I purchased a paper towel holder and 3…

I purchased a paper towel holder and 3 packages of cleaning tablets. I received the paper towel holder and only 1 packet. I sent them an email, took 3 days to answer and they wanted a copy of the packing list. I sent that, then they wanted a picture of the product (even though they had the order number). No less than 7 emails back and forth, each time asking for something different. We are talking about cleaning tablets here, not an expensive item. I've provided proof of everything! Now they've stopped responding. They do not list a telephone number, but found one via the Internet. Called and no one answered, and yes, it was within their working hours. Calls go directly to an unmanned extension. I waited for 50 minutes and no one ever picked up. I tried their "chat", no one responded (it said wait time approximately 4 minutes. I gave up after 35 minutes). Will never buy from them again.

I think I got scammed!

Back in August I ordered trashbin liners but they never arrived. I was charged on the credit card but as of Nov 3 I still have not recevied any products. When I track the order it says it is still in transit. I have tried to contact them several time by both email and their chat bot but I don't even get a reply. I'm starting to think I got scammed! Beware of this company!!

Voice Trash Can - do NOT buy!

I am bought the 58L voice + motion dual compartment rectangular sensor can a few years ago. The sensor stopped working in August 2022 and their team sent me a replacement lid. That worked for a bit, but it stopped working again in September 2023 so I ordered another replacement.

I was told it would be shipped within 3-4 weeks. I checked last week with customer support, they told me they would let me know a shipping number the following day. Of course, they never followed up, so I did myself and they said it's another 4 weeks.

This is a $300 trash can. I expect quality service. Instead, their team has been condescending, unhelpful, and frankly just nasty.

This product clearly should not have been released as this is the SECOND time I've had to replace the main part of the product. I purchase simplehuman products because I believe them to be high quality and high design. This trash can has proven otherwise.

These people are incompetent and do not honor their warranties!

Very poor quality

I have 2 types of soap dispensers, manual and sensor. Chrome quality of these products is well below par. They corrode in less than 3 months, despite using superior quality soap and cleaning the units every week. This makes the unit price astronomical and a waste of money.

Hope YOURS doesn’t break

Don’t try to contact customer service about a warranty, regardless of whether you bought it directly from simple human. There is no customer service. It takes one to two days to get a text back. And then they make you jump through hoops to prove that you bought it from them, with a serial number and an order number. No problem. Took me a second to find my order number because my email was from a year and a half ago, I have a five year warranty. Find my email with order number/proof of purchase, and Serial number I sent them to them and then they wanted a video. When I sent the video through my text message where they initiated the chat, they said they couldn’t receive it and they had to email me. And when they emailed me. I sent them the the information they requested , and they still say it’s a troubleshooting error. This is a $250 trashcan! I can’t get a person on the phone to fix my definite warranty issue, and I can’t get them to respond. I suspected, they would be OK. Well you have to box it up and send it back , typical type of stuff and was prepared for that, and trust nothing, so I’ve kept the box and shipping label with original weights and dimensions (don’t you dare even try to ask me what size box I’m sending it back in and what the weights of the box are, I know that game). Also, even within your five year warranty from the factory, direct purchase, you’re only eligible for a full refund within 45 days of proof of purchase from the end users seller. That means, if you bought it on Amazon, and it took three weeks to get to you, you only now have three weeks to claim a factory warranty. If you even can. I did not buy on Amazon. I bought direct from the factory and I am having so many issues. It is unbelievable. a $250 trashcan and I cannot get a person on the phone, nor can I get anyone who seems to believe me about my issues. I am getting the runaround. This is a joke they don’t want to refund anything they don’t want to warrantee anything they don’t want to replace parts they don’t wanna replace items they just want to take your money !

Do not be seduced by design of soap dispenser

I bought a soap dispenser, very expensive, it ceased working after a year. So I bought another, it worked, so I bought a third. The first lasted a year, the second lasted less than a year, and the third lasted 9 months. I am a fastidious single person who is out of the country 6 months a year.They are attractive, but expensive. I contacted customer service, spoke with a disinterested person and was told to send them back, which would have cost a bundle, and was told they were out of warranty anyway. The products are nice looking, but useless after several months, and customer service is terrible. Do not buy this product, do not be seduced by the design, the function is awful

Nothing simple No human

Truth: they may be called simplehuman, but there is no human. Excellent simple design, but products are poorly made. Fail. Trash Can broken. No warranty. Automatic soap dispenser does not work. Nobody to talk to you from their company. No warranty coverage. Argh, their emails are repetitive. They confirmed there is no phone service with a human. There is no way to communicate other than via a broken bot system. Nobody replies other than to say there isn't anything they will do. Hundreds of dollars wasted. Two years and not operable products. They will not back their word or product. I will never buy their brand again. cute name. Clever marketing. Beware. Their products fail. Customer service does not exist.

DO NOT BUT FROM SIMPLEHUMAN

Trash can has stopped working again. Warranty was filed and ETA on lid was 4-6 weeks. Ok fine and guess what passed that and still nothing and they have no ETA when it will be in. Won’t refund, won’t send new trash can. NOTHING

We have 2 of the 2 chamber…

We have 2 of the 2 chamber trash/recycle cans. Both have slow close lid hinge failures, the newest being less than a year old. Support sucks, can’t get through, chat resets and deletes your thread. They are not interested once they sell you. Buy elsewhere.

I would give them ZERO stars

I would give them ZERO stars! You order 4 different scents of soap and they get your order wrong. I double checked what I ordered, and yes, they definately got it wrong, how is this?
You try to reach them and you can't. They force you to use Chat or Text which says they will respond withing 24 hours!
Horrible Customer Service!
In 24 hours, I would already have a different soap ordered.
What a waste.

N’achetez pas chez eux : leurs produits ne sont pas fiables

J’ai commandé mon premier distributeur de savon en 2020. C’est un produit tres pratique et esthétique mais qui coûte assez cher donc on peut s’attendre à ce qu’il dure mais ce n’est absolument pas le cas : au bout d’un an mon produit n’a plus fonctionné. J’ai alors sollicité le sav qui a été très efficace et m’en a renvoyé un ( c’est d’ailleurs dommage qu’ils ne récupèrent pas les produits défectueux pour les réparer) qui a fonctionné un an et demi avant de tomber en panne. Exceptionnellement le Sav a accepté de remplacer le produit de remplacement qui lui a duré 3 mois… donc en moyenne le produit dure un an et 90€ c’est très cher payé.

Horrendous customer service

I placed an order through Simplehuman.com. They advertised 3-day delivery. The shipper that they used was Ontrac. The item was not delivered on the scheduled delivery date. I tried getting the status online from both Simplehuman and Ontrac. An update showed the item would be delivered the next day. The next day, the online tracking was updated again showing the delivery was rescheduled again for the following day. I left a message requesting an update from Ontrac on the first rescheduled day and received no reply. I tried to contact Simplehuman through their chat feature during the advertised times now for 4 days in a row and an agent is never available. I have left at least half a dozen messages and several text messages and no one has contacted me back. The customer service number is only a recording that says to use the website for inquiries. What good does leaving messages do if they won't reply to them? The order status now shows as "unavailable" and I have no clue where the item is or when it will be delivered. Of course, I have been charged for the item already. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. If you feel you must have a Simplehuman product, purchase through a third-party retailer and certainly not directly from Simplehuman.com.

Defective soap dispenser

I have a 9oz soap dispenser that stopped charging after warranty period. A piece of junk that the company won’t stand behind. They offered 20% off a new one, which anyone can get. At $80 for a soap dispenser I would expect it to last longer.

They don't stand behind their products

I have purchased a lot of products from this company and have been pleased with most of them, but now after this experience, I will never purchase another one of their products.

I purchased a wall mount sensor mirror and it was great, until a year after the warranty ended. Now the arm doesn't hold up the mirror and it droops, so that it's unusable. I am very careful with everything I own and there was nothing to cause it to break. I then googled how to fix it and was unable to find any instructions on the internet, so I contacted simplehuman to ask how I could fix it myself.

They replied:Thanks for reaching out to Simplehuman. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your product! It seems that the arm of the item is defective and needs repair, however, per checking, it seems that based on the serial number you provided, the item is already out of the 5-year warranty. If this is not the case, please provide us with the proof of purchase to further proceed with the claim. This way we can verify if the item is indeed within the 5-year warranty period. In the absence of proof, I could offer you instead a 20% discount code that you can use towards your future purchases.

I answered: Thank you for your reply. I believe the mirror is six years old, so it would be out of warranty. This is why I contacted your company to provide me with information as to how I may fix it myself. There is nothing on your company’s website or on the internet discussing such failure in these mirrors. I’ll add that I’m very disappointed that the hardware has failed on an item that is not easy or inexpensive to install.

And this was their response: Thanks for reaching out to Simplehuman. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. However, it is not actually something that we are able to share as it is actually up to the assessment of our technicians. The process is that it is usually sent for repair but it may be two things either, they can be able to repair it or it is not something that can no longer be fixed and a new item is needed.

So now I would need an electrician to remove the mirror from my wall and then purchase a new one for $200-20% and then have another electrician install the new mirror.

So disappointed in their customer service.
