Whenever I called, got the same answer that they'll communicate when there's something new. Last time I talked with Reedhein, the customer service person wanted to argue about their responsiveness & said I was wrong to be upset and to have my expectations.

Since engaging with this organization, we have paid 2 years of maintenance fees since engaging with these guys...they don't seem to care; aren't being my advocate

We paid several thousands up front; then see NOTHING.

Recently account was given to another law firm; within 2 weeks they had letter to send. Maybe these guys will actually do something. Time will tell.

Look for other options before trying anything with this company.

Think of your experiences calling the cable company and double the negativity...this is worse & it costs thousands

I am a little torn about reviewing this company. I had them get me out of 2 timeshares - one in Cabo San Lucas Mexico and the other one in Montana - at an initial cost on a little over $6000. They got me out of the one in Mexico within a couple of months. I had to pay a $500 cancellation fee to the resort but once I paid that they let me out with no problem. Makes me wonder if I had just called the resort and asked to get out of the contract if I would have had the same result. The Montana resort was a whole different issue. Getting out of that resort took over 3 years. TET assigned a contact who was supposed to keep me informed with monthly updates. I got updates for the first few months, then they stopped. Whenever I called to ask for an update, the woman assigned to my case acted like I was bothering her. When she did finally update me, it was usually something like " The lawyers are working on it." When they did finally call me to tell me I was out of the contract, it turns out that all they did was sell it to another owner for $100, and I did not even get the $100. TET told me that the money went to the resort for processing the paperwork. I paid several other fees to TET throughout the 3 years. When I signed the contract with TET they said the $6000+ that I paid them was all I would have to pay. When I asked them about all the other fees and what it said in the contract, they told me they meant that I would not have to pay any more fees to THEM and that sometimes resorts wanted various payments to release owners from their contracts. Also, initially, they told me to stop paying my maintenance fees as paying them would hinder the process of getting me out of my contract because it would make it look like I still wanted the timeshare. After a few quarters of not paying I started to get threatening letters from collection agencies. TET always told me to forward the letters to them and they would get them stopped. They never did stop coming until I was out of the contract. TET said the resort had a right to collect the fees and send them out for collection if I did not pay them.The worst part about not paying the maintenance fees was that I could not bank or use my week. In the end I was required to pay back all of the past due fees before they would release me from my contract. So I lost out on three years of vacation time that I could have used had I kept paying the maintenance fees. All in all, I would say that you are better off listing your timeshare on Ebay for free and if that does not work, then try TET.

This last fall we contacted the Exit Team to help us get rid of this burden, that we called a timeshare. Similar experience that others have had. I did get out of my timeshare but only because I started the process myself. I also have experienced gross lack of communication, slow responses, and the letter the representative wrote-I could have done that myself. When I asked her to put a little more bit into it she was all enthusiastic about it, but I never received the follow up letter. Wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt I asked them to send me a log of action items for my account. That’s when all communication ceased. Very disappointed that they are unable to fulfill their part of the bargain after we’ve paid so much.

After using the Timeshare Exit Team, I am completely satisfied. After a few years of timeshare ownership I knew it wasn’t ever going to work out for us. For some people it does, it didn’t for my wife and I. The Team was excellent to work with, explaining everything we could expect to transpire during the process. The cost was explained upfront. Our family had a timeshare that we enjoyed but when it came to the end of use, what do you do with the thing?

I signed up with this company 3 years ago and paid $15,000 up front. They guaranteed to get me out of my timeshare in 2 years. If they did not, the contract stated 100% money back guarantee. They were not able to get me out. Contract expired a year ago and still no refund. They send me an e-mail saying someone will contact me but that hasn't happened and is just a stall tactic. I wouldn't recommend this company at all.

They did get back to me quickly after my "bad" review but their solution after not being able to get me out after 3 years is for me to sign another 1 year extension. If they can't get it done in 3 years, why will 1 more year make any difference. So far, their 100% money back guarantee is worthless. I have asked for my money back and they are refusing.

5 years ago, I found myself unemployed suddenly after making $200,000 annual salary from a company that had gone out of business, stuck with 2 timeshares and borrowing money from my low-income father to barely keep up on my mortgage and utilities.
