Love their products when bed bath and beyond had it in stock. They dealt with the headaches of ordering with this company. I am ordering directly from them and it has been a nightmare. You are not able to speak with a human at all. You can only speak with someone through a chat. Poor customer service. So sad. I love their products for sure. ❤️

If i could give no stars i would. I have had four of the sensor automatic cans and they each and every one failed. i less than a year. The lid stops working properly and no matter what you try it keeps happening. It will work a bit after resetting by removing power but then it starts again. Sometimes does not open. Sometimes opens and then slams shut on your hand while you are trying to scrape a plate etc. The only replacement part is a complete new lid at almost the cost of a new can. Over $125. These things are garbage not garbage cans. The concept is great but no reliability and they have no support.
Don’t get an autoship subscription!!
I signed up for a subscription and now regret it. Apparently no way to cancel. As many people have mentioned, you can’t speak to a human. I’ve tried all the other methods and just get a runaround. They tell me to log into my account and cancel from there, which is of course what I tried first, but my account doesn’t list my subscription so I can’t cancel it. Catch 22. Very disappointed in this company. Scamming people by making it hard to cancel a subscription is getting more and more common. Shame on you SimpleHuman.
3 Year Update - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I was horribly surprised to learn that my simple human trash can and, according to a customer service representative, all of their trash cans, do not have a flat base. Instead, the base has a hive-like design with deep pockets. These pockets are perfect for a hidden bug infestation. It was a nightmare.

Bonjour, modèle CW2024 acheté en 2020. Conception solide et facile à nettoyer. Après 3 ans, problème d'ouverture (ça peut arriver), affaiblissement du plastique de la pédale (à renforcer ou pas de chance ?). Mail au S.A.V., retour dans les deux jours avec une liste de pièces à fournir. Retour le lendemain avec remplacement. Le sacs sont très pratique et solide, le prix est de 0,50€/sac au plus cher (petit paquet anti-odeur). Avant j'achetais une poubelle de m**** à 30€ par ans, maintenant j'ai une super poubelle avec des super sacs et un super S.A.V. et cela pour 10 ans !!! Donc, l'investissement est équilibré et surtout durable. Merci

Worst CustomerService
Their customer service has gone down tremendously. Without going into detail, years ago they provided amazing customer service on an item that broke a year after purchase. Now, customer service doesn’t care when anything is wrong and you’ll need to follow up several times just to get an unsatisfactory response. I used to be a big fan of their products and own several items - but will never purchase from them again. Sad to see a company decline so rapidly.

I purchased a product and signed up as a member based on their advertisement that I would receive 10% off the FIRST purchase price and the product would be delivered in 3 days. Order number sh2991139 and membership was successfully completed on Thursday April 20, 2023. Immediately after I submitted the purchase, I noticed the 10% discount was not applied. I immediately reached out to customer service through e-mail to alert them of that. Unfortunately, due to their poor customer service and lack of proper methods for customers to reach them (no telephone contact available), I have to wait 1 business day. Finally, today (Monday Apr 24), which makes it 2 business day from my inquiry about the discount, a representative reached out by email and informed me, as he put it a "10% discount towards a new product from our website" can be applied. Moreover, I also sent an email to the company inquiring that I have not received the product in 3 days as advertised. As of this complaint dated April 24, I still have not received the item as advertised. This makes it 3 days not counting the weekend. The company uses false advertising to lure customers for membership and add.insult to injury by offering poor customer service.

For a premium product this is really disappointing (awful) customer service.
I was ordering a replacement part (not available on Amazon) and the Simplehuman site defaulted the shipping address to my billing address and I failed to notice it until it was too late. My fault, but I immediately contacted Simplehuman.
I contacted them by chat and email within a minute after the order was made (they're West Coast and not available until noon in my time zone) to try and change the shipping address, but did not get a reply of any sort until more than 72 hours later - about the time that the item was delivered to the wrong address. There was plenty of time to alter the shipping location so that I could have had the item delivered to the house that needed it.
No apologies (or even an acknowledgement of the issue.) I had to order a second item to fix my problem, and then will have to deal with the original when I get to the other house...next month.

Just purchased a simplehuman soap dispenser from QVC.Tried to register online but to no avail.Rang simplehuman a person called Chloe answered the phone and cut me off before my explanation was given.I rang back and the same person answered.I asked if I could register my product but wasn't interested and told me to go back online to register,I said I was struggling but was not interested.This is probably the worst customer service I have dealt with.Some training on manners would help.

Purchased a pulse pump soap dispenser a little over 2 years ago.
No longer works as it doesn’t release after pressing down to dispense soap.
Issue was resolved but UNABLE to speak to someone on the phone at this company to get help.
I still believe that if I pay for a product, then I should be able to call someone at the company for help with said product.
Bad product design, disappointing customer support
Bought this trash bin from them: "small-butterfly-step-can-10l" at the price of 99€ in 2016. After 5 years the lid does not open properly anymore, making the system not very usable (needed to pry open the lid by hand to put trash in). Eventually went to website troubleshooting interface and purchased the replacement part suggested by the system (turned out to be the lid closure dampener, two basic pieces of plastic sold at 11€). When mounting the new part I realised that the problem was in the pedal lever itself that had bent over the repeated strain of pushing on it, so i straightened it by hand and mounted it back. The lid now opens properly again (until the pedal will bend again, metal is soft, and the part mechanical conception is not very good IMHO). I asked for a refund for the useless part they sold me (ticket #332577), and went into a never ending loop with customer support asking me to send 'a video of the bin'. Eventually no refund in sight, and no comment on the pedal's flawed design. So much for a product expected to last 20 years.

I LOVE this company! After owning our sensor mirror for 4 years we had a problem with a component. No problem! They honor their 5-year warranty and believe in repairing their products rather than simply disposing of them and sending a new replacement. Their repair process was simple and we were kept informed about the repair with frequent emails. A really good experience!

I would give it a zero if I could. While the products are very nice, there is absolutely no customer service. Tried to use the chat and just went in circles with it. So I submitted a request for reach out since my order was MIA and had stopped tracking days before. They say they will get back to you in 24 hours but what they actually do is send you links to things on their website and ask if that answered your question….uh no, not even close. No follow up has happened. There is no phone number to call. Just horrible. Not sure where the name simplehuman came from since you can’t find a human to talk to when you experience a problem. Maybe order and cross your fingers might be a more suitable name for their organization. Do not expect quick shipping or any kind of response if you order from them. They seem to over promise and under deliver.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service! I purchased a product on mid December of last year fir my wife’s birthdate in January and still did not get it. I have contacted them many tones snd each they keep telling me it will arrive in 2-3 weeks. Its now 3 months later. I have never seen such an incompetent company!
Talk about being unhelpful and treated like an idiot
Need a broken bin lid replacing. At the prices of the bins, it made sense to replace it. I was informed they were out of stock but would be back in in 3 months. After 3 months, I had to ring again and was given exactly the same message.
When they did appear, I ordered one.
Dpd, tried twice to deliver it and failed. I had their App so checked it. They were trying to send it to a different address.
I emailed Simplehuman to explain the issue. They informed me to download dpd App so I could view where it was!! Great help. Long story short we spent several weeks emailing back and forth and eventually the Lid was returned to Simplehuman.
I explained what had happened and asked for a refund.
They redid "Unfortunately the package has been returned, would I like it to be resent or a refund' ...the story of all my email dealings with them. Utterly useless!
So refund it is, and I will buy another bin from another company.
