I was directed to this website to purchase a spare part for my Ryobi Hedge trimmer in June. Ordered on line and paid the amount shown. I did not hear anything for over 2 weeks so I messaged, James Duffin replied the part was out of stock and expected to arrive end of July. This was unacceptable so I have tried to cancel the order and require a full refund. I have not heard anything, it appears they are not answering my messages. Had I read the reviews before placing the order I would have gone elsewhere as it appears to be a common practice of taking peoples money up front and not having the items in stock.

This is the first time l have used this company but placing an order was fast with no hassles James took my order and processed the part l required keep up the good work and once my part has arrived l will spread the word about this company.

I am not one for writing reviews, but when I do I attempt to stay as neutral as possible

To start with the positives, it's very easy to order from the site. I managed to find the parts needed for my tools fairly easily, and I can't imagine a way for it to be any easier.

The price of the parts I ordered were more than I thought, but was better than that alternative of replacing the tool itself.

Now to the not so good part...

I ordered two parts on 09/06/2025 and they finally arrived on 19/07/2025. There wasn't an indication on the site that it would take this long. It didn't say that it would have to be ordered from the supplier, which would be a good thing for the company to advertise on parts they currently do not have in stock. I am fortunate that it was not for a tool I urgently needed.

I reached out to customer service and in all fairness to them, they were sympathetic and explained as to why it would take a bit longer (as it needed to be ordered in.) I think for next time that they need to order something in, it would be a worthwhile offer from the company to send the part straight to the customer from the factory, as opposed to themselves and then on to the customer (to save on time whilst already delayed.)

I have another order which was placed on 17/06/2025 which has not been shipped or arrived yet. Again same situation on it not being listed as not in stock. Unfortunately this is for a tool which I use a fair bit, and on 21/07/2025 I still do not have this.

I also feel as if the shipping charge is too much. I paid £4.99 for two clamping flanges for an angle grinder to be delivered. For reference they are around the size of a two pound coin. They were shipped in a tiny padded letter. They label it as "Best Way" which I would not claim that Royal Mail Second Class is the Best Way.

Overall,

The waiting time wasn't great, the price was acceptable but not amazing. The customer service did respond in a timely manor. The part that came was correct and works.

On the 7th July I purchased the ‘Whatsapp Video Inspection Service’.

I have a Ryobi chainsaw which I need fixing and I was going to take it to a local dealer to fix but I thought I’d do some research. I’m trying to get better at fixing things myself and when I stumbled across this website I was looking at how much parts would be once I had my chainsaw diagnosed. At the bottom of the parts page I read “Help Diagnose / Repair your Tool -
Not sure what Is wrong with your machine or need help with the installation of a part you purchased”

Excellent!! Just what I wanted without leaving my home. Then I could purchase the bits from the website and fix my chainsaw.
2 weeks later and sporadic messaging from some chap called James Duffin, firstly trying to sell me a piece that had nothing to do with what I thought was the problem, I still have not received the WhatsApp video call I purchased. I have missed out on 2 weeks of being able to cut the firs at the back of my garden. I’m out of pocket and somewhat disgruntled that this company / person is outright denying me the product I’ve purchased.

Not sure it takes 2 weeks to arrange a video call which makes me feel this is a scam to try to sell you bits you don’t need for your machine.

I asked James if he could help me with a replacement accessory for my Mother in law’s Ryobi pathway cleaner and he was most helpful. He advised that they are out of stock currently but has put it on back order to be delivered asap

I ordered an item on May 30th. They were selling it despite not having it in stock.
I chased it a few times on email and got told they were awaiting it. It finally arrived on July 11th. Do not use this company. They should not selling items they don't have in stock.

I needed to order some new spare parts for my Ryobi Patio cleaner. James the sale's advisor was on hand to help me out. He made sure i was ordering the correct parts and explained things very clearly as to what i required. I found James to be very Helpful and curtious.
I would recommended James to any future buyers of Sparetoolparts. I would also recommend Sparetoolparts

I messaged on their website email 29/05/25 to confirm "in stock" no reply. I called their mobile number it was answered and confirmed x1 clutch drum in stock, i made the order following this confirmation, later the same day i get an email indicating not in stock will take 5-10 days, i messaged to cancel no reply, since have called 30/05/25 no reply and messaged multiple times. Total refund requested £53.65 Currently asking PayPal to help with refund. Hi James

I message several times with no reply, i even called your number and the 0333 lefted a message no reply, your message even stated for a quicker response email i did no reply. Your website tells use that a dedicated member of staff will help when an order is made?

When you checked the stock i asked to cancel no reply?

Communication is very important to me you website show lots of parts what percentage are in stock.

I previously submitted a review giving the company a low star rating as I placed an order then received a number of emails stating the part was not in stock but they had ordered it, then I got emails stating they were still waiting for the part. I asked for a refund, this has now been placed in my bank and I have had correspondence from the company stating they will inform me when the part arrives. I intend to honour this order when the part arrives as it appears to me the company have acted with integrity, it is obviously a product delivery issue from the EU.
Apologies for previous low star rating I do not know how to remove it!
But I hope this will make amends.

As a large number of previous reviews have stated, it appears this company “ Claim they have stock available”, however once I placed my order, as others have said, I got a very rapid response stating the part was not in stock but expected it soon.
Several days later another e mail saying “ We have not forgotten we are still attempting to get part from the manufacturer”.
I have asked for my money to be returned as there is no “ Expected date” for the part. Result “ Silence”.
I think I will have a fight on my hands to get my money returned.
Please be aware before you part with your money to this company.

When ordering, the product was said to be in stock, but during the delivery it turned out that the product was not in stock. The product arrived 1 year and 4 months later. Stars for answering the survey and the product arrived anyway.

Placed order on 4th March now 8th May still waiting for my item after payment was made. Requested refund of my money but no response.

The process was quick and easy, with the help of the staff member, knowing what tool and part required once given all the relevant information.

James was very helpful in identifying and purchasing my spare parts for my Milwaukee angle grinder, very pleased with the service would recommend his company
