My 10 year old standard lamp had developed a fault. The initial response to my telephone enquiry was positive and helpful and my subsequent conversations with Helen were likewise. Delivery of a packing box, collection of the faulty lamp and return of the repaired and upgraded lamp were done to the 2 week schedule with regular follow-up calls from Helen. The lamp is now as good as new at a very reasonable cost.

We have had Serious Reader table lights and a standard light for over ten years, and wouldn’t be without them. A bulb has only just gone for the first time in one of the table lamps As the particular model is now out of production, a phone call to the company’s helpful staff quickly established which bulbs I should order, and these arrived almost by return. Excellent products and company.

My 2014 Alex lamp was about to go to landfill after it stopped working suddenly. After trying a new bulb (to no avail) I checked the serious readers website and to my delight found the repair service.

It truly is second to none - within 8 days of contacting the company, I have a fabulous working lamp again which has been upgraded to LED and is now as good as new.

On Monday morning I telephoned regarding the breakdown of my reading light - after nearly five years of constant use, the light engine had failed. I spoke to Jack who dealt efficiently with the details and he informed me that the item was still under guarantee. He said he would refer the matter on and someone would contact me. Julie rang me back the same day and after a friendly chat promised to send a replacement part promptly. The part arrived by Royal Mail on Wednesday morning. The light is now working again.

We bought the floor lamp some time ago when my husband had cataracts and have always rated it highly. Therefore when I needed a table lamp to help with sewing we had no hesitation in buying again from Serious Readers. The service is excellent and the products well packed. You pay for the quality of the product and the efficiency of the light but its money well spent.

We had a table lump needing a repair. So we contacted the Serious Readers. They immediately responded us to say that it is under the warranty and sent us the box to send it back to them.

We were surprised to see their actions in quick and timely manners. In addition they kept contacts with us all the way. After a few days the table lamp came back to us in perfectly working order.

The Customer Service from Serious Readers is second to none. My initial product failed in under 2 years and they immediately replaced it with their latest version. Unfortunately, we were not happy with this replacement and they instantly swopped it for another one which is satisfactory. This company gives a new 5 year guarantee on the replacement, unlike most firms who use the ORIGINAL purchase date.

I tried the lamp but returned it due to the LED's being too bright for my sensitive eyes. Helen was very helpful and sent me a less powerful LED engine to try but it wasn't quite for me. The company tried all they could and once I said I would like to return the lamp the process was extremely easy and the lamp was collected at a convenient agreed time. Helen kept in contact all the way to confirming receipt of the lamp and reimbursement of the costs. I can highly recommend the company for the quality of their product as well as customer service which is first class.

I am a couple of months short of my 80th birthday and until the lamp failed I didn't appreciate just how much I relied on it. However you don't have to be an old codger. This product is perfect for everyone with its adjustable angle and variable beam.

Prompt and courteous attention to providing new replacement bulb unit. This equipment (admittedly expensive) has proved to be essential and versatile to me in my advancing years and as a cancer survivor. Everything was so easy to follow from the start. Difficult to improve upon, the whole process and the light, excellent.

I sent an email about a lamp I had bought second hand which needed to be repaired.
