I am a very new customer, but I am most impressed by this company and certainly by the product I bought.The HD Essential Floor Light arrived superbly packed with full details of how to unpack and with an Instruction Booklet ( one doesn't get that these days, you have to go on the computer to find out how to work anything !!) The product itself does everything it says in the manual and I can now read a book or newspaper without squinting to see it. Brilliant light, brilliant product.! Well done !---

My switch had broken on my table lamp . So i rang the company to be told it was still under warranty and they would arrange collection and delivery . All went smoothly despite us missing the collection man ! But after an email it was quickly sorted out . My lamp works brilliantly now .

We have just received amazing customer service from Serious Readers. We bought a floor lamp in 2017. It developed a fault when it was out of guarantee. We contacted Serious Readers. At a small cost they arranged for the light to be picked up for repair. As the fault could not be rectified a replacement light was sent. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I have three of this company’s products and all of them are excellent as is the level of service on offer. When you contact them it is a refreshing change from dealing with a call centre. Even the packaging is carefully thought through. Strongly recommended.

Product was delivered on time. When making contact by phone someone always answers and deals with my query or arranges for it to be dealt with expeditiously.

I recently had an issue with my purchase which was resolved in under wo hours by phone.

The product is also excellent and well worth the £499.

I've been using the floor standing Serious Readers light for ten years and it's been amazing. Everyone should have one. A few weeks ago the switch on the lamp started to be intermittent so I phoned Serious Readers and asked how I could get it repaired. As it happens I live very close to the Serious Readers office in Aylesbury so asked if I could drop it in. They confirmed that I could so took it straight round and they fixed it while I waited. Everybody I met who worked there couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. This company are highly recommended.

Makes an excellent lamp, and in the UK. A quality product.

After four years the light engine was failing on a floor lamp. As there is a five year guarantee I contacted customer services who immediately despatched a replacement with a prepaid return label for the faulty unit. The lamp is used for needlework/beading and is far superior to cheaper foreign units and does not require magnification. It is also stylish and well designed.

As a “serious reader” and someone who enjoys doing tapestry I have bought 4 Serious Reader lamps over the years for various parts of my house. When one developed a fault with the wiring I contacted the company to have it fixed. The service I received was polite and extremely efficient. My repaired and updated lamp arrived on the day promised and although it cost me quite a sum (it was many years out of warranty) it was worth every penny. This is a rare company with an old fashioned approach, providing excellent and reliable customer service. I cannot recommend them more highly.

The Serious Readers light is a great product. Since owning one I’ve been able to read again at night without any eye strain. I’ve purchased several lamps over the years and now have them in my lounge, office and bedroom. The people working in customer services have always been very friendly and helpful when I have contacted them.

It’s not too often in today’s market that you find a company and also an individual who provides exceptional customer service. Micheal O’Boyle at Serious Brands has been exceptional in helping me with a purchase that I made. The company and Michael really do seem to care about their customers. I can highly recommend them.

I bought the Essential table lamp a couple of weeks ago and almost immediately ordered a Compact. I’m thrilled with them both. I’m old and have had to give up many of my interests, so reading is important to me. My eyesight is good, but I was increasingly losing focus after a while. This is no longer a problem with my Serious lamps, I can even read crossword clues with ease! It’s important to me to keep my brain active.
This is an excellent company to deal with, delivery is prompt and the lamps are very well packaged, with no diy skills needed. Customer Services are friendly and helpful. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

2 1/2 years ago I bought a high definition floor light from serious readers and have absolutely loved it. Just recently it wouldn’t work properly so I contacted customer services. What an absolute pleasure they were to deal with. Easy to find the number and to get through to and very quickly sorted out how to return the light so they could fix it. What’s more the HD light has been superseded with LED lights so they upgraded my light and returned it to me better than new within a couple of weeks, all covered under the 5 year warranty. Thank you so much, it is so refreshing to deal with an efficient, friendly and helpful company who go out of their way to treat you like a valued customer.

When my 7 year old desktop lamp began to show its age with the switch and dimmer unit becoming less than reliable I decided to look at options for replacement.
After a telephone call with Helen I went for a complete lamp refurbishment as the solution.
All arrangements for collection repair and return of the unit were explained and went completely as planned.
Toni, you did an excellent refurbishment and I am now enjoying a beautiful new lamp to make my reading a more pleasant experience.

My mum is 92 and has been using her Serious floor light every day for at least 9 years. She thought a bulb had gone so I ordered two more. They arrived quickly but the light didn't work so I rang customer service explaining that if my mum answered a call from the technician it might be difficult because she is hard of hearing. Within minutes, Michael got back to me, diagnosed the problem and explained the procedure for returning the lamp. I was concerned that it was a heavy item to ship from the Isle of Man but this was no problem. He was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent products and an excellent standard of customer service. There was a slight delay on one of the products I ordered and I received a call to explain what was happening and a follow up call to confirm the item had arrived. Much appreciated!

Outstanding Customer service and reliable delivery have been the norm for this company over the many years I have been a customer.
My floor lamp recently broke and, as it was still under warranty, they sent a box for me to pack it in within days.
It was then collected as arranged and mended in a short space of time. There was a slight hick-up when the mended lamp went astray but that was the fault of the couriers.
However, SERIOUS READERS immediately sent me a brand NEW replacement lamp without question.
Who could ask for better service -something which is lacking in most companies these days.
NEED A LAMP - DO NOT HESITATE GO TO SERIOUS READERS.
