I ordered a few items from my local store, and paid for them as you would.. Half hour later got a message stating that one of these items wasn't in stock and I would have to wait a few days to collect it.. Why can't this company get their on line sales to check before purchasing that such an item was available to collect or not... Most well ran sales companies have a procedure that doesn't all for sales to go through without the buyer knowing of the situation... Nothing worse than buying something from a seller and later to find out that that item wasn't available.

I had ordered a click and collect Dewalt impact driver for collection next day from the Pontyclun store. The following day I received a general email with special offers and yes, there was a better offer for not much more, I could have a twin kit of impact driver and drill.
I explained the situation to the person instore and she was totally on my side. The refund was sorted for the click and collect model and she helped me order the new order on my app, as I had forgotten my glasses.
I hope I have got her name correct, I'm pretty sure it was Laurie. She had a lovely way about her and she even made a fuss of my dogs.
Absolute pleasure to deal with. Thankyou.

Happy to report that Screwfix have contacted me by phone with a professional & courteous apology and a solution to rectify the situation.
I have accepted both and will dismisss this recent experience as not being true to their usual efficient service. Thank you.
Screwfix Irl used to be a reliable & fairly prompt with order & collect process.
Now utterly deplorable.
Ordered 1 item over 1 week ago. They raised 2 invoices + 1 refund...what is that about. Started email correspondance but obviously they do not log anything as different agents have different excuses. Eventually I selected a refund as ran out of patience dealing with such incompetence...but no sign of it being processed nor any communication from them.
Avoid them , no more shopping on this site.

I went into screwfix in sandyford and ordered and payed for 8 items at 7.50 pm, I left at 8.05 pm it was busy. The next morning got a message from DPD to say my order will be delivered today between 2 and 3, I taught it was another order I was waiting on, but it was the screwfix items I ordered the night before,couldn't believe it .

I paid good money for my order N1988124694. They said that it was delivered, but I have never received it. I have reached out multiple times, but just get radio silence. This was my worst experience with an online purchase ever.

I can't believe that a builder's supplier has no cement.

I tried to order an expensive shower online with screw fix.ie, after 3 days I got an email saying contact them, when I did they told me I need to attend one of their stores to have my bank card verified before they send me the shower, this seem weird to me as they had already taken the money if my card needed to be verified how could they take the money? I told them i wanted a refund as i felt like it was some sort of scam and had given them alot of money plus I live 40 miles from my local screw fix this is why i wanted to get it delivered, it took almost 10 days 5 phone calls to screw fix, 2 phones calls to my bank in order to get my money back, all in all it took 2 weeks, several phone calls and alot of panic about being scammed by screw fix in order to not get a shower from them, I seriously do not recommend, do not do business with this scam. It's is very difficult to get a refund or even a product from them.

Not your general hardware store it’s all about them having all your details

Why can’t you just go in and buy something over the counter without logging into this and downloading this and they forget the option if your not the one collecting the item

Bought a gardening tool online. I only bought it as it said it was in stock in my local store and needed it that day. Then get an email saying it will be with you in 2 days couldn't do the job intended. Here we are 3 days on and still nothing. The time before I ordered something exactly the same thing but this time arrived down to the shop after saying item is ready for collection and then the person in store had to apologise as it wasn't in stock. Twice I have used them and twice they have let me down. Won't be using them again.

Used numerous (10+) times over the last year as doing a house extension/renovation.
I can not fault the company either if collecting from local (Westport) or via delivery service. Easy online ordering and payments. Helpful and friendly local staff.
Prices can be slightly higher than other outlets for same items sometimes but also better for other items.
I search around but keep on going back to. I recommend.

Always found them great. Open 7 days and the website is clear and simple to use

tried to buy a couple of items , 20 mins of filling out forms new passwords they want your phone number but not a land line , never again

The new payment system is very misleading, I have used screwfix.ie since they opened in Ireland as far as going over 10km till a local one opened.
The pretax price is in big bold writing while the actual price you pay is barely legible.
Other then that, I have no issues staff are lovely and knowledgeable.

Wanted to speak to Ennis store. When I was put through the staff member was not pleased and used an irritated tone. When I asked if the product was a good one I was told,again in an irritated tone that they were in retail not in trade and I should check Google and Anazon. Not customer friendly.

I recently put a review of my experience dealing with Screwfix..which caused quite an unnecessary amount of my time and wasted energy. It involved trying to get a refund from them for a product that I returned. However, after visiting their premises in Sandyford a couple of times to have their error rectified, it was eventually dealt with their Manager Paul who resolved it....thank you. It should never have got to this so hopefully Screwfix will learn from this experience.

First of all I wish I could give a big negative score.
This morning I bought two Honeywell Replacement heads.
When I tried to install them I found the contents of the box were not as described on the label. I took them back to Screwfix who check their stock, found two they said would fit and charged me another £50 for the higher price of the one they said was correct. Total now paid to Screwfix £200. I installed the heads, connected them to the wiring centre then found heating/hot water did not work. Checking the packing again discover I had been given the wrong heads again.
Giving up with that branch I drove to another. I bought two more valves for £150 and left store. Before driving away I decided to check contents of boxes. Again, packing stated the correct part, contents incorrect. The store gave me a full refund. The problem I now have is I have installed the second two heads from the first shop, one of which I had to cut the flex so will be trying on Monday to get a £200 refund.

Customer service is terrible contained them to change address before my order was confirmed yet they sent it to the wrong address

Recently had a bad experience with screwfix and the customer service is an absolute disgrace. They just send a generic email and don’t actually even look at complaints. Very disappointing

Recently brought a water pump with fittings, excellent pump, good efficient service as always.

We bought an electric shower with Screwfix. When installed by a plumber we realised that Screwfix provided with a much inferior model.

Raised a complain with screfix and the only option is to get another plumber to remove it, then i need to bring it to the shop before they can give me the right one. Then I need to get again a plumber to install it. And they say they can not cover all the extra plumbing cost.
