Hilt is well made

Hilt is well made. It is a very nice core. The xenopixel sd card was easy to program with starwars fonts.
I also like the stand that came with it and thank you for the hard case.

I’m not here to slander your product

I’m not here to slander your product. I can’t speak for that because you make it a living hell to even get it in the first place. I’ve had to call my bank and change my info 20 different times because it keeps getting flagged as fraud when I try to purchase and even had my card frozen as a result. Idk how you process payments but whatever it is, I’m sure it’s inconvenient for a lot of people and surely there has to be a better method you could explore. And after reading some reviews, I also really don’t appreciate how you decide to go after people who leave negative reviews and make them feel like scum for voicing their opinions. These people trust you to to provide a good product and service for what you charge, and they’re entitled to answers and respect. Just please for the love of god just make payments easier and do some things better.

Hi Sam. I don't make it a living hell, that's a banking issue I'm absolutely also a victim of. That's because my business and your bank are not in the same country and it tends to raise a flag with some cards.

Had you asked me in the chat I would have explained and maybe you'd have found a workaround, sometimes these things get easily sorted by opening your bank app or asking the bank to let the transaction go.

But instead of asking me or considering this wasn't my desire (how could I want to make transactions hard? it's really not productive, please understand I'm more a victim of this than you are) you still come to leave a 1* review and actually take the opportunity to blame me for how I actually humanly react to those type of reviews. The irony here is not lost on me.

I invite you to go back looking at those replies of mine you didn't like and you'll see a common topic: either it comes from people who had an issue and never considered asking for my support (which I absolutely give, you can check the many positive reviews attesting to it), or they ordered an accessory that wasn't compatible with their saber (most often a saber I didn't sell them, and it's well explained in the description). I find it disheartening when it happens like this, but hey... what can I do.

A very non-corporate response might throw you off, it is also why a lot of people felt like being taken seriously when they had issues, You could also read it like this. There's never disrespect when I reply to those bad reviews.

It's ok to have missed an info or need some guidance, that's what I'm here for. So it hurts even more when people buy a coupler for a saber from another brand and leave a 1* as if it was my responsibility (even though I throroughly describe the accessories as being only compatible with my catalog) or those who have an easy issue to fix or something they don't understand and won't even consider coming to ask for help. Probably people are so used of getting abandoned after the buying act... dunno.

Regarding your payment problem, had you come to me on the chat I would have explained that this happens and if you're interested in the details that's because my business is based in France, so then is the card payment processor. And that's not my choice, that's just how it legally works. I do have SEZZLE for USA and Canada that does process payments locally. But for standard credit card payments it is often considered an international transaction that some banks will see as potentially risky and will raise a safety shield on your behalf. Often you can either control this via your banking app, or ask your bank to let it through, or use higher security transaction methods like 3D Secure or Apple Pay which add 2FA safety protocols that usually fare better.

And you're right, it is inconvenient to a lot of people, trust me, I wish it was easier. But I'm no payment processor, it's so out of my control.

My Go To Supplier

However, the customer service is great and the prices are excellent. I have been very happy with each of my lightsabers. The overall value is worth the extra wait time.

Can you please be more specific? You can always reach out to me on the support chat on the website. Before or after ordering. I can't guess what your issues are but if you have a Nexus VHC saber the coupler you ordered should work without a hassle.

If you have some other kind of saber I'm sorry, I write detailed descriptions to stipulate what it's compatible with (basically only the sabers we sell that are noted VHC in the name), I'd understand if you'd ordered it thinking it would work with something else but it shouldn't warrant a 1 star review against me and my business.

Very Satisfied

Got two 32" dueling sabers, so they had to be packaged custom and shipped from China right after Chinese New Year. Sabers are super fun to play with and look/feel amazing. Arrived in Michigan, USA in 20 days. About $350 after shipping (for two) so I feel the price was very fair.

Excellent customer service

I accidentally purchased the wrong size and was easily able to email and get it changed with no worries, with good customer service. shipment was faster than expected and the lightsaber is excellent for the price.

Too complex and with inconveniences

The replica is quite good, but the lightsaber is too difficult to configure as everything has to be done with a single button (colour, character and sound). The instructions are generic and not specific to the lightsaber purchased, making it even more difficult to configure. The lightsaber must be disassembled to charge the battery, which is an additional inconvenience because it does not last very long. They do not warn that customs fees are not included in the prize.

I'm sorry you didn't feel immediately comfortable operating the saber. I do make the most to inform properly on all fronts. Right after ordering you have received (via email) a link to a "First Steps" video playlist if it's your first saber and need more guidance to operate.

On this same youtube channel I do make lots of tutorials that you may find useful.
On the saber page there are ratings for multiple things, one of them being "Maintenance" and it is rated 1/5 with info saying "This saber boasts a unique custom electronics core, complex to disassemble. Charging port is on the core, access requires removal/opening of a part of the hilt.". Again here it is to provide the utmost transparency as the Dooku replica is very different from most other straight hilts.

By the way if you're not fully comfortable with operating a single button for all settings, you have the mobile app, once you've set all you wanted the way you want it, you won't need much operating through the button. The user manual is generic for dueling hilts, hence the video tutorials to help you understand specifics for replica sabers. But the electronics functions are the same throughout ALL hilts, so no worries to have here.

Regarding customs it's usually paid upon delivery for international orders, and informed in all our shipping pages and policies so to avoid any unhappy surprise. Shipping origin and details are always shown before adding to cart. There's nothing positive about being surprised by taxes and customs, so I do make sure to provide ample information I'm sorry it wasn't clear enough.

I Loved Everything But...

I loved everything about the saber itself. My only complaint is that it came with a nice carrying case, but it didn't come with foam inserts to secure the hilt and blade in the case. It was recommended to me that I should use the cardboard boxes that the different parts came in to secure things in place, which seemed a bit odd to me.
