The company made sure that i was aware of what i was doing before making a investment,the test i failed twice,with a block on me sitting it again which i passed .with simple to follow instructions i was able to make my investment.. journey could not have been any easier..so worth of the 5star rating ..Thankyou

Investors be wary.
Seedrs (crowdfunding platform) as a ‘marketplace’ for companies is necessary for new businesses and opportunities for investors.
However there are regular situations where the due diligence is poor. The discussion forums are full of complaints and concerns so users of the platform need to be wary. The 2 minute survey to confirm you know as an investor what you are doing is by passed by many and there are many confused investors attached to certain companies that use the discussion forums like facebook! Seedrs do not monitor closely and avoid getting involved where there are clear issues.

Bad experience with Bux
Until a few months ago, I would have given Seedrs 5 stars, but I've lost most of my confidence because of what happened to a company called Bux. It was recently bought up by an international bank, which usually means a big payout for original investors. But instead, investors stand to lose all their money, unless they just happened to make an additional investment just before the takeover. Investors were NOT told at the time that this might happen. Seedrs may not be responsible for this, and I'm not sure how much prior knowledge they had, but I think they have failed to protect their investors.

The website was unfriendly to navigate in order to get information about my portfolio.
It was very difficult to understand the status of share interests which I offered for sale 3 times so far on the secondary market, and fairly difficult to use the secondary market. Perhaps there is no market?

Dear Feedback,
Traditionally start-ups fail at a high rate - somewhere around 80%. Crowdfunding has traditionally seen a much lower rate compared to the national average, around 30% to 40%. This number may still be too high but compared to the national average, it's better.
Republic prides itself on the 'vetting' we conduct - typically only about 2% of the businesses that apply to raise with us result in being funded. The information that we provide for investors to make decisions is guaranteed to be fair, not misleading and accurate. We believe this is reflected in our better than national average success rate.
We suggest building a diversified portfolio to protect against these failures and even out the losses and there are plenty of guides online and via our own service that can help here.
Regardless, we are disappointed you've had this experience. Every single one of the businesses that raise we feel has a chance of success and that fact that you feel you haven't enjoyed any of it - is clearly awful. We hope that your experience turns around soon.
