Love Mark's teaching style. Well formulated lessons. Lots of variety.

Having only limited time to practice and learn the bass, I have to say Talking bass is fantastic! I learnt bass for a year doing another on line course and got some great foundations but Talking bass has accelerated my knowledge and playing techniques no end.
From the courses to learning songs absolute top draw. Keep up the great work Mark.

I've been playing bass for several years and have Grade 3 Conservatory piano music theory training, but wanted to improve my sight reading skills for bass. I've been watching Mark's YouTube channel for a couple of years, and have recently signed up for the sight reading course and walking bass courses. I'm several weeks in now and love the content, process and presentation format. The downloadable reference material is invaluable and Mark's style is approachable and enjoyable. The program is very well structured and adds progressively to each lesson. This is the best site I've found that has a quality, theory based training program. Highly recommend the program and courses to all levels of bass playing.

Mark is a superior teacher. His technical playing ability is far better than most teachers. He explains everything of importance in a few different ways, in order to get a better overall understanding from all students.

I like the music theory lessons and all the exercises to practice are great and help develop your playing.

Great lessons and the man covers them in detail with thoughtfulness, pleasure, and humor to top it off. I learned so much, not only Bass (which is not 'my' primary instrument), but on MUSIC in general! That was key for me. I was able to translate what he taught (theory and all) on piano and guitar. Thank You Mark! Keep it up, and more lessons please!!

Best Bass Site on the web! Mark is always coming straight to the point without talking to much bla and blub that has nothing to do with Bass playing like other online sites do. ( I don't wanna mention names here. That would be unprofessional.) Some courses are great as a refresher, especially for Bass players like me, who picked up the Bass again after some years of absent.

As a drummer i always loved the Bass Guitar as well. Finally at 41 i bought a Bass and found Mark online and three years later i owe it all to Mark for keeping me passionate and motivated on the Bass! His own passion for the Bass and his extreme knowledge and teachings are top notch! From Jazz and Classical to Metal! A music theory expert! Thanks Mark!

I am an old beginner with no pretensions, but I follow your all lessons and for all levels. It's admirable the way you teach, and for me, you're the best teacher. I follow other channels where the show is predominant, but I prefer yours classes, without any doubt.
