Lost all my money shares unable to be sold , a scam

They took over 3000 DKK for an investment order that they themselves said was canceled, but they have not refunded my money. They are theives, so stay away!

Republic (formerly Seedrs) is basically a scam and I suggest you stay far away. It is very easy to invest in companies, but most of them fail and for the few that doesn't fail it's almost impossible to sell your shares. If you try to sell your shares it will just say that this company is ineligible and you are stuck with your shares that just continue to drop in value until the company goes out of business and all your money is gone.

I have invested in 10 different companies over the past 8 years and this was some of the top companies on the site that seemed to have real business and customers. 4 of them went under (or were just scams) and they just disappeared from the site along with all the money I invested in them. 2 companies I was able sell my shares at a loss of around 30%, 1 company I sold my shares for same price as my initial investment and 3 companies are "ineligible" to sell shares so I'm pretty sure they will also go under and the money will be lost.

Appalled with their communications and don't the shiny videos/pitch scam you.

Outrageous the lack of communication and the whole behaviour of the organisation. I am just glad i didn't invest more on the platform

Absolute rubbish. The so-called trading platform is a scam. Easy to “invest “ but impossible to sell

The scam on Seedrs (Republic Europe) with "shares" in GetBux (Bux) has finally made clear that millions of euros will be held on by the CEO of GetBux and the last round of selling shares will be "preferential shares" of which the remaining money will be divided over.
Do NOT invest in anything Republic Europe offers, as this is a alledgedly an approved practice.

Houden je geld jaren vast BUX / ABN Amro doen een David Copperfield truck en alles is verdwenen.

ABN AMRO geeft niet thuis en op het platform geen enkele response hoe dit nu op te lossen.

Geen enkele hulp hoe deze waardeloze shares te verhandelen ik wil er afscheid van nemen maar niemand reageert.

Scam! They don't do due dilligence on targets and most are terribly overpriced . 95% chance of losing all your money. Impossible to make a decent return

Not a fan, at all, whatsoever. They won’t read this as it’s not of interest to them.

De helft van mijn projecten zijn al falliet gegaan. De manier waarop dit gebeurd is vaak dubieus, met berichten een paar maanden ervoor dat het allemaal nog super goed gaat. Ook worden er steeds nieuwe investeringsmogelijkheden geboden en heb je nooit goed de kans om je aandelen te verkopen.

Update per januari 2026: inmiddels is de 3e (van mijn 4) investeringen nu ook officieel 0,00 euro waard

I started investing through Seedrs, which has now become part of Republic. Investing in Private Equity is high risk, so I spread a couple of 1000£ over 17 startups. At the time of writing, 5 of these have failed, some enjoy a somewhat higher share price. Overall, my return is negative.
I'd say the platform is well made, but for me it's so far not a gain (apart from being a rare opportunity for true impact investing). Can't really confirm most other negative reviews, but it's definitely not for the faint of heart - don't invest more than you don't care losing.
Also, I don't like that companies are not obliged to provide regular updates. Some are quite diligent, others don't provide news at all - not good for trust or confidence.

I strongly advise anyone considering this platform (Seedrs / Republic) to stay away. This entire setup seems like an organized scam. Companies raise funds through the platform, collect money from the public, and then shut down—only to reopen under a different name and continue operating successfully, while the original investors lose everything.

There is **no real oversight or due diligence** done by Seedrs. Once your money is taken, they do nothing to track or hold these companies accountable. I've seen multiple cases where companies raise funds, go into liquidation, and soon after re-emerge as new entities—leaving investors completely in the dark and out of pocket. Or the simple run away and live luxury life on your money like VIDI energy. Long list ....

The **legal team is useless**—they seem to exist only to protect Seedrs, not the investors. There is **zero protection**, and no support when things go wrong. I’ve personally lost money across several investments, and the same pattern keeps repeating. It’s done so cleverly and "legally" that there's nothing you can do about it.

**Conclusion:**
This platform feels like a trap for regular people trying to invest in startups. It benefits the founders and the platform itself—not the investors. Don’t be fooled. Stay away.

Rubbish avoid them, don't give them your money otherwise you won't get it back unless it's £0.05 of the 100s and 1000s you invested. Might aswell throw it out the window

A platform full of complex issues and problems If almost everybody is so unhappy. How this company is still operating I am glad I came across Good merit. where things are going fine.

I have invested a relatively small amount in several companies, a few of which have now been dissolved. I don't mind losing the investment however it is more the way it has been lost. In one case the company is now operating our of South Africa under another name but there is a clear connection and raising money in the UK appears to have been part of the plan then absconding with it. Seedrs/Europe Republic still have not answered any questions about it's due diligence nor has it banned the directors from raising money on the site. this has been going on since 2022.

Another company is going to rebrand itself and again it looks like the sale of the company will be done at firesale prices to another company that just happens to have the same directors. That will be another write -off.

Don't waste your time with this platform, the only guarantee is that your investment will disappear.

Fancy site no updates
I have invested from Denmark since 2023. They do say it is possible to sell shares in their secondhand shop. However, their app and market does not work in Denmark. Which they do not tell you before after investing. When asking for updates no answer are recieved.
So until proved othervise it is lost money since I cannot sell my stocks.

The worst place I ever invested my money into. One of the companies just winded up making all the investors lose the money. The other shares are not eligible to sell for over 4 years, so there is no way I can get the money back. Customer support is totally non existent, if you get an email from them, they just say there is nothing they can do.
