This is my second policy, I didn’t claim the first time but I had to cancel my trip this time because I broke my leg and they just repaid me for my trip. 🙂

I had to make a claim for a flight…
I had to make a claim for a flight delay, and actually spoke to a human which was nice, and they told me what they needed and paid my claim.
will use these guys next time.

Strange sanction policies
You can't buy the insurance from them if you are a citizen of Ukraine, even if you are a resident of another EU country. When I asked the customer service about it, they said that Ukraine is a "sanctioned country". The customer service representative was very attentive and polite though and suggested other companies I can buy from.

Thanks for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to share where we can improve.
To clarify some of your points, though, we unfortunately can't currently cover residents of Ukraine. We hope this will change soon.
We can, however, provide cover for Ukrainian citizens who are not residents of Ukraine. This is not due to Ukraine being sanctioned, and our apologies if we used this word, but due to complications around repatriation into Ukraine, should a member require this.
We're glad to hear our customer service team were attentive and polite, though.

While I didn't have to make a claim, I found it really easy to purchase my policy. I like that they covered adventure activities as other insurers I looked at didn't. Would use Rise & Shield again.

Fast customer service and good product
Straightforward and easy to understand insurance product, with lots of adventure activities covered. Their customer service was fast and the answers to my questions were detailed and clear. I've not made a claim so can't comment on that.
