Good light. Came on time.

Great light which sits perfectly under back of sofa giving light above seat. As there is no socket close by the fact that it is cordless is perfect. I can predict I will be getting another one for using my sewing machine.

The replacement bulbs are utterly useless giving hardly any light at all

Ordering was quick and easy. Instructions were given on how to ensure correct part was ordered. Order was well packaged and arrived swiftly.

Absolutely incredible customer service from Helen, one of their Customer Service Advisors; the whole process was so genuine and pleasant. To be honest, I've never experienced better Customer Service in my entire life! The lights themselves really are uniquely high-quality. Previously I would always get slightly uncomfortable and strained reading at night, I'd get fidgety and could never settle to read for long because my eyes got so fatigued. Now I turn on the lamp and open my book and don't even realise until an hour later that I've just been reading the whole time. Truly wonderful! The dimmer functionality is also incredible if you can be a bit sensitive to light — you can start low, and then once you settle in, turn it up. Life-changing!!

Prompt delivery - not entirely in a company's control, but they have to have done their bit right to achieve it. Very nicely and helpfully packaged product, best job I have ever seen of this. Product easy to use and instructions clear. So far, so good with its performance and usability. I haven't yet put it to the test with cross-stitch but I think it's going to just what I needed.

A superb reading light. Well made and effective. Delivery was very swift too. Not cheap, but worth it for a product of this quality.

A small part of the lamp was broken but when I rang up I was told it would be replaced and I got the new part within one working day. This is the second lamp I have bought because the first is so useful and the new one is working just as well.

The products are excellent. Ordering was easy, accessories were offered at checkout so no need to search, and the items are displayed clearly on the website. Delivery was very quick.

I used the numbers from the base of the lamp
Why was the incorrect bulb sent?I now have to follow procedure to return bulb inconvenient for me

Easy to order and options explained clearly.
Also easy to unpack and set up as no assembly needed.
+ most important put me in wife's good books as it was a present for her!!

The customer service where I spoke to a real person rather than engage with some web based chat bot was first class. Having previously bought products from Serious Readers I had no worries as to the quality and when my Roam light arrived I was and am delighted. So much easier to take the light where I need it without struggling to plug it in

My order was processed promptly. Customer service is friendly, helpful and efficient. The technical support team was able to diagnose the issue with my floor lamp and is arranging for it to be addressed.

Although the incorrect item was sent in the first place,
The correct item was rapidly dispatched and received.

Serious readers was recommended by my local optician. I found the website easy to navigate and the ordering process very straightforward. My order was confirmed and tracking began. I was notified the morning my item was to be delivered and it arrived as stated. My item arrived two days after it was ordered which was fantastic.
Unpacking the item was very straightforward with step by step instructions. The lamp was ordered for an elderly friend who loves to read. She is now able to see the text more clearly and can now read for longer periods at a time.
The item itself is very sturdy with it's heavy base. Being able to adjust the direction, brightness and width of the beam allows it to be adjusted to suit it's user which is perfect.
The only negative point I have is that the delivery driver left the lamp which comes ready assembled and therefore in quite a large box just inside my gate on a day when heavy rain was forecast. Whilst I appreciate Serious Readers has little control once the item is handed over to their courier. I would imagine most of it's customers are elderly so a door step delivery should be a priority.

I am very impressed with the lights I have purchased and the detail gone into them which includes how well they are packed plus precise instructions I.e. no stone unturned. These lights are a revelation and have allowed me to read much faster because of the clarity they give.
I don't know how I managed with my table light for so long. I only use my HD light for reading, writing and tedious work like threading a needle because of the concentrated light. The other lights are for general lighting only. Very pleased indeed.

When I contacted Serious Readers about my problem (one of the prongs on a plug had snapped off.....after 12 years...first problem at all), their reply via email was very swift and helpful. The problem was acknowledged, and the solution was pointed to. I followed the advice, purchased the part, which was all very easy...even for me! The part came speedily by post, and the problem was solved.
