Hi Tom. I think you're referring to the option to cover the transaction fees which come with every card transaction, but normally you don't see it because it's hidden from the person making the payment. We decided to show the cost and give people the option of paying it, and indeed most people making a payment / donation do opt to cover, thus making it attractive to individuals and charities who are using Strikepay. Feedback from Strikepay users has been very positive overall around this option and thank you for your feedback also, but please remember if you get an opportunity to use Strikepay again in the future that you can opt out of the fees very easily.

We don't require anyone to install or app or share details with our service in order to make a payment or leave tip. We don't save your details to protect your privacy.
People mostly pay with Apple Pay or Google pay -- if you use those methods, there is nothing for you to remember and your transactions are secured by biometrics or two factor pass codes.
If you use a card, your browser usually saves your details locally and securely on your device and those saved details can be used to fill in most of the card details when you return to pay again.
Based on his feedback we will look into how to make Strikepay better for repeat users.

We do try to make the service affordable and we offer the option for the tipper to cover the cost. In general the tippers cover the cost for the server (9 out of 10 people do).
