Serious Readers is an excellent company to do business with. Their products are first rate and really live up to their promises and expectations. I find that I can read without my glasses as the light is so good.
Their customer services department is superb and the best I have come across.

I can’t fault this company. Their lights are game-changing and customer service is brilliant. I would highly recommend Serious Readers to everyone.

Easy to order and help full, friendly staff to advise. I bought the top of the range floor standing light in 2016. It helps greatly with my reading. It is sturdy and well built. The top part can be bent into several different angles.
Surprisingly, the bulb has lasted and still fine now. I bought a couple of replacement bulbs when I bought the light but have never had to use them - fingers crossed.

I’ve had SERIOUS READERS ALEX floor light for many years. Completely satisfied with its performance- clear natural reading aid.
In April 2026, it suddenly stopped working .
The company’s response was impeccable. Customer care was invariably so friendly and efficient. The light was collected, repaired , upgraded and returned within a precise timetable. And at incredibly reasonable cost.
This company is a model of precision performance and warm customer care. FAULTLESS !

Have purchased four of these over the years. Wife and I each have a floor model and a desktop. Although we are in the #USA shipping was quick, and the packing was stout and well thought out. Lights are very bright but adjustable. Easy to position. Really wonderful. Only glitch was an early bulb failure, but a new one was promptly shipped at no charge. Would buy again for sure.

Very pleased and very impressed by the Serious Readers light. Arrived promptly, and packaged beautifully. Admittedly, it is more expensive than your average reading light, but the difference in quality is amazing. Well worth the cost if you are looking for a well made reading light.

Easy on-line order - very fast delivery, well packaged.

The light arrived promptly and initially worked well, although I was not convinced that the battery was charging as it should. Unfortunately, after just two days the lamp stopped working and showed no signs that power was getting to it. I contacted the company by e mail and phone and got helpful responses, chiefly advising that the stem and the battery should be firmly fixed, but to no avail. I was offered a replacement but I opted for a refund and to return the faulty light. No doubt my experience was unusual and these lights are quality items, but they should be for the price. I can’t fault the helpful after sales service and polite and respectful phone conversations. I hope others have better experiences.

I love their product but the fact that they continue to bombard me with junk mail after twice requesting that they stop, drives me crazy.

Having recently purchased my third Serious light - my second floorstander - the unit developed a seemingly minor fault. On contacting Serious I had an immediate return call from Helen who suggested it to be more of a complex problem.
To say I was impressed by the customer service prompted by Helen is an understatement!
Having already dispensed with the packaging, a fresh - empty - box was sent for me to return the light. The unit was repaired, upgraded and despatched back to me within seven days.
The products this company produces are exceptional with their customer care and after-sales services equally so. I can - and do frequently - highly recommend the Serious Brands.

This type of light cannot be compared to any other we have used in the past. We both write professionally and spend many ours, all times of the day & night writing and researching.
The light brings the text out and makes the words clear and sharp. I no longer squint or lean forwards & backwards in order to make out the smaller print.
It is worth every penny, especially as it has a positive impact in the health of my eyes. I have now bought one for my partner who echoes these comments.

These are simply the best lights I've ever used. They're very well built, they look great wherever they're placed, they're flexible, and most importantly, the quality of light is outstanding. It really is like reading in daylight.



I must admit, I was a bit skeptical when I saw an ad for one, as they do make bold claims and they're not exactly cheap, but then, you get what you pay for. So, I ordered one and when I switched it on and read a few articles, I knew I was going to keep it. In fact, I now own 3 of their lights and they're all amazing.



Oh, and one more thing, their customer service is first class. I've spoken to the lovely Helen on several occasions now and she's absolutely brilliant.

This company have the best customer service ever. No problem with a repair four years after purchase. Fully paid return and repair. Brilliant. We have four of their lamps now and would be delighted to get more if we needed them.

I arranged to return a floor lamp to have the light updated to LCD from halogen.

The company arranged to deliver a box for the return.

I began opening the return box armed with tape, labels, marker pen, knife - and a degree of resignation.

What a revelation! The instructions on the box, the video, the labels - and the thoughtful engineering of the box itself. All are a real statement of customer value by the company.

I congratulate all of them on their excellent products and service, it is a pleasure to do business with this company.
