Most of the staff are helpful pleasant & efficient in the
Doncaster branch in Wheatley all but one who isn't t efficient he can't concentrate cos his talking is excessive that's all he's interested in doing.

Their collect now process is backwards. Used them twice since opening, both times not good. Second time I drove for an hour to collect a generator that had returned to stock only to discover the stock was in a warehouse in a different country, wouldn't be here for a week and i wouldn't get a refund until it arrived in Ireland in a week. Spoke to smarmy customer service woman who couldn't give a hoot. Read the small print because their website isn't clear about the location of their stock. As in it shows you where they do have stock and really they don't.

Ordered a radiator with free valves thinking it would all arrive on the same day the radiator arrived on Friday the values on the Monday was hoping to fit the radiator on the Saturday so had to go and get more valves
Sow be aware it does not say on website order will come over 4 days
Waste of time trying to explain the problem to Screwfix

Excellent service. This is my 3rd time purchasing items from Screwfix, on the Kinsale Rd on Cork. On all three occasions I received exceptional service. I had several items to get, and needed I put on which available options were most address my needs. The manager MJ helped me most recently. The team are a credit to the store and management. Mary

Went into the store to pick up an item I'd ordered online, but the staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful. I waited ages despite being the only person there. When I finally got my item, it wasn't even the right one! Had to go back to sort it out and they made it feel like it was my fault.

Refunded the cost of the Mira shower I bought from them, even though Mira was at fault for shipping the wrong parts with the shower in the first place.

I use Screwfix for all my DIY needs. Their service is excellent and should you have a problem, they will always deal with it to the customers satisfaction.
The staff are friendly and very helpful.
I would recommend them without hesitation.

What can I say..as a regular customer of Screwfix I am disgusted to say the least...
Bought 2 drills on line to collect for presents ...was going up today to pick them up and low and behold this morning I get a message from them plus PayPal to say that they had refunded the money....WTF...
No reason,no explanation...
Only thing I noticed was that the drills had gone up in price...
Is this normal practice?
Is it illegal..?
Absolutely sick...

Update....got a half arsed apology but no explanation...

Ordered a car vac..both brushes were missing so had to drive 40 km each way to a store for a replacement and was left 1 brush short...waste of my damn time screwfix

I have been going property refurbishment and have been purchasing several items from the Ruislip Branch.
I cant' praise team in the Ruislip branch enough.
They have been brilliant, great service, refund without any quibble or questions.
Team are very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable.

As an apprentice electrican i decided to buy a dewalt drill set. I purchased a drill set off of Screwfix last year 12/12/23 in Blackpool, Cork city , a 4 piece kit dewalt (DCK456M3T-GB) Cost €649.95 of my hard earned money.
Not long later my battery drill began giving trouble after very little use, I brought it back to Screwfix and they said no problem and gave me a new set and apologised as “all of their dewalt gear was starting to come back due to customer complaints” . 8 months later the exact same problem with my drill has accrued , I brought it back to Screwfix Blackpool again and was told by a member of staff who laughed in my face and said “it must be your fault that your drill is faulty again and proceeded to tell me there is absolutely nothing they will do for me. this drill set cost me €649.95 and screw fix will not offer me any refund/exchange options. My advice is to stay clear of srewfix as they do not stand over their goods, and their attitude toward customers is appalling.

I ordered and paid for 4 brass water fittings on Friday I went in Sunday to collect was told only 2 were in stock until the 20th now I’m only off on Saturday to do bits around the house had all ready to go and then no fittings is ridiculous carry on I should have been told they were out of stock when I was buying them won’t be getting my money again now they’re paid for 2 fittings I won’t be getting never again

I was in the process of buying a €680 SDS drill and was asked if I wanted to set up an account but I declined. The employee refused to take no as an answer. I was asked again, then again then another employee got involved and asked again.
In the end I just left without making the purchase. Can you not just take the money and hand over the item like everywhere else?

I discovered today that there is no support for Forged Steel products. I managed to break the aluminium cutter stop of the loppers. It split being not very strong.
I was informed by the helpful staff that these Forged Steel products are made by Screwfix and there are no spare parts to be had. So, bin the loppers and re-buy them from a reputable company that supports its products. Forged Steel???

Very knowledgable staff especially compared to competitors. Competitively priced, great range. I've waited longer than expected for deliveries, just go to the brick and mortar shop instead.

What's the point in leaving a review for it not to be published as it didn't meet their criteria. Nothing offensive or stupid in the review. One star rating for a product that was bought as it was mixed in the bag. "Collected glands but never checked package before I left shop. Bag already opened and resealed with tape. Two different glands in the bag. Obviously a return by another customer. As only a quick DIY job and only needed one of them, lucky for me one fitted and worked" Cannot publish what they don't like seems to be the solution.
