufficient so it was cancelled. I will now likely incur a cost with my landlord. No compensation was offered, other than a refund on the cost of the boxes & clean that wasn't conducted, I was only being consistently asked for more money.

On arrival at my destination, they would not unload the items until I had paid the balance which is fine. But Sam was busy writing down random numbers on a piece of paper despite the fact I had an updated invoice. We eventually agreed and I paid the amount by transfer (which was listed as an option on the invoice). 20 minutes later Sam told me I had to pay VAT, at this point i was stressed and paid. Despite the fact that I had clarified with the booking person that VAT was already included in the quote.

As I went to drive off, he came running after me saying the boss wanted another £40 but it was unclear why.

The whole experience was stressful, upsetting and unprofessional. The second driver did an amazing job and I should say I tipped them both £40 in cash. My issue was with whoever is managing the operation and trying to extort extra charges.

It seemed as though Sam was under pressure to find additional ways to charge more throughout the day. I have the messages to show where I ask if VAT is included and if 15 boxes will be enough in relation to the video. This company owes me money which I suspect I will never see again.

It is a complete scam and avoid at all costs.

Very polite customer service team. The movers were hard working, ready to help, polite and knew the job they were doing so well. No damage to my large and heavy furnitures.
Timings in delivering packing materials was all over the places, like 10 hours delay but on the day timing was spot on.
All in all very good and very competitive too

Guys were great. Fifteenth minutes late but they made up for it. Professional courteous polite and helpful. Got the job done with no fuss. Definitely highly recommended.

I’ve used this company from SE London to Kent. Very professional & definitely recommending it.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Won't go into massive detail. But main points are:
- Did not arrive on time.
- Quoted one type of van which we paid extra for and this isn't what turned up. Not providing the service they advised or quoted for.
- They broke our item.

Made a compaint and spoke to on the phone on 16th May and it's taken until 6th June with a written prompt from me to respond. Spoken to them since and currently they have no solution to the BAD SERVICE THEY PROVIDE DESPITE ME MAKING VERY CLEAR TO THEM I WANT A REFUND.

I have advised them I would write this - I am fuming with them as a company.

Bad company - DO NOT USE.

UK Mover were great, we can't thank them enough. We moved from London to Yorkshire. We weren't sure if the contents of our flat would fit in 1 van, so they organised for a second to be on standby in case we needed it. The two porters were so hard working and considerate. They made sure all our stuff fit in 1 van by packing it with serious skill! Their energy was also impressive. Thank you.

Removals team came on time and started to load stuff and dismantled all the furniture which I wanted.
Also at the destination unloaded the boxes where I wanted and assembled the furniture.
Nobody can beat uk removals on the pricing for sure.

Overall the boys did a good job I am very much impressed.

Good service, all our stuff was moved promptly and safely with no breakages. Prior to the day the company were also helping selecting the optimum van and crew size.

Slightly frustrating miscommunication with the length of time the team were booked for and waiting time due to delays picking up the keys however they were resolved on site.
