This lamp is wonderful. I am an avid reader and it has made reading so much better. My eye sight has got worse so I needed a better light and this one does the job.I now have two of these lights.

Our Serious Readers reading lamp started flickering at the weekend. In our dark little cottage we rely heavily on this excellent product, so I emailed the company immediately for advice. Within hours I received a courteous holding response from their Founder, and.the replacement part was identified and despatched first thing Monday morning. Although the lamp was several months beyond its five-year warranty period they made no charge for this.

The part was delivered today by Royal Mail within the specified time-slot. The lamp’s now happily restored to our dining table.

I chose a Serious Readers lamp in the first place because of their outstanding products - of course - and famously good after-sales service. Having called on it now for the first time, it’s hard to imagine a more positive customer experience. Our thanks and congratulations to all concerned!

My mother, 106 years old, is totally dependant on her Serious Readers floor standing light for reading, seeing her meals etc. It was recently knocked over and broke. Fortunately I was able to take her lamp to the factory where I was met by very friendly staff who repaired the lamp whilst I waited, I was even offered a cup of coffee. This was without doubt exceptional customer service which matched the exceptional product. I am one very happy customer and the son of one very happy mother!

I ordered the heavy base floor lamp when it was advertised at half price. It arrived within two days. The packaging was amazing, very environmentally friendly.
I still think the lamp is expensive even at half price but it is excellent. My husband always used to complain that my previous lamp reflected on the TV screen impeding his view. This lamp doesn't do that, it shines perfectly on my crochet.
I would recommend this product.

After inheriting a table lamp that wasn’t working I purchased a new bulb. That didn’t work unfortunately and I contacted SR to ask for some help. With a collection arranged, refund for the replacement bulb my lamp is back with me having been rebuilt. I’m delighted. The customer service, my new reconditioned lamp and courier service was exemplary. Thank you.

I have a lot of this company’s lights - they are truly marvellous. I have to admit to having tried (quite hard) to get cheaper alternatives with absolutely NO success, any copies are cheap and nasty and just really don’t do the job that the Serious Reader lights do.

Their customer service is second to none and so extremely helpful. I assure you this is a totally unsolicited review. I have Age related macular degeneration and there really is NO light that is as helpful as these Serious Reader lights. I couldn’t be happier with mine. - I have SIX of them!!

Having learned that my eyesight was deteriorating I ordered 2 mini-lights from Serious. They were delivered promptly and the quality of the products and the presentation was exceptional.
Unfortunately they were unsuitable and I contacted their Customer Services to arrange a return and refund.
I can only describe their reply and action to return the goods and give a refund as probably the best I have ever received, and I have worked in retail with major suppliers for over 40 years.
I can only commend and recommend their products and services.

I recently purchased and received a floor standing light from serious readers. First of all. it came and they said it would. It was packed beautifully in a box that Apple would’ve been proud of, with instructions that were clear and easy to read. The light itself is beautifully made from quality parts and well thought out. It has already improved my reading experience both books on paper and from an iPhone screen. I havre 90 approx days to decide whether to keep the light and I know already that I will. I love it when the British company deliver so completely thank you.

I now have several Serious Readers, both table and floor lamps. They have hugely enhanced my experience of reading, and it's reassuring to know they are preventing eye strain. As I do close editorial work, having good lighting makes a big difference, but even just reading for pleasure is more pleasurable and comfortable with these lights.
The lamps arrive beautifully packaged, are very simple to put together and use, and I have found Customer Services to be most friendly and helpful.

My wife has impaired vision,the use of the Serious Reader light has made a significant difference to her general vision ability and she is delighted with the product

We have 3 of these great lamps. When one developed a fault the customer service was brilliant, keeping us informed at each step. They arranged the collection to suit us and returned the upgraded lamp in a week.

Having only just received the wonderful HD Floor Lamp and used it all afternoon I can honestly say it has already made an immediate difference. It is like reading in natural daylight. Thankyou so much.

Being an owner of a number of these very functional and aesthetically pleasing quality products for a number of years, it was very pleasing to also experience a wonderful support service when it became necessary. The communication was excellent (thanks Helen) and a very efficient pick up and drop off service was provided, including a box. The returned item was well packed, and evidently well repaired (thanks Gary). Conclusion: Serious Brands - strongly recommended!

The Serious experience is pretty much flawless from the very start. Intelligent, non-pushy advertising. Discounted prices. Simple online configuration and ordering. Robust packaging and timely delivery. No self-assembly. Obvious build quality. And most important of all, brilliant light that makes reading a new pleasure. We have bought three Serious lamps over the years – a tribute to their performance and durability.

I've recently had a floor standing readers light upgraded (all the electrics seem to have been replaced). Returned to me good as new. Although this only took a week, the telling thing was how much it was missed during that time. All's good now though.
I always knew that these are great lights but the real revelation to me was the outstanding customer experience in dealing with Serious Readers.
