I posted a review but most were positive and negative!. My review was posted on their site as I made a negative post. So they only post positive so I guess constructive criticism never gets posted,
Screwfix you have to sometimes take it on the chin !.

I usually have good service from Screwfix, but you can't use a voucher online and can't order to pay on collection, so you if the item isn't in stock, you have to go twice - once to order then again to collect.

Was sent the wrong item and after some hassle was promised £20.00 credit which seems I cannot use online but have to drive 30 miles to the nearest shop to use, by that time I'll have used up my credit in fuel.
Told different stories each time I contacted them

Bought today the Roughneck Fibreglass Post-Hole Digger, best £40 I've spent, this does the job easily and quickly, the quality is there, feels good and easy to use, I would have been there for hours, it took me 10 minutes

Bought an Ariston water heater from Screwfix. The unit was faulty and I had endless communications with Ariston in one of the most stressful communications I have ever had with a company. Eventually I decided to get rid of the Ariston unit and contacted Screwfix who immediately accepted the return, collected the unit from my home and provided a full refund.

I collected my order today from the Bamber Bridge store and without any hesitation the member of staff offered to carry it to my car for me, as it was a generator and heavy. He kindly put it in my car along with being friendly, polite & jovial- where on earth do you find that these days!!
He cheered me up no end, I’m 70years old now - THANKYOU my man & thankyou screwfix for employing such a great chap👏👏👍

What an utter shambles and non-event their customer service is!
I ordered a set of under cabinet lights, which turned out, you needed a power lead for, which is not supplied or even available at Screwfix (no mention of this on the item listing), so is therefore, not a complete product. After an email or two, it was agreed that a collection would be arrange and a refund issued!
It took over a month for the items to be collected after being fobbed off, we will arrange it platitudes. It took a letter threatening legal action for someone to actually arrange a collection. It has now been almost another month, and no refund issues despite many emails saying this will be processed.
Nobody listens, nobody cares, nobody seems to be accountable.
I guess they just keep fobbing you off until you give up and they keep your money! Not going to happen. A letter before action has been sent along with a strongly worded letter to the CEO.
Shopped for years with Screwfix. No longer, this is the final straw of a company that fails time and time again to get anything right.

Always had excellent service from Screwfix , up until recently.
There's been a noticeable decline in service and I'm 100% certain it is thru no fault of the staff . Most times I call in, recently, the staff seem to be overworked or tasked with too many things to do at once.
In my opinion , there just isn't enough staff to cope with the customers wanting , either to be served or to , like me , pop in to collect my internet order.

I've always felt the dedicated tradesperson counter was perfect for me, but, unfortunately the door is locked too often and I'm told (politely, apologetically) there is not enough staff.
I know staff have holidays, have sick days , maternity/paternity leave but this seemingly low staff count has been obvious to me for months.

I must emphasise the staff (that are there serving) are NOT the problem . It's just , literally, there's not enough of them as I remember from my previous good reviews and experience.

My local store is Birstall.
The staff that are available to serve, are still excellent, but they can only do so much !

I have used the Gravesend store since it opened and up until recently have been delighted with their prices, stocks and help. BUT, recently I used click and collect for some pots of fertiliser and after collection wondered why the car had a strong smell. Upon unloading I found that the top pot had been cracked and the contents had been spilling out.... I then understood why there was dirt (actually fertiliser) on the lower pot. This must have been obvious in the storage area and when handing it to me that one was leaking and that it was just fobbed off on me.
OK, mistakes happen but today I collected two packs of batteries and before leaving the store I looked and found that one pack had been opened with the tear strip completely removed - obviously wrong and possibly interfered with - but given to me anyway! I will be thoroughly checking everything before I leave this store in the future. VERY disappointing.

It feels like literary they are trying to be hated by everyone. There isn't a simple aspect about this company that is positive!

I had ordered some items on-line for collection at a Screwfix outlet but by mistake went to a different one. Instead of just sending me to the right one, at their own suggestion they managed to swap the order to the one I was in. Saved me significant time.
Excellent service, thanks to the staff involved. The store was at Wrecclesham, was on Sun 19th about 15.00.

Surprised at the low scores here. I always order online and collection is prompt, returns are no questions asked, so not much more I could ask for.

Screwfix in Middleton is okay if you just wish to order on line and collect but heaven help you if you as for assistance in store. Jeff pulls his face the moment you begin to ask a question and obviously does not like using the computer screen to look anything up. I have attempted to seek customer service at Screwfix a number of times but will never use their store again. All the staff in Toolstation in Middleton go above and beyond to help customers. Total opposite to Screwfix

Ordered a boiler and all the required parts from Screwfix. Everything arrived as expected and all items were delivered correctly, which made the job much easier. The price was okay, although a bit higher than I would have liked, but they were the only place I could find with stock at the time so I went ahead with it.

Overall a good experience and I would use them again. It would have been 5 stars if the price had been around £70 less.

The whole experience was amazing!! The technology, the ordering, and the personal service at the counter from Ben and Ethan was superb! (Ben was slightly Better than Ethan). What a time to be alive! Thank you Screwfix!

Ordered click and collect several times and each time email states "Please await SMS text before going to the store" and not once have I received a text. I have to phone their generic phone number 0333 011 2112 every time and every time I am told it is ready to collect.

Have ordered through the App several times. In the last 6 months every product is delayed for collection despite the order saying at the time of purchase, ‘next day’.

Why do customers who use Electricfix get better service than everyone else?
Why are Electricfix customers separated from everyone else- they even have their own room - The word Apartheid comes to mind?
Why did two Electricfix customers get served before others who had been waiting in the other section?
Screwfix states it promotes an inclusive environment for customers- It seems some customers are more equal than others.
At this clear separation I spent my hard earn money in Toolstation
