Transfer of shares following bereavement took 3 years!
Following my mother's death in 2021, it took 3 years for the shares she held with Seedrs to be transferred into my sister's name. There is no dedicated bereavement team, which there should be and there is no way to contact Seedrs apart from email. In spite of a request to speak to someone which would have made the whole process so much easier at an incredibly difficult time, this was refused. Responses to emails were really slow and there was a total lack of ownership of the issues we were having. Not being investors, the language used is confusing and Seedrs were no help in explaining it. Finally after 3 long years, the shares have been transferred. Based on my experience, I never want to have dealings with this company again and would suggest people stay well clear.

Unprofessional and very badly educated
they are truly incompetent, they work with unprofessional staff and we only waste time and money with them. they are also very badly educated, they do not respect other people! Not recommended for Crownfunding they are incompetent.
ok we will add the details: we waited two months for an answer, then their employee (Bart or Burt) made fun of our CEO. first he gave him an appointment at the wrong time, then when the appointment was he didn't show up, our CEO who follows 5 companies in Europe lost the day behind this gentleman. NOT EDUCATION AND RESPECT OF THE PEOPLE. They didn't even read our emails.

Beware, it's undoubtedly a scam—steer clear. Seedrs cannot provide guarantees for any companies listed on their site. I invested in 2018 through Seedrs, only to discover five years later that my investment was not worth a penny, and Seedrs could not do anything about it. I urge everyone to prioritize reading negative reviews first; authentic criticism is less likely to be paid for, unlike potentially fabricated positive reviews. Stay away.

Investing through Seedrs 6 years already. They love making a profit and then just doing whatever as they do not protect the small investor and do what's good for them and will tell you we warned you that all investments are risky. Especially now with the Bux scam they showed that they cannot be trusted to protect their investors.

Extremely poor governance
Extremely poor governance.
Seedrs are unable to contact portfolio companies and do not proactively communicate with shareholders. Audited accounts are almost never shared.
The platform is a drain on taxpayers and retail investors. Institutional investors wouldn't dream of doing so little DD.

There's no other way to say this: Investing in Startups is worse then Trading Crypto. Unless you have insider information there is no way to make any profit here.
**FACTS**
I have been investing in Startups since 2018.
I have invested in 36 businesses.
9 businesses have failed.
1 business has been sold with a 50% loss.
0 business have made successful exits.
Based on invested value I have 21.88% loss so far.
I don’t expect to make any profit, I expect to lose close to 100% of my investments.
In contrast I have made a profit of 7.25% per year (these last three years) with my other investments.
**THE WAY I SEE IT**
Businesses are being bankrupted artificially.
It usually goes like this:
- there are no more money because the times are hard, because they could not secure additional funding, because the tech or the business model was not good enough or because of damage to property
- the business goes into bankruptcy
- but wait a moment! because somehow, out of nowhere there is a new surprize investor, a new injection of capital and
- all assets (all ideas, all tech, all property) are transferred to the new surprize investor and
- the business resumes activity like nothing ever happened but free of the average investor, free of us.
But let’s pause and think for a moment:
- the times are hard? But the stock market is booming! The banks, the oil companies, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, everyone! makes so much money that they don’t know what to do with.
- they could not secure additional funding? But they did when the surprize investor come. It’s funny how they (the surprize investor) waited until the business reached a valuation of Zero to buy it.
- the tech or the business model was not good enough? But a new entity is already using it or it may use it soon enough. Rebranded of course! Let’s not make it so obvious!
- damage to property? Are you telling me that they were not insured? But.. it’s the law!
I’m not saying that this applies to all startups, for some it really just doesn’t work (the idea, the tech, the leadership is just not good enough), but for most others it applies. Some are so obviously sabotaged that I’m amazed that we live in a world where something like this is allowed. Actually no, I’m not amazed. It shows the true nature of the law.
Another small thing to think about: See how they play with words?: "there is always a possibility that investments will not perform as expected". They use this wording to make people think that most of the time investments will perform as expected and sometimes they will not. This is the lie! In truth investments will almost never perform as expected and (maybe) only sometimes will. Therefor the honest (sincere) wording should be "there is sometimes a possibility that investments will perform as expected". This gives a clearer picture of the actual situation.
**WHY HAVE I WRITTEN THIS REVIEW**
It’s difficult to keep silent when Seedrs releases yet another one of their annual Portofolio Reports which looks.. well.. I wonder how they can come up with this stuff. For example: Page 25 / 7.2 Performance / 7.2.1 Average Non-Tax Adjusted IRR (Internal Rate of Return): 6.9% while I can clearly see with my own eyes that I have -21.88%. I mean.. I believed this when I first read it 5 years ago, before I started investing but now.. they can’t lie anymore, to me anyway. This makes me sick! Reading the rest is no different.
I will update this review in the future as/if things change.

My conclusion: That was a mistake
I have been invested in over 100 companies for several years. My conclusion: That was a mistake. The risks are sometimes different than expected. It also has to do with the fact that there are different categories of stocks, and you are likely to end up being the one disadvantaged. It happened again recently with BUX.

There are various reasons why I won't continue investing further. And to be clear: Legally, everything is certainly fine. You can also watch great videos, and there are certainly investors who have made a profit. It's my personal assessment that I made a mistake.

Platform and investor interests not aligned
I can only wonder if all these positive reviews are from genuine investors. Simple issue is that Seedrs makes their money through fees linked to investments made through their platform. The more new funds for investments are raised, the more fees they earn. The performance of these new companies is irrelevant as they don't co-invest and as such as they don't care how much money investors lose. They raised money for a firm that went bankfrupt several weeks later. No due diligence at all!

Enjoy your money, don’t waste it through Seedrs
If you want to invest in start up companies, don’t go this route. You are completely unprotected and you will definitely lose the majority of your investment. Personally I Invested in two companies, Movingbubble and Bux, and lost all my invested money with both.
Please, do not use Seedrs to invest into companies. Buy ETF’s or plain stock. Buy real estate. Or just blow it on stuff you’ll actually enjoy. But never EVER invest through this company.

I have written my review openly with my full name, as I truly stand behind my negative review. If you cannot find my investor-profile, it should tell possible investors how you are handling data.
Regarding your line that you do everything to protect investors, please elaborate as to how it can be possible that at the beginning of december a new round of investment was opened for Bux, and after a few days when the round closed, all of the sudden Bux is sold with a loss to a big bank, but only round 3 investors get 3x their investment after this sudden sale, and the original investors, like myself, stemming back from 2016(!!) are left empty handed, because someone has to take the loss.
What happened here is insider trading, of which Seedrs had FULL knowledge. Everybody from Seedrs and Bux should be in jail for insider trading. Let’s wait for the class action lawsuit that will soon follow. And congratulations on throwing away any reputation you might had with this one deal.
I truly hope no one will ever invest through Seedrs anymore.

Outrageous fees in and out of investments; most companies fail, often due to borderline fraud, and when they don't fail they often rejig shareholder agreements so that crowd investors get screwed (e.g. with preference shares etc); Seedrs will never get involved to support investors' claims and often they are the last party aware of such important changes to corporate structures.
Don't chase some wild get rich dream with crowdfunding, stick your money in an ETF
